Every time I go to this theater the staff is friendly and the theater is clean. They had touch screen dispensers for the drinks that weren't there the last time we were there. I secretly wished to myself that I had one of those drink dispensers at home. Why? I'm not even sure since I rarely drink soda but for some reason I was impressed by it and wishing I had one.
Our movie hardly had any people in it (because we were watching Bridesmaids and it had already been out for a while). I actually love when we are one of the few in the theater because then I have my choice of seats, sometimes an entire row to ourselves. Even on the crowded days I haven't had any unpleasant experiences thus far. The only unpleasantness I have experienced at AMC Firewheel comes from my unreasonable urge to finish every last kernel of buttery popcorn from that SUPER large bag we always order! Besides that sick feeling of being overstuffed, I quite enjoy my time there. -

I love this AMC - truly I do.. too bad I live in Addison now but if it were up to me I would drive down 20 min on the George Bush to go. Of course I won't now with gas prices - so I am stuck with AMC Valley View. None the less, this movie theater is pretty awesome - I love the shopping center and there's so much parking space. If you go on a weekend night - expect almost every movie to be packed. Consider this theater being the closest to many in the rowlett/garland/sachse area.. so if you dont like crowds, stay away from here on a saturday.
So many good memories here! Hope to go again soon! -

An annual favorite on Christmas Day is an afternoon movie! Check out IMAX at AMC Firewheel 18 in Garland (Hwy 78 & PGBT). Fantastic huge screen. So life-like, you will think YOU just lept off the top of that building yourself! My only complaint...... it's way too LOUD. Please, AMC - turn it down a few decibels and stop deafness. Actually, I have chronic hyperacusis and it is "painful" for me to be around loud noises. I have to use earplugs just to tolerate the environment. But, no matter - no one needs it that loud and it's not healthy.
P.S.: We saw Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and it was great! :) -

It is always very clean and the seats are comfortable. The only complaint I have is how exceedingly expensive the tickets are compared to other theaters. I would have given it 5 stars were the value a little better. Love it otherwise!

So, this might be common at most theatres now, but my favorite part about coming here are the drink dispensers. They are self-serve, and unless you get behind someone who is using this for the first time, they make getting to your movie a lot faster than having to wait on the kid behind the counter.
Each main drink available - Coke, Sprite, Dasani, Dr. Pepper, etc. - has a drop down menu that gives you more options. AWESOME!! If you are a drinker like me - not with alcohol - then this is drink heaven :-).
Everytime I come to this theatre it is clean and the employees are generally friendly/polite. Other than that, it is like any other stadium seating movie theatre. -

I love this theater. My favorite one, hands down. It's convenient because I'm always at Firewheel Town Centre. It's always clean. Always plenty of room for seating & everything else. Never seem short-staffed or anything like that.
They have the credit card machines so you can skip the cash line! Good stuff. They have those soft, giant pretzels that are my fave thing ever. And now they have those fancy drink machines that are like, touch screens! How fun is that? -

The movie theater is very clean, modern and the staff is friendly. The seats are comfy and the temp is set just right.
The best time to go is during the AMC AM Cinema promo time before 12 noon local time. Discounted ticket and it is not that busy. -

Here's what I look for in a movie theater:
1) It's got to be clean
2) It's got to be LOUD
3) It's got to have stadium seating (but who doesn't these days)
4) It's got to have easy access to the florescent orange popcorn salt
5) It's got to be close to my house.
AMC Firewheel hits all my requirements and goes a step further by having outdoor kiosks to buy (or pickup Internet purchased) tickets, they have an IMAX screen (but it's the new fake IMAX--e.g. the baby IMAX), and since it's in the "mall" (Firewheel is an outdoor mall), you can park once and walk to a bunch of different places to eat or drink before or after your flick.
And if you use AMC, you have to join the Moviewatchers program. It's FRRRREEEEEE and you get a bunch of free stuff as you earn points like free drinks, snacks, and tickets. Plus if you use your card when you buy online, you don't have to pay the http://movietickets.com surcharge.Listed in: I'll Be Gentle, My Neighborhood

This is the best theater in my rotation of theaters by far.
Its always clean and decent seating and the thing I love most is the popcorn. They have the do it yourself butter and big girl gotta have her butter on the corn. I always get one of those courtesy cups and fill it up so I can apply as little or as much as I want where I want it instead of getting inconsistent coverage.
Whats also great about this location is I can get my tickets outside at the little kiosks. I just hate waiting in lines but I always end up just walking up to the kiosk so much quicker. I have one of those cards they offer. My AMC movies watchers card has gotten me several free items and also free tickets. Not to mention that every time I use it I get at least 50 cents off a popcorn combo.
Only downfall is the ticket cost. It is $10.00 a ticket so that's a little steep especially when you go inside only to spend a fortune on the snacks. All in all this is as good as it gets in my opinion. -

Great movie theater and I am so glad they are close to home too.
What can I say its AMC it has all you need but now days yes you will pay the price holly cow was shocked when I paid $10.00 each for a ticket.
Dollar movies here we come. -

We love this theatre- and here is why:
1. staff are very friendly.
2. even though the refreshments cost a billion dollars- they have value combos- AND free refills on large sizes- so that is nice.
3. stadium comfortable seating throughout every theatre-
4. they have multiple times for all the new releases-so you can catch your favorite flick just about every hour when it first comes out
5. if you get their a little early- the firewheel town center shopping is AWESOME.
This is our first pick theatre! -

I love this theatre, its a newer theatre, VERY close to home and it's next to Firewheel centre which is like an outdoor shopping center. Nothing bad to say about this place. I also LOVE the soda machines they have installed here.

My wife and I go to the movies often. The best time for us to go is on the weekends before noon. AMC offers a discounted rate for the early risers. So on the newly released movies we are able to catch them without having to deal with the ache filled teenagers during the Friday and Saturday night showing during the summer.
If you are in the area, I would highly recommend going to AMC. The seats are comfy and the staff is generous. -

Love this theater! They always have a great mix of movies showing and plenty of parking. Even when this theater is slammed the wait for the concessions or restrooms is never too long. I also love having an IMAX right in my neighborhood.
The one complaint I have is that all the ticket machines and the line for redeeming gift certificates, online tickets etc. is outside. This makes for a not so fun start to the movie going experience in the dead of winter and the heat of summer. -

These are some of the nicest and cleanest theaters. Everything seemed new and we had a great time. The coolest thing about it was the multiple Coca-Cola Freestyle Self Serve Fountain drink machines. Its literally the ultimate fountain drink machine where you can choose from 106 flavors. Needless to say I was thrilled and got up multiple times to refill my beverage to try different flavors of coke products I'll never see in stores, haha!

I love the cleanliness of the theater. Amazing sound and the IMAX is the best one around. You can check in with a person or you can use the credit card check in (no line!). Tickets can also be purchased online. Love the drink dispensers. Shopping can be done close by, before or after your movie. Great place to take your family.

Overall, this movie theater is wonderful. It would be my first choice if it wasn't so DANG far from my house! Here's what I like about the AMC at Firewheel:
-Immaculate bathrooms
-IMAX!
-Doesn't feel crowded due to the well planned layout
-Comfy stadium seating with arm rests that move out of the way for better movie snuggling
-LOUD!
-Excellent selection of movie snacks
-Lots of folks work the concession line, so there isn't much of a wait
My complaints have to do with the multiple idiots seated various rows in front of me who could not stop fondling their phones during the film. Every time your BRIGHT phone screen pops up for you to view your text messages during the movie, it disrupts the HELL out of the movie going enjoyment for folks behind you. It is a RUDE visual assault to your fellow movie goers who have paid exorbitant ticket prices to view the film! I look forward to the day when movie theaters not only tell morons to keep turn their ringers off, but to also keep their phones OFF or CLOSED during the movie. Basic etiquette! If you are expecting something SOOOOOOO important that you can't refrain from checking your text messages during a move...check your messages outside the theater if the film is rolling. If your addiction to your phone is so severe that you cannot keep from opening it during a movie...stay at home!! End of rant.
