I usually bring my dog in the morning. My dog only weighs 3 pounds, so I take her to the small dog, enclosed section. There is a lot of regulars  that sit and chat, as their dogs play. I love it here. They also have WIFI!!!

The best dog park in SoFla. If you love your kids, you would take them to Disney or Jungle Island. Well, if you love your dog, this is the place you take them

    lock it up

Oliver gives it four paws up! They have it sectioned off so that lap dogs can play amongst themselves, while the big dogs (or wannabe big dogs) play rough. Tired Oliver out for days.

Fun, and family friendly. A bit of a drive from us, but well worth making.

I've heard of this park referred to as Disney World for dogs. If my dog's excited yelps as we approach are anything to judge by, the Bark Park may very well deserve its reputation.

The Bark Park is a completely fenced five-acre area that has a separate section for smaller or more low-energy dogs. It has paved walkways for those of us afraid of stepping in anything unpleasant. There are rubbish bins at regular intervals that provide one with bags to pick up after our pooches. Be warned, not everyone does the proper thing and stepping in fido poo is a possibility. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables with ample shade around the park. Don't worry about brining water as there are drinking and spray fountains for dogs and humans at the entrance and rear of the park.

Towards the rear of the park there is an agility course of sorts with tunnels, a tire jump, a pair of simplified dogwalks and various other obstacles. My dog usually ignores this and runs after any dogs up for a good romp. Although most of the regulars are friendly, keep an eye out for some larger breed dogs that tend to play a bit rough. There are also some dogs that aren't properly socialized and may snap at other dogs. As always, keep an eye on your dog.

For smaller small dogs, there might be a gap big enough that they can slip out from their separate section. Sometimes there are stones put up to prevent this by other park patrons, but please keep an eye out for this as little Paco may seem like a tasty snack to many of the large breed dogs that frequent the park.

Caution is suggested if you bring small children. Not all dogs are used to children and their reactions may be anything but friendly. I have seen a few strollers in the park without many problems, but the dogs have gone over to investigate what's in the odd moving contraption. As with your canine kids, keep an eye on your human children.

The park is open from sunrise to sunset and admission is free. However, parking is $6 on weekends, but free on weekdays. Your dog must have a rabies vaccine to be allowed in and documentation or a tag is required to have access to the park. Sometimes the park officials aren't present to check for tags, but don't risk it. Your dog should have a rabies vaccine.

This park is definitely worth the drive and your dog will love you for it. It's great fun and a wonderful opportunity for your dog to play with other dogs in a large, secure, open space.

it's a bit of a hike, but the bark park in amelia earhart park is my dog's favorite!  it's a substantial 5 acres split into an area for the big dogs and an area for the little guys.  my dogs beg me to take them there every weekend.  it's usually pretty clean and doesn't have the flooding many of the miami dog parks have.  there's fun little obstacles for the dogs to play on in both sides of the park.

i haven't had any negative experiences here like i've had at the coconut grove & beach parks.

it's free on weekdays and 4$ on weekends.
