My employer had a brewing event, to make beer to bottle for our clients at an upcoming event. The brewing was intended as a social outlet for employees and adult family, to help build unity among coworkers in a tense economic times.
We had a blast. The folks at ABC welcomed us, gave us enough information to brew a batch and we had a lot of fun, some of us more actively involved with the brewing, some more involved in fellowship.
We then retired to the 'tasting room' out back for more beer and fellowship.
With no food sales, this is not a typical 'brewpub' like the big guys do. Beer is all they sell, made there by the crew on hand. Lots of variety, all I had was pretty tasty.
I didn't pay the bill, so I can't comment on $ vs value. I can say that I look forward to two weekends from now for the bottling.
I just think American Brewing Co is a pretty chill place.

Similar to following the yellow brick road, you follow the path of painted beer mugs to the land of American Brewing or Beer Oz if you consider a wizard of beer behind the curtain of plastic leading off of the tasting room!

Who needs a heart, brain or courage when you have beer?!

In this land you will find incredible craft brews developed by local brewer Skip Madsen.  My personal favorite being the Caboose Oatmeal Stout and the magic here is that they offer it on Nitrous taking it to a delicious creamy level.  My husband is a huge fan of the Breakaway IPA and it's IBU goodness.

The beer wizard will also let you take home a keg for a reasonable deposit or fill up a growler for you to go.  Sometimes there is no place like home to enjoy a cold one!

Otherwise this Beer Oz offers you a comfortable place to commune with the locals, play games, darts and even shuffle board.  Make yourself at home, join the club and have your own mug to use each visit.  They will also accomodate private parties. On sunny days the garage door is opened, bringing the inside out or outside in, whichever you prefer.  You can also bring your furry beast as long as it is leashed!  Along with live local music on the weekends, what more could you ask for?

This land is complete with is a good beer witch, instead of Glenda, her name is Jenna.  She is awesome, super hospitable and will take care of all your American Brewing Co. dreams!

I don't drink too much beer, but I love joining my buddies here when they have a hankering for a cold one. The people/service is SUPER friendly... it's almost like you've walked into your neighbors garage. They solely serve beer (H2O & popcorn for me!) but they have menus where you can have some local shops deliver to the brewery.

They have some TV's to watch and shuffleboard (which I have recently learned is pretty darn fun).

The location is in a business park by the train tracks in Edmonds and kind of hard to find, but well worth it once you do. The navigation doesn't help much! Give 'em a try and support your local businesses!

Simply Rad!  Best Washington IPA I have had in a long time.  Oatmeal Stout kicks ass as well.  Buy Lots.

They do a good job with brewing. The oatmeal stout is the best i've had. (By best I mean favorite. Its simple, but really good) We had some other beers that we really liked, however, we got confused as to which one was which. ( i can't imagine how beer would cause confusion and mental lapses). They roll up the back door when the weather is nice.

Favorite spot to go for just a beer... cause that is all there is (except the popcorn).  Great brews.  The Stout is on nitro - Get it!!!  Skip the brewmaster is great.  This is far from his first attempt at brewing - transplants from Bellingham have likely tasted some of his art.  The bartenders are attentive and the crowd is always friendly because we are all there for the same thing - tasty brews and good attitudes.

I hear the blond is nice (my GF seems to like it).  Keep your eyes open because you can spot their IPA in more and more places around the sound.

    Follow the yellow beer road...

Seriously, once you park just follow the yellow painted beers on the asphalt around back and once your're in the building take the first door on the right to find the tasting room.

The brewery was a perfect stop after visiting the Marina Beach dog park.  $4 pint and $9 growler fills. Four beers were on tap - IPA, Blonde, Red and Stout.  The Red was my favorite.  Free popcorn!

I admit it, I love many oatmeal stouts, and the Breakaway Caboose is no exception. On CO2 it's fabulous, but on nitro, it is excellent. We brought home a growler, and I'm enjoying some right now. Rich, smooth, nothing bitter, but plenty of flavor. It's equally good whether still chilled, or after your pint has warmed up a bit. It gets a little more chocolaty, but fortunately, isn't the least bit smoky. I hate smoky beer.

I also got to taste the red, and the blonde, and both were very, very good. The blonde would be perfect while washing your car on a hot day, but even better during a sunny afternoon at the ballpark. The people who were drinking their IPA and pale ales seemed to be enjoying them, so there's something for hopheads, too.

I hope that in the future, this taproom will be able to offer food, but the free popcorn and pretzels will do for now. The beer is definitely worth coming back for. I was impressed by the staff: knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. And thanks for double-checking our growler cap after filling, AND wiping it all down with a bar towel. It's a small thing, and we try to wedge any growler securely in our trunk, but I appreciated the fact that we had no leakage (or drippage) to contend with.

This place is definitely worth a stop in if you're waiting for the ferry or have  just finished brewing up some beer next door at Gallagher's. My friends and I stopped in after an afternoon at Gallagher's and we were ready to try some new beer. They had something here for all of our specific picky tastes and I was a big fan of Blonde, which I could probably have had a couple of.

We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and seems to take great pride in his taproom and brews. The free popcorn was a nice afternoon snack and we even were surprised with a few free hotdogs. If you're looking for some new brews to try, just follow the beers mugs from the parking lot into the tap room. You won't be disappointed!

Don't forget to get your WABL passport stamped here either!

Went last night for the first time.  Skip the brewmeister happen to be heading out as we came in.  That guy is a genius!  Best blonde I have ever had.  I have been craving it all day.  Cool crowd to hang with as well as our tender Julie.  She was super groovy.  I won the cribbage game and next time I hope the shuffle board is available.  Garage door was open and the sun was out.  Check out the youtube on how to find the place.

American Brewing Company might just be my new favorite Taproom.  My wife and I went on Saturday to use our Groupon deal we had bought.  We had planned on just getting the tasting and the two pints that came with the deal but ended up have six pints and leaving with a growler.  All the beer is awesome, but I really enjoyed the Red and the Stout on Nitro.

With two TV's one showing soccer, and one showing baseball, a laid back atomosphere, and bartenders that made you feel comfortable it was hard to leave.

This is a new (7 months old as of Sept. 2011) brewery.  They are sticking with a small  number of styles, each of which they are doing extremely well.  This is tasting room attached to the brewery, with a pleasantly industrial feel.  A very comfortable place to hang out, with free popcorn, games, etc. to entertain and feed you while you drink (you can also bring in your own food).  Hugely enthusiastic waitress when I visited, a real partisan for her beer without being obnoxious about it.

Definitely a place to return to, and definitely beer worth seeking out -- their main business is placing their beers in restaurants and stores.

Four great beers on tap.  Now the stout is on nitro.  Highly recommended!  The owners were here pouring the beers, the brewer was here talking to the customers. Great atmosphere!  No kitchen but you can bring your own or get food delivered.  Support your local brewer.  (plus free wifi!)

Great place, solid beers and fun atmosphere.  Although American Brewing just started less than a year ago they've already got some fantastic beers on the lineup.  The only drawback was that they didn't have a restaurant to pair with their beer but they do offer snacks.  The staff was really friendly and easy to chat with.  It's a little hard to find but well worth a visit.

Once you find "beer mug road" it'll lead you into a new brewery that's already tackled the great taste of beer. I had a taster of each on tap that day, which were quite pleasing to my palette. I was just recently in and tried the Pale and my mouth was in heaven. The garage door was up exposing pretty much the one and only sunny day in the city, which was cool to look out onto what I'm told will be the new outdoor patio.

definitely worth a visit. or 10. Cheers.

I went there for the 1st time w/ my buddy on Friday. The place is awesome, spacious, relaxing & they have some yummy delicious beer. People are very generous & friendly. I love the fact that the warehouse back door is wide open & the summer breeze just takes your breath away.  I give it a big thumbs up.
