He was recommended to me from a fond neighbor and I am so happy that she did because he is tremendously helpful.
Chris is punctual. Listens well and adds input, has a caring and sensitive attitude recognizing that we all have personality and character setbacks just like our animals. He is very perceptive and while in training keeps you on track. The dogs naturally follow his lead and respond well.
I strongly recommend.
Check him out at fiesta Island on Saturday mornings at 9:30 am -

I found Chris on Yelp and took the recommendation of others and I am glad I did. I saw a drastic improvement with my dog with just one training session. We are doing our second session tonight but am very happy about the results I have seen so far. He seems to really understand dogs and vice versa.

I can't stress enough how great of a trainer Chris is. He isn't just a dog trainer who randomly comes to your house, he invests in you and your dog ~ honestly a dynamic person.
I sent my 2-year lab/doberman mix to him after a recommendation from a boyfriend who had sent his dog there. Now our group of friends all send their pets to him. My dog was very smart yet had bad habits like barking for attention and chasing flashes of light.
It is the best deal in town ~ I did 21 days where she went and stayed with Chris at his kennel. I didn't see her but he called to give me updates. When you pick your dog up you then spend an afternoon 1-on-1 with him as teaches you commands and walks you thru the process. Followed up by a home visit 2-weeks later to reinforce that he will still be presence in their lives. Having a dog is always going to be ongoing training and I call him whenever I have an issue.
He also has boarding which is really like boarding+training and is a smokin' deal.
He broke her of all her bad habits and I now feel confident that I can walk her off the leash even in a downtown setting.
Basically if I had $1 million bucks after winning the lotto, I would want to give some of it to him. He does this because he loves it and good at it and that is what is so important. I get compliments all the time because my dog is so well behaved, he brings out the best attributes in any breed! -

Not only is Chris Moredock amazingly gifted with dogs, but he has an incredible integrity that sets him apart from any other dog trainer I've ever met. My dog (a female Belgian/German Shepherd) and I have worked with Chris 1-on-1, in group classes, and he also provides boarding to my only child when I'm away on business, which has been quite frequently. I've tried boarding at Markim and Fon Jon based on other user reviews, and every time my girl comes home traumatized for days. The fact that those places have tons of young kids manning the kennels, never let you see the actual kennels the dogs are boarded in, and don't even let you bring your own food (actually, Markim does let you bring your own food) makes me wonder what is really going on behind the scenes, especially when many things that should be included in boarding are counted as extras: $$ for evening pee-pee times, $$ for exercise, $$ for different food...the list goes on! Chris's boarding is excellent, he takes great care of my baby, and also provides ongoing training while she's in his care and she comes home even more brilliant then when I dropped her off. Chris has a genuine love for what he does and it's rare to see someone... anyone... give anything away for free when it's the core of their business. This is what Chris does every Saturday at Fiesta Island where he conducts a large group training class.. for FREE. Fiesta Island is the ideal place to work with on some of those hard to break habits with Fifi and Fido because of the constant distractions of other dogs and people passing by. Half the battle is understanding how the get your own dog to pay attention to you! Chris provides excellent direction and the results of his methods are usually immediate. And did I mention, humane! At the end of the free group class, Chris is still willing and eager to give you the answers you're looking for on other issues you're having at home. Chris is a rare breed of passion and integrity!

We used Chris 10 years ago, and have recommended him to everyone. His one visit with our new puppy Lola *who is now 10* helped us make her wonderful. He is the best gift you can give your dog to make him lovable to everyone.

Chris is an amazing trainer. This is not a job for him, it is so much more. He takes great pride in what he does and cares for each dog based on their needs and personality.
As the previous reviewer said, dogs listen to him and respect his energy. I have seen him work with many, many dogs from fearful ones to aggressive ones to dogs with ADD. And the results are there as long as the humans follow through with his training plans.
Chris can work with any breed and volunteers his time to offer free classes at Fiesta Island and also works with local rescue groups, training dogs to be more adoptable.
Does your dog need help - Call Chris. I promise you will not be disappointed. -

Chris is an AMAZING dog trainer. He is kind, patient, caring, personable and above all knowledgeable. He is flexible with his schedule to accomodate his clients. We had 4 in home sessions with him and saw a significant improvement in our dog's unwanted behaviours as well as an improvement in the relationship between our dog and us. He truly evaluates the situation before implementing any one method and believe me when I say his methods work. He goes above and beyond with follow up calls/emails to make sure the training is working and is most effective for your dog. He not only values the quality of his training, but also the realtionship between your dog and you. He truly worked wonders with my dog's barking and jumping without altering her personality. You can tell that Chris is truly passionate about what he does and that this is not just a job to him, but something that he truly cares about. I would without a doubt highly recommend Chris for any of your dog training needs.

I was refered to ACT by a co-worker.
I had searched the internet, read reviews about other trainers and facilities. Most were what I thought to be extrememly overpriced. Up to $150 per private lesson plus wanted to add a "travel fee" on top of it.
Chris Moredock (Owner) is excellent. Positive re-enforcement training. He shows up and my dog listens. I think he's really training us, not the dog. He's good at what he does, very friendly, cares about us and our dog and obviously loves what he does for a living. He even offers FREE classes at the Fiesta Island dog park every Saturday @ 9:30am. -

My unruly pack (four german shepherds, we're talking over 300 lbs of dog) learned manners that I never thought possible with just two home visits from Chris. The dogs immediately behaved for Chris and he trained me to get the same results. Chris taught me a variety of techniques useful for the differing personalities of the dogs. I highly recommend him for any dog with any problem
