Review from Evelyn G.
Panorama City, CA
I guess you could say this review is mainly for my experience in this theatre in the mornings/afternoon. The location is great with the mall down the street, restaurants and shops everywhere.
I love this place. This is the movie theatre my boyfriend and I go to the most. My favorite part about this place (and any AMC theatre) is the $6 matinee. I work at night and going to a 10am movie for me is the equivalent of someone going to the movies at 8pm after a days work. It's nice that it's never crowded around this time.
Comfortable seats, clean bathrooms, free parking and nobody has EVER thrown a hissy fit whenever we walk in with our own water bottles. I've been here on a Friday night and the experience is completely different. Long lines for everything (ticket booth and kiosk) parking is a bitch and unless you're at your seat 30+minutes before your movie you will be stuck up front in a shitty seat.
If you're nocturnal like myself and feel anxious around large crows and want to avoid misanthopy, coming here in the AM is he way to go! -

My girlfriend and I went there this past Sunday to see the Avengers. Great movie great choice. We sat in the 3D stadium seating. So glad we did because it was less crowded and very comfy seats. My only grip was, I thought the sound was to loud. But once the movie got going, I got use to it.
Parking is underground and free. There are plenty of restaurants around. Condos on top floors. There are also shopping areas within the area. As for the other regular theaters, I don't know how the seats are there. But I would recommend this place to watch movies. -

Miami, FL
Movie theatre is nice. Not too crowded. Not a lot of parking though.
My gripe? I left my wallet there today... not smart I know. Watched Chimpanzee with a total of 6 people and most were a family with kids and all of them were rows in front of me. When I came back to retrieve it, I not only got attitude from the dude at the front named ORAL, but my $40 were coincidentally missing from it. They told me it wasn't stolen from an usher. Right, like it wasn't someone who worked there... c'mon. A patron would've taken the whole shabang. A worker who knew someone would come back for it most probably had sticky fingers.
Lesson learned.

One of my more favorite AMC theaters. This isnt the best theater i have been to but it is one of the best AMC theaters i have been to. I like this one becasuse its clean and they have IMAX and THX. It gets pretty busy durring the weekend so if you dont want to deal with the massive amounts of peopel then try going to the AMC that is just down the street from this one.

I love this theater. I live in LA and will drive all the way over to Burbank just to go to this theater. I feel like of all the movie theaters I go to, this one is always nicer and cleaner.
Just to be clear, I usually only go here on weekend mornings. There are less people and the matinee movies are $6! You can't beat that. Plus it's central location to the restaurants and the mall and the other establishments, they're all within walking distance.
It does get really busy here after 4p. There is plenty of parking in the area. If you're willing to walk.
I love coming to Burbank! -
Review from Kristin H.
Encino, CA
Mediocre. I understand no other theater will compare to the Arclight, but this will do. It's set in a very trendy area, so there's a little bit of everything in walking distance, especially if one resides in the condo upstairs.
Lively place.
Prices for movies should be lower, but our economy still sucks. -
Review from Vicky C.
My go-to theater. I love that it's huge and offers a big selection of titles. I also love that there are TONS of places to go eat while you wait for your show to start!

Review from Amy P.
Santa Barbara, CA
Ehh! Not the best place for a movie experience.
Parking in the surrounding structures sucks. Lines are often crowded and long.
Theaters here are often messy as in popcorn and trash still pretty visible after they have "cleaned" up prior to the next movie showing. I only go here when I am seeing movies with my hubby and in-laws as it is close and convenient. -

My gf took me to see the Hunger Games. It was better than I thought. I gave the movie a 5 star and this movie complex a 3. It's weird, but unlike the other AMC we've been to, the seats were not as comfortable.
What is great is all the fun stores next to it. A pho restaurant, chipotle, pinkberry, ben and jerry's. Which one did we go after the movie? You can guess if you want. -
Review from Cheryl B.
I'm admittedly an Arclight snob, but sometimes it's fun to go to the AMC/Regals of the world.
We went to the IMAX for a showing of The Hunger Games. I've been here a few times for other screenings and it was also OK. I really wished the IMAX had reserved seating. Lots of confusion for people trying to find seats with friends.
The sound was OK. It was clear and the bass was not overbearing.
Highly recommend buying tickets before or at the kiosks. Unless you like horrendous lines.
I also recommend coming at least an hour before during busy times JUST to find parking. I nearly had a breakdown trying to find a spot. It's as if they built all these places, but didn't know how many people would come and therefore forgot to make parking structures that not only fit everyone, but make sense. If Santa Monica can get their crap together, Burbank can, too.
All in all, am OK place. Burbank has a lot of places to go to around this theater, so it makes for a good time. -

Burbank, CA
I only go here because it is convenient. It's close to home and they have every single movie playing...
But the lines for the tickets are long. The lines for the movies are long. The bathroom lines are long. Overall, it's really crowded.
Oh, & parking is annoying...
but the theaters are big & the screens are big. So, it's okay.Listed in: Burbank Must

Burbank, CA
Large scale cineplex, lots of screens which means plenty of first run films and loads of convient show times.
Nice snack bar w generally competent and friendly staff, but you get the occasional stoner.
The screens are perfect size and well maintained and the sound is very engrossing and the enhanced theatre experience is great (only 1 theatre as of now)
I buy my ticket at an automated kiosk (or online), walk in and watch my movie. The shopping area can get quite crowded at night, but generally well Behaved crowd. -

Big theatres, lots of activities nearby.

Review from Nicole A.
I don't think I've had the pleasure of seeing a movie in a movie theater for a few years now, so when I was offered to go see "The Hunger Games", I was like "hell yeah", even better that the movie theater we went to happened to be located in a nice area of Downtown Burbank in their shopping district I suppose. Anyway, lines weren't long and the have automated machines. They have a fancy escalator that takes you up to the theater or you can use the stairs because you're heading straight to their delicious snack bar. Inside, it's really nice and the theater I sat in was spacious and had plush seats. The sound though is fucking intense, their bass is way too high, the theater was rumbling. Oh, but yeah, I'd come back.

Great place to see a movie. Get your tickets on Fandango. You can pick them up from one of the four kiosks next to the ticket booths. Not sure I like the pre-made popcorn idea though.

I like most AMC theaters because I have many around my area so I'm use to the experience. This was my first time visiting this particular location and I had a great time...the company I was with probably had a lot to do with that but I'll give some credit to AMC as well :)
It's located near a mall and in the center of restaurant and shops, makes for the perfect night of dining and watching a movie. The box office is downstairs then you take the escalator up to the theaters. The inside was clean and organized. There are only 16 theaters, which is pretty small compared to other AMC's but they play all the new released films. Not many independent films, but most AMC's stick with currents selections.
Tickets are $12.50, take away $1 if you're a child or senior, however, Costco as well as other places/restaurants, sell them for $7-$8. I miss the AMC Movie Watchers program, the Stubs programs sucks. Make sure you use your reward money within 90 days because it expires...hate that!Listed in: ...and ACTION!

Review from Julie Z.
It's a pretty theatre located in Burbank's swanky outdoor mall. It was relatively fast to purchase our tickets. There's an escalator that takes us upstairs to the theatre. Lots of movie times available and it's good that the theatre is close to all these nice restaurants, and shops! Anyways, as an out of towner, good place, but I still don't like downtown Burbank. Super hard to find parking at times and too many one way streets. Finding a freeway is hard too.

West Hollywood, CA
Went to see Avengers 3D on Saturday 5/12 afternoon, went into the parking entrance on Magnolia Ave, went down and down and got darker and darker, only to find out the structure was completely full, and the "Full" sign at the entrance was not on. Ended up having to go completely around to the other side and tried to find parking in the other structure there. Not only is the parking garage cramped, crowded and extremely tight for bigger vehicles to navigate, they have these iron gated fences dividing each level that is reserved for "residents" of the apartments that are part of the complex. Ended up going all the way down to P3 LOWER level to find an open space, only to find out all THREE elevators that service the structure DID NOT WORK! This is incredible! Not only got fed up and left with out seeing the movie, but was forced to wait for exiting traffic for nearly 30 minutes just to get out on the street. I will never go back to any of the 3 AMC theaters in Downtown Burbank area ever again.

Don't fill out any of the "contests" in the lobby, you'll get harassed by time share companies. I called the theater to complain, and a manager told me those companies have permission to run phoney contests to get your contact information. So much for looking out for their customers...
Also, I've seen dozens of movies here and there's always someone in the audience talking or texting on the phone.
What kind of idiots run this place? -
Review from Jorge G.
Sylmar, CA
This location has come a long way since I was a kid.
This is a great theatre to go to. As Krystle R. mentioned, this location has 16 screens so there is always something about to play. Even if you do end up missing a show time, there are 2 other AMC's within walking distance. They aren't as nice as this location, but it is still a pretty great convenience.
I recommend getting the stubs card if you go to theaters often. Free upgrade on popcorn/sodas and they give you $10 back for every $100 you spend. Sounds like a small return, but considering how much movie tickets are, you might as well.
The location is great because it is surrounded by restaurants and bars so if you get out of a movie and craving a beer or some food you have plenty of options.
My one gripe is that even though they show IMAX movies, they aren't "Official Locations". What the hell am I talking about you say? Well, remember when there was supposed to be a sneak preview to the Dark Knight Rises if you went to watch Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol? A sneak preview ONLY available at IMAX screenings of the movie? Yeah this IMAX location is not one of those locations that showed the preview. According to the staff the only "Official IMAX" location is the one in Studio City. Would it have been nice to know ahead of time? Sure. Should they have told people purchasing tickets that their specific showing of MI:GP in IMAX will NOT be showing the sneak preview? Maybe, but that's all in the past now.
Anyway, great location, great theatre, not so great parking sometimes. -

This is one of my favorite movie theaters in LA! It is an IMAX theather so the screens are huge with great sound quality. The theater tends to get a little crowded on the weekends but you can purchase tickets out of their e-ticket machines to avoid the lines. I would definitely recommend this theater to other ultimate movie lovers such as myself.

Review from Krystle R.
San Fernando Valley, CA
I love that there are 16 theaters because it means that the latest releases will be playing more often but I do not like that they don't play a lot of the independent films.
I suppose it isn't that bad since it gives me the opportunity to check out other theaters, but since those theaters aren't AMC's- I can't use my Stubs card! :"(
If you're on a budget, then come check out a show before 12 pm any day of the week for $6 a person. This price is valid only for regular movies though- no 3-D or IMAX- just regular ol' types of movies. If you want to do a 3-D film, then you have to pay the difference which is like 3 or 4 bucks. If you want more information on prices and specials, do this:
go to: http://www.amctheatres..., click on "Find a Theatre", Insert zip code in search bar, click on theater of your choice, then click on the tab that says "ticket pricing & policy".
I'm surprised not a lot of people know about the AM cinema deal. I like to get all my errands done in the morning when everyone is at work and I don't have to deal with traffic or crowds, so I usually do this am cinema deal for movies. It's also great when if you have a big family like I do and want to check out the latest action packed movie. -

Nice theater but can get crowded especially on weekends with new movie releases. Parking structure next to the theater always full on weekends so you have to go park at the mall.

Its a movie theater. Price is just about the same as any other place, but I can tell you this...the seats are comfortable compared to other movie theaters that I have been to. =)

lots of parking. like the fact you can either buy tickets online or at a kiosk. clean bathrooms, huge chairs to sit in. a plus, the arm chairs go up/ will be back again

It's about time I review the crap out of this particular movie theatre. I've basically been coming here since my HS days. I love that the arm rest can be moved up so you can cuddle next to your lover. Yes, I like doing that because if you didn't know, it gets cold in there. The popcorn gets me dizzy o_0. The drinks are expensive. As if I'm buying a mixed drink. But I guess it's cool if you're on a date because (cough, cough), you most likely won't pay for it anyway:) The rooms are a decent size. I think there is one in particular which is HUGE for new releases. Bathrooms arw endless for us peeing animals. And the place is kept nice and tidy.
2 thumbs up! -

Going to theaters now a days are so much funner than when I was little. As I got older I appreciate time more and I love it when I do get extra time to watch a cool movie.
Just the other day I went to AMC Burbank to watch Freight night, it was a special event/preview and it was free! Nice that everything went to smoothly and I loved how quickly we got in to watch this movie!
Something about how on top of it they are, that I am happy I went. Just a little bit confused about the parking...I think they might have another parking lot but I am not sure. I parked closed to Fudruckers but the parking lot was really super full!
The seats are pretty comfortable but a pretty typical AMC! Have fun ladies and gents, spend some time watching a movie :)Listed in: Glendale/Burbank Favorite's

As others have said -- nice clean theaters... but is it me, or do you too take in about 50 different smells walking into this place? Maybe on the night I went they had just burned the pizza. And popcorn. And lit matches. And everyone had B.O... lol.
No but really... went here to see Horrible Bosses with the family last Friday and had a blast. Since the film has been out for a while now, obviously we didn't get to sit in one of the larger theaters, but like I said -- still clean, nice, and the people here weren't shining laser pointers on the screen, texting, holding their own coversations, and/or having sex during the movie, so that's always a plus.
Fun little theater for when I'm in Burbank... prices are commensurate with every other theater -- outrageous -- but whose complaining? o__O -

I've been here several times with my husband but I am giving this place 4 stars because last night we got A+ customer service.
I am a fan of hot popcorn at the theater. So as we stood in line at the concession stand I could tell they weren't planning on making any fresh popcorn and just bagged what was left. Not waiting to complain I took the popcorn and it was cold and gross. So I politely asked one of the guys behind the counter and he said the best line, "Well, we weren't planning on making new popcorn but give us 5 minutes and I'll make fresh popcorn for you and you can come back and get as many refills as you want!"
Not only did they make fresh popcorn but he was going to refill my medium sized bag!!! Great service!
In general the theater is clean, usually full so for popular movies come early. Their is a parking structure for parking and well it's a movie theater what more can I say!
Enjoy your night out!! :) -

Large scale cineplex, lots of screens which means plenty of first run films and loads of convient show times.
Nice snack bar, reminiscent of Muvico's in thousand Oaks.
Chicken strips, fries, mozzarella sticks, pizza, hot dogs, etc. Nice.
The screens are a good size and the sound is usually crisp and clean.
I don't like the AMC seats in general, they are too high and too rigid, but aside from that, I like their screening rooms.
I don't care about customer service at a theater, I just want to buy my ticket at an automated kiosk (or online), walk in and watch my movie. This place meets all my needs in that sense. I come here anytime I visit Buffalo Wild Wings next door for UFC fights. This place is next door and convenient. -

This place has changed SO much over the years..been coming to these theaters for 15yrs and it's always the first place I think of when I want to go to the movies.

Theaters are actually really nice inside considering how long it has been around. Love that they carry so many food options now. Popcorn is also yummy. Bathroom is freaking HUGE and clean.

DO NOT go to this theater. In the first half hour of the movie, my boyfriend and I spotted A RAT. After my boyfriend notified staff, they walked into the theater with a flashlight, looked for 2 minutes and then left the theater. There is better customer service at a hot dog stand than in this theater.

Saw Crazy Stupid Love at the 10:30 pm show with my pal. I was scared to see the chick flick, but it turned out to be pretty hilarious & dramatic!
This is a huge theatre, great parking, and the popcorn was yummy, with butter of course.
Wasn't too crowded too, which I enjoy, even though it was a huge theatre!
Loved Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.....they made the film bearable to watch and fun! -

I have the worst luck when it comes to sitting next to (or them sitting next to me) TALKERS! I always have to ask them to stop. Just shut the hell up for 2 hours cause I can hear you. And I will shush you.
Okay, on to the review...da da da daaaa
This Burbank center has become too crowded and dirty. On weekends the parking structure is filled. I like to park a block over at the mall and walk the short distance.
I don't have anything bad to say about the theatre itself. It would just be more enjoyable without the annoying people that seem to be attracted to it. It used to be nicer here. It's just too over run now.
They have a small arcade, but don't play that Stacker game. I used to, then learned these Stacker games are totally rigged. Lame.
Note to self: don't Yelp review when in such a grumpy mood. -
Review from Bryan Y.
San Gabriel, CA
I've been to this AMC twice and enjoyed both experiences.
I came last year when Black Swan first came out and none of my local theaters had it yet since it was still in limited release. So I came here and was impressed with how large the screen was. The whole theater seems very large and comfortable.
Tonight, I got to see a free preview screening of Footloose (thank you, Paramount). This was my first free screening at this theater, so I didn't know where to go. But the employees guided me on where to go and which line to stand in. My only complaint is that the line snaked through this tiny, cramped hallway and I felt kind of claustrophobic. But the wait wasn't too long and there was plenty of room in the theater they led us in. I saw a few entertainment reporters/film critics. I think I sat behind Leonard Maltin.
The concession stand workers were okay. Not very friendly and they just kind of gave me blank stares. Not very responsive or engaging, but what can you expect from teens earning minimum wage.
This theater does a lot of free preview/test screenings and focus groups. Just look for the people outside with clipboards. They never seem to approach me though, and I have to find about free screenings myself. Maybe I'm not in their target demographic or something.
It's cool that this whole area has free parking, but good luck trying to find a space. The lots are tiny and confusing. Definitely plan ahead if you plan to come during a busy Friday or Saturday night.
The atmosphere outside is great. Very lively with all the shops/restaurants. I really like downtown Burbank!
If the parking situation was easier and I didn't live so far, this would be my AMC of choice. -

We like this theatre. We get costco tickets and it's pretty cheap and with the stubbs card you can even afford a soda. Lots of screens and lots of movies/showtimes and you in the middle of a bunch of places to eat which makes it an ideal place to go for dinner and a movie.

Burbank, CA
I've been there for a couple blockbuster midnight screenings and I think they've done a great job getting people inside the theaters early (around 9:00 PM) without making them wait outside in the cold.
