I have been to the AMC Discover Mills 18 theater numerous times, usually to watch advance movie screenings.  Tonight, I took my brother to an advance screening of "Act of Valor" (excellent movie, by the way) and was pleased as usual.

For the screening, which started at 7:30 pm (on time!), my brother and I arrived around 6:30 pm.  If you're attending any type of advance screening, ALWAYS arrive at least an hour before the show to get decent seats.  If you arrive just 30 minutes early (or worse, on time), you will either get crappy seats, not be able to sit with your friend(s), or not get in at all.  For the "Act of Valor" screening, I noticed that they let 20 people in at a time every few minutes, and they actually started letting people in over an hour early.  I appreciated this because we didn't have to stand around for an hour (like some theaters make you do), and there wasn't a huge crowd of people rushing to get seats at one time since they seated us in intervals.

This AMC theater is very clean - and this includes their bathrooms!  I was really impressed by how clean it was - and the fact that they actually had toilet seat covers (unlike many places nowadays that have the toilet seat cover containers but don't stock them)!  Yay for toilet seat covers!!!  =)

I also like the comfy seats in the theater, and the fact that the seats lean back fairly easily.  My brother and I got great seats for being an hour early, and I brought a book with me to pass the time while we waited for the movie to start.

What I don't like about AMC theaters in general is the fact that you have to pay for their rewards membership.  $12 a year is a lot compared to $0 for other theaters, like Regal!  So boo for that.

Overall, AMC Discover Mills 18 gets 4 stars for their cleanliness and comfy seats!  I subtracted one star because of their paid rewards membership.  I'm sure I will be back before long for another advance screening.

I love going to the movies!! Everyone who knows me well knows I'm a lover of the theaters and love to go often. This movie theater is by far is one of the best I've been to.
First of all it is huge! Every time I walk up to the window I feel like I'm walking up to a place where there is a big celebration going on. The cashiers seem to all love what they do and if you haven't gotten your Stubs card as yet, please ask for one it is one of the best movie membership card saving program I've had experience with. And the best part is watching the cashiers excitement as they explain to you what it's all about.

Each theater is so spacious, which means lots of room to spread out be comfortable. The seats are comfy and cozy, which makes for a nice date out with your SO. The sound is great, not too loud, too low, or imbalanced.

There is a lot to choose from when it comes to the menu. One of my favorite beverages is tea (I know, who would have thought that one day we would be ordering tea at the movies) and the one I always go with is the Chi Green tea, really good.

I usually go to the late night shows or weekdays so I never have problems with crowds. Sometimes that's disappointing because I like it when the theater is full but definitely not noisy. The last time we went hubby and I were in the whole theater with one other couple who were just as loud as they wanted to be. So it really doesn't matter if it's crowded or not, you're bound to run into obnoxious people anywhere. I was glad when they got up and left early after stating out loud (like we gave a damn) that the movie was boring to them. SMH!

This is one of the cleanest theaters I have ever been to. It was almost immaculate.  I went during the week and it was not very busy. Apparently, I saw an unpopular film as well because I was the only person in the screening room. I enjoyed nonetheless. They have a frequent movie goer club that I have yet to join. I go to Regals more, but this type of housekeeping has me wanting to visit again. Standard ticket pricing, fresh popcorn, and large, small soda cups. This is a good date spot....during the week if your trying to hide.

This theater is decent but gets VERY crowded since it is in a mall and the only theater for a good amount of miles.

There is always a lot of teenagers up there.

It is always clean and has a friendly staff but the crowds and youngins makes it unappealing.

Two buddies met me over here to see Thor on Friday night.  Wasn't expecting to watch it in 3D, but it was the only one available.

The self service ticket kiosk would not accept my debit card, so I had to order my tickets the old fasion way.  The associate that helped me was extremely helpful and customer service oriented.  So when we entered the theater, my buddy wanted to buy us drinks.  So he takes out a loan to pay for the drinks and they hand me an empty bladder buster sized cup and pointed to a Willy Wonka looking machine.  Why in the world do we have to pay so much to fill up our own drink?  I eventually figured out how to order a cherry coke and it was just as nasty as the Taco Mac's cherry coke.  I don't like these machines.

The theater was clean and I was shocked that there were no problems viewing the movie with the theater or the other movie watchers.

The 3D technology has come a long way since Gremlins in 3D with the paper glasses with the red and blue gel.  I stil got a slight headache from watching the movie in 3D, but it wasn't really bad.

I wouldn't suggest seeing the 3D movies and I would suggest drinking before going into the movie.  Other than that, it was a surprisingly good experience.

A few of us came here last night to watch Thor in 3D. The theater is very large and clean, with a well-stocked consession and enough people working on a Friday night so none of the lines were too long of a wait. Another plus is that this theater allows you to pre-buy tickets online or via your phone (Flickster app) and then pick them up at the automated ticket booth.

My only gripes about this location is that parking is still a bit tough to find on busy nights, and it's definately on the pricier side as far as movie theaters go.

I watched The Hangover Part II here tonight, and halfway through the movie, somebody failed to change the reel.  The scene involved one of the characters, trying to remember what happened the night before...and then the screen went white...then black...and why is this scene taking so long, is this part of the joke?...and then the lights came up and there was advertising.  Um, what?

It took a solid five minutes before the movie got going again.  Someone in the front row had to actually go ask somebody to change the reel.

    Seriously?

I said to my friends, "Well, at least this means they'll give us some compped tickets for next time, right?"

But no--no free tickets, not even an apology.  Just a 14-year-old whose nametag said he was the "supervisor" saying "good night" at the door.  No recognition whatsoever of a significant failure on their part.

I'd been here before, and when you buy tickets they try to sell you on AMC's rewards card.  We were spending $22 on our tickets, and you have to spend $100 to get rewarded.  The cashier said, "So if you got it right now, you'd be like...a third...really like, halfway there already.  Right?"

I am a math teacher.  That sentence caused me physical pain.

Yes, yes--the theater itself is nice enough.  But the staff here, it would seem, are not the brightest bulbs in the box.

Bobby & I went to see Limitless last Saturday after our game of Mini Golf at Pirate's Cove.  After fighting to get a parking spot we headed towards the theater to use my free movie passes.  We got up to the counter and everything was fabulous the smell of popcorn filling my nose we walked back to our theater I was super excited.  We entered the crowded theater pushed our way to practically the only seats available in the front row.  Five minutes later I realize it's really disgustingly hot in the theater.  No one else seemed to mind so I asked my boyfriend who was nearly dead due to heat exhaustion and he agreed.  Ten minutes into the movie we made our exit it was extremely uncomfortable and crowded.  I will be sticking to the nicely air conditioned theater at Mall Of Ga from now on.  Oh & by the way the air worked just fine once we were in the lobby.  Boo!

I am fortunate enough to live near this really nice theatre.  I think that makes all the difference that goes along with the whole experience of going to the movies.  The mall is not old at all so the theatre is fairly new and they have kept it up well.  It is always clean, seats are comfortable and the temperature is always comfortable while you watch a movie.

I'm fan of AMC theaters and just happened to be on this side of town.  It was a little chilly but I had my trusty sweater with me. I saw "Takers", for the second time, here.

Clean. Comfortable seats. Good sound. Not much to review about on movie theaters but I gave this a four because I like the one on Lawrenceville-Suwanee better.
