Sorry, manners on how to treat the costumer were obviously not taught at this theater.
The last time I went here I saw a guy basically man handle the "security" (who was about my height and build... and I'm a girl). There are fights that break out here, and lately a crack down on curfew -- so you get a security guard right up in your face asking your wrinkly butt "LEMME SEE SOME ID!"
Where am I?
Went to see Watchmen. I prefer the cold calculated mannerisms of the automated ticket dispenser. Got my ticket and walked inside. Some dude started talking to me claiming that he helped write the comic book and was friends with Alan Moore, the author of said comic book. Strange. Movie ticket was 5 bucks. Not the worst theater in the world, but nowhere near the best. They have 2 or 3 liquid butter flavored product dispensers that are self serve. Word.
This theater has gotten a lot better since my last visit. The unruly teens have always been a problem but this visit was a lot better compared to previous ones. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the concession stands. There is always popcorn on the floor along with napkins. Parking is a little better but again, your parking in the lot of a mall so you can't expect to get a great spot. Overall, if I'm at the mall and decide to take in a movie I'll stop in but it's not my first choice.
Anytime you put a theater in the mall (Fairlane), of course you are going to get a huge crowd. This theater is always packed and parking is a mission. However, you will always be able to view any new release because there are 21 screens. There are lots of kids around this one for some reason...hopefully they will start being smarter with security. Either way, there aren't many theaters around so more than likely you would have to frequent this Star one day or another.
i went there with 4 of my friends, it was crowded that day... went to the bathroom and found **** on the floor, i am not kidding. people were trying to avoid stepping on it. i couldn't use the bathroom because of that. i only can say that continuing the movie was painful for me lol !
