Review from Yvette A.
One of the New Years goals I have listed.. If I have nothing good to say, I won't say anything at all. That one probably won't last very long with me but I gotta start somewhere!
A couple of positives about this theater is it has completely empty seats on a Wednesday evening for a 4:30pm showing of Adventures of Tin Tin 3D. I love empty theaters due to lack of loud rings, audible phone vibrations or bright phone home screens 2 rows in front of you. Grrrr. Also, I didn't smell any odd stenches.. and trust me, I can't concentrate on anything when I smell something funny.. However, the 101minute movie had my attention from start to finish without distraction.. which is pretty much all people usually ask for during a movie experience.
Anywho, it's a bit far for me but I'd come back..
on a weekday..
..during matinee :) -

This place isn't as good as amc first colony which is less than 5 miles away but it has cheaper matinee prices than First Colony.
You don't usually see this place packed which is nice if you want a quiet movie watching experience.
The staff are friendly and i suggest to everyone who loves watching movies to get a stubs card. I've received $40 in rewards since using it. -

This place gets worse and worse every time!
I get here with a few others at 8:35 for a movie starting at 8:40 (which is usually more than enough time for getting a ticket and seeing the previews). BUT there is ONE LONG line because they have only ONE person selling/giving tickets. ONE PERSON on a Thursday night.
Thankfully, we had bought our tickets online, so we avoided the line. But we had to go to the customer service desk to get help. I get there and the lights are off and no one around. The guy working around the area notices and starts BANGING on the door for the manager to come out. She finally does (after several loud bangs) and gives us our tickets.
We go inside the theater and it smells HORRIBLE. It is like stepping in a toilet. Although, the seats are comfortable since you can rock them back and forth.
But then as we are watching the movie (a bit dark, mysterious, and scary one), these young girls are just YELLING and LAUGHING and TEXTING the whole time. I mean not just yelling and talking about the movie either, but having full conversations and fights with each other. Also, some of them kept getting up and walking in front of the screen. I understand that the theater is not responsible for other people's actions but it should seriously consider having employees who HUSH people down during a movie.
Overall, I am going to try to avoid this place as much as possible, even though it used to not be this bad. -

don't be deceived from the outside appearance. this place needs to be renovated as soon as possible. its convenient since its down the street from our home. The carpet needs to be replaced with new one then maybe that mildew smell in three Hall will go away. inside the theatre is ok but the seats need to be cleaned more (but that's just me)... if I'm spending money in a place like this if needs to be a little more clean than this. ugh! the restroom was disgusting too! we may not go back to this once if its up to me.... next time we will try first colony...

I had a very similar experience to R.N.
While in line for tickets, we were accosted by two teenage girls asking if we were going to watch Paranormal Activity 3 - we were not. That's fine, whatever. The real kicker started when we got in.
Halfway through our movie, a gaggle of 6-7 teenage girls trapezed into our formerly quiet theater (I highly doubt that they had tickets, it being an hour or more into the movie) and proceeded to text, talk (full-on conversation-talk), and giggle loudly. They waved their cell phones (screens lit-up) around, sat for ten minutes...moved out of the theater...and then trampled back in like buffalo, ad nauseum for the latter half of our movie.
The fact that this is apparently a repeat occurrence, months apart, (again, see RN's review) seriously bothers me. I've been here in the past, and maybe would have rated it two or three stars, but this is just out-of-the-ordinary bad. I gather that I'm a pretty tolerant person, having sneaked into theaters myself when I was younger, and I've been to some pretty ghetto-fied, run-down movie theaters, but this is ridiculous. Especially for the staff not to notice a group of teenagers running in and out of theaters. Even the dollar-fifty movie theater is a better experience than the Loews.
I'm not coming back here, ever. Movies are getting too expensive to deal with B.S. like this. -

One of the great perks of being on Yelp is all the free events we get to enjoy! One of those events took place at AMC Loews Fountains 18 for a free screening of a horror flick. Now, that movie was as sick as they get and three of my six companions abandoned ship leaving just myself, Tina and Tony to watch the end of this very gory film. The film, by the way was The Collector.
But this is about the theatre, which I though was very cute. The seats were very comfortable. One complaint I do have about this theatre is that people kept exiting from the door next to the screen! WTF, that was rude and really annoyed me. Theatre management should definitely look into that.. that can ruin someone's movie! Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. Tina told me that teenagers sometimes visit the theatre and act a mess there, thankfully they were not there that night. Or maybe they were the ones exiting from the emergency door?! There are at least 5 movie theatres around my place, so I don't see myself visiting this theatre much... unless it is a free movie again! Thanks Yelp!! =] -

We went on a Thursday night to a 10:40 viewing of Inception. We walked in, got tickets no problem. The theatre was huge and clean. I was excited that there were only 2 other people in the whole theatre besides us.
That was until 10 minutes into the movie a family came in with 2 toddlers and sat like three rows behind us. They were loud and obnoxious and their kids were running up and down the aisles being loud. I was irritated that toddlers would be in a movie as grown up as Inception in the first place. But I know the theatre can't deny them to bring their kids in, just annoying because the parent's and their friend were having conversations the whole time as well.
Besides that, the seats were comfortable, the image was great, the snacks were like any movie theatre - 5 dollars for a large soda with 1 free refill - not bad. The bathrooms here are super nice. Huge and well lit and even had a couch IN the bathroom if you need to wait for someone.
Parking was also pretty good. This theatre isn't the closest but if you have an AMC card and live in this area at all, it's a good solution. -

Well I'm not sure how I ended up at this movie theatre but I did I had higher expectations from an AMC. Needless to say the outside is run down and looks old. The inside wasn't crowded but it was 3pm. It looked like they were restocking the concessions and had a lot of boxes and stuff in the lobby. They only have one restroom and it's at the front of the building so just be aware of that. It was the general over priced fair ($7.50 isn't too bad). There were only a few people in our theatre so it was nice and quiet. However, upon entering the theatre there was a strange odor, kind of like a dirty, stingy wet locker room. The arm rests don't go up which annoys me everytime. The screen looked like it was fading at times. It would be bright and clear and then look like it started fading, back and forth. I felt like I needed to get my eyes checked but I know it wasn't me because my date mentioned it too.
