WTF where I come from, warehouse sales don't last basically forever and the discounts marked on the window actually exist storewide.

I can't complain too much considering I did find a super warm sweater for $26 and a scarf for $18. I had to leave before I dipped into further but nothing was in any type of order and they have literally more than a thousand t-shirts, I'm sure of it.

The cashiers are super sweet and I don't think there is anyone else working here. I will never step foot into a normal American Apparel again. NEVER. I'll just wait a few months until it winds up here.

The staff doesn't even greet you, and look at you like you aren't cool or fashionable enough to be shopping here. The warehouse is a little bit more organized than I thought it would be, but still manages to be a mess. Many items don't have tags regarding their size and/or are on the wrong size hangers.

Sure things were cheaper than at the store, but they still were pretty expensive. The clothes are still overpriced and there really is nothing special about them. It is a little ridiculous how overhyped this brand is. I got some cool accessories for Saved by the 90's at the Canal Room, but I still spent more than I should need to.

Why would anyone ever shop at a regular AA when you can find everything here not marked up 600%?

It is a warehouse, no fancy paint on the walls, a plywood board that acts like a wheel chair ramp, but lucky us, we still get all the same stuff that comes with a normal AA- insanely dressed staff with smug attitudes and plan clothing that is still over priced.

But at these kind of prices you can justify it on your way home without feeling too guilty.

Walked past on my way to Doughnut Plant. There were huge signs outside advertising the "up 90% off" sale, so I went back later on in the day since I knew my sister wanted a hoodie.

It is messy, oh so very messy. It literally looks like a warehouse. I was overwhelmed shortly after walking in. I had to look through everything in order to find one that fit her and I practically ran out because the mess was driving me up the wall.

Please make sure when you come here to have plenty of time and to not be in a rush. You have to keep your eyes sharp and peeled for rips, discolorations, stains and damages. There are no returns either so make sure of that!

After searching forever, I was able to find my sister 1 hoodie. Purple with pink polka dots, but that was it, literally the last hoodie in XXS that wasn't damaged.

I did not notice stuff that was anywhere near 90% off, maybe if you need an XXXL or something then maybe, just maybe.

In all honesty, I probably wouldn't waste my time here again, yes you can find stuff but they are nowhere near "steals" and the hoodies were the same price as the outlets in CA, we only saved on the sales tax. So it's definitely one of those "if we're in the area" kind of stores.

I used to live down the street from this retail space and I've seen it transformed from a Halloween store, to a Christmas store and lastly to an American Apparel store. As a result, I'm not sure if the AA store is still around, but if it is still in existence, they have a huge selection of discounted American Apparel gear and accessories. Beware that a lot of the merchandise is slightly damaged, which is totally okay if you're going to buy a neon outfit for an occasion like Halloween or a house concert, during which you'll probably ruin your clothes anyway. There aren't any fitting rooms, so get ready to strip down in the aisles if you're intent on trying something on. Note that everything is final sale. Oh, this is also a great spot to buy scrunchies... they're making a comeback, I swear!

This place is the makings of giving someone like me who has no patience for shopping, an ulcer. I came here two other times, made a circle, got a headache from the loud music pumping huge speakers and left emptyhanded. One time was with Miss Valerie G. and I had to pull her away to stop shopping and check out. Finally tonight I found something. I was doing my usual circle and in the corner saw two girls trying on a houndstooth dress that I just recently saw in a regular AA store where I buying slutty deep V white t-shirts for my boyfriend to wear under his sweaters. I quickly scanned around and found the dress. The sign said original price was $58 and warehouse price was $25. Today is also Thursday where dresses are an additional 15% off so I only paid $21.25!

While on my way home, I felt the original price at the warehouse was listed wrongly so I checked it up online and it's actually $84 so I saved 75% on a current store product. Winning!

If you decide to venture here, I definitely recommend looking for the sign that tells you which days of the week will apply an extra 15% off to the item of the day. Also to cross reference the price of the item online to make sure what you're paying is worth it.

After a successful couple weeks of the warehouse sale, AA decided to extend it until January 11th, 2012. I read an article that said 40,000 people showed up in the first week...so I decided to check it out.

They say things are up to 90% off, but I really didn't see anything that was 90% off. Sure, lots of items were 50-60% off, but honestly the discounted prices were what these products SHOULD cost in the first place. Still, I couldn't really justify paying $20 for a crappy, discolored hoodie, or $12 for a super duper oversized, unfashionable t-shirt.

Not to mention, they don't have a fitting room. A security guard told me that if I really needed to try something on, I could go to the left side of the women's section where the racks are closer together and I could get some privacy. AA's clothes fit me weird (I fit into XS, S, M & L), so it's pretty much impossible for me to want to purchase something unless I can try it on.

Also, the downstairs area was a COMPLETE MESS. It's super disorganized! All the crappy, smaller items were down there as impulse-buy products.

All in all, I think this warehouse sale could be a big hit or miss for people. I really think it depends on the expectations you have, and how patient you are willing to be.

Honestly, this warehouse sale is where American Apparel clothes and accessories have one last chance to be picked up by someone before they go into the trash.

There are some good pieces at great prices to be had at the sale, but it takes a lot of patience sifting and making sure that a piece you picked up doesn't have rips, holes, discoloration, or sized incorrectly. Some of the stuff they were selling in the store looked to be damaged goods that were marked out by stores on top of the overstock that I expected. Some of the overstock pieces were interesting in the fact that some had foreign language tags on them, like arabic. The quality of clothes varied from what you're picking from but there is a price range for everyone, from $6.00 terry sweaters to $160 winter coats.

AA has so much stuff crammed into this space that it is really difficult to navigate with so many people shopping. I was often stuck in an aisle squeezing through women with the stores speakers blasting in my ear. What's positive is that if you were looking for something specific like a jumpsuit, you probably could find your size if you are willing to dig through a rack and a half of the same color!

Important detail: NO dressing rooms. Get ready to strip down or dress lightly if you absolutely need to try something on!

I wouldn't go back if they did this again. Often, websites like Rue La La, Gilt Group, and Hautelook when offered have discounted American Apparel merchandise at the same price as what the warehouse sale prices were, for brand new clothes. I think I'll stick to that.

I came here opening day (a Friday) after work around 7PM. Up to 90% retail? I'm there.

Worst. Time. Ever. to go to a sale. The warehouse is ginormous but all the clothes were disheveled and there was nothing good left. I should have known better *hangs head in shame*

But I decided to give AA another chance, because they are here til after Xmas and they are constantly restocking. Came on a Tuesday at around 9:10 (they open at 9AM), and after seeing FB photos that they had just restocked Monday evening I was super stoked.

Best. Day. Ever. to go to the AA sale! They had so many cute things in various sizes. I picked up several chiffon blouses, circle scarves, hoisery, random tanks, hoodies, etc; In total I paid $210 for 15 items of clothing! That's pretty boss ;) I'm fighting hard with myself over going back again before they peace out on the 27th!

    "American Un-Apparel"

I was wicked excited for this sale.  I live in the American Apparel Thermal Henley shirts.  Alas I was strongly disappointed when they had none.

I move onto my next fav shirt, the v-neck.  They have their own little cute section.  Score.  Ehhh wrong.  They all had imperfections, and don't get me wrong I could care less, but most were kinda major or in odd places.

They had a TON of women's clothing and a lot of hoodies.  And they did have your basic colours too (i.e. black, white, grey)

The other reviews are quite accurate as you need to devote some time to score a deal.  Also yes some things are discoloured, torn, poorly made.  But the prices are really reasonable.

Sad to think they had a warehouse of this stuff!!

Wow this was the biggest crap shoot i've ever seen.

Could you find a blockbuster deal? Absolutely. Will it take you an absolute ton of your time to do.

A lot of the items are not overstock, but poorly made, wrongly sized or frankly ripped or discolored.
Also, no changing room means that you are going to be making a lot of guess work. Can i guess on multiple different style of AA pants? No. So i couldn't take the risk even with the right pricepoint.

But the upside is, if you spend your time, you will get something you will like. And for cheap. But you are really digging here.

If you have time to dedicate sifting through the insane amount of clothing here I am sure you can find an amazing deal but I don't think it really would be worth it. The shop was pretty hopping when I went in and it was more than a little too much to handle. The t-shirts were an interesting mix of rejects of all shapes, colors, and sizes. I had been stoked to grab some great deals but decided to head out after only one lap through the sale.
