I started to look into self defense classes and someone recommended American Dragon Marital Arts Academy. They teach hapkido which is a Korean self defense martial arts. After calling and talking with someone over the phone I signed up and quickly fell in love. They are amazing. In short amount of time I felt completely confident, comfortable and more in shape than I have ever felt in my life. They have helped me do a complete 180. I have never had such a great experience in any gym or class in my life. No matter what martial arts you are interested in learning, they will help take you to the next level.
Specialties
The American Dragon Martial Arts Academies school in Winter Garden, Florida specializes in Taekwondo for children and families. Hapkido adults self defense class. YuSool Korean Jujitsu and TangSooDo Korean Karate for all ages.
History
Established in 1982
Grand Master Richard Hackworth, 16 time Hall of Fame Inductee founded American Dragon Martial Arts Academies of Winter Garden, Clermont, Orlando and Sunrise, Florida in 1992. Only one year later, the Korean Martial Arts Instructors Association, which has over 6,000 member schools around the world, named American Dragon Martial Arts School of the Year.
We are the only school in the USA to ever earn this award and the only school in the world to have ever earned it 3 times! Today under Grand Master Hackworth's leadership, Our school has numerous locations across the U.S., Colombia and South Korea.
