Just got back from grabbing a sandwich. My coworker recommended Amenities to me and we went for the walk. I got the American Way [lean pastrami, turkey, swiss, and dijon] on a french roll. It was delicious!! Served with a pickle and chips. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this deli for a quick bite to eat.

Downtown is lacking a good deli and this is as close as we can get. This deli has an overwhelmingly huge menu with endless combinations of bread and meat. But they also offer daily "hot" specials like shepherd's pie or chicken parm. The egg sandwiches (you can also get them in wrap form) are the best because they are made to order: a real egg cracked and fried just for you. They also have a case of donuts, muffins, pastries, breads that look freshly baked but I'm not 100% sure on that. Also the staff is sooooo nice!

CASH ONLY!  Delicious creative sandwiches, staff knows many by name.  The down side a little price for what you get for a $7 sandwich.

Working downtown, there are a lot of options for a good quick lunch.  Even with all of these options, I keep going back to Amenities.  The food is consistently good with many options.  There are dozens of sandwiches to choose from that are all made to order.  They also offer several soups and salads too.  The staff is very friendly and very efficient. You can eat there but I prefer getting my lunch to go: there isn't much ambience.  There is a good reason that they have been in business for over 35 years:  they are always a safe bet.

Lunch goers beware while they open bright and early for breakfast when it comes to lunch you must not be late as they close promptly at 3pm and the staff normally has the whole place cleaned up by 2pm and therefore the later you go the less lovely the service. Those things aside Amenities offers a wide variety of sandwiches with tasty flavor combinations as well as sides and drinks. For my lunch selection I decided on the "New Providence"; a combination of roasted red peppers, baby spinach and pesto covered in melted brie cheese. The sandwich was served warm and the ingredients paired well together. I ordered my sandwich on a bulky roll, looking back the French bread may have been a better choice because this meal was messy! I say as long as you grab some napkins it is well worth it. Amenities provides a pickle on the side with your sandwich which was an additional treat that left me satisfied. The portions are smaller than some other sandwich shops but sometimes it is quality over quantity and the price is right with sandwiches just under $5. If you have the time and the cash on hand**as they do not accept credit or debit cards** Amenities may be exactly what you are looking for and it worth a try for a sandwich that isn't your average sub.
