    We just returned from a 4 day trip on The American Eagle.  Very relaxing and quite interesting.  Captain John Foss is extremely knowledgeable and easy going.  The crew is professional, helpful and fun.  The cook is talented and thus, the food was awesome.  Our berth was adequate - the bed comfy, hot and cold water in the sink, enough cubbies and hooks to hold our items.  We enjoy viewing the Maine coast from this water view.  One day 3 we had the most lovely sunset and moon rising followed later on by a view of Jupiter and then saw her 2 moons through binoculars.  There was plenty of space on deck to read, sleep, chat, knit (as one woman did), get to know the other passengers or be by yourself.  We're already looking forward to returning next summer.
