Ambleside helped to design and spec a custom dedicated media room with a 10.5' 2:35 curved microperf screen in my home, as well as some lightweight home automation. They advised on room materials and construction, equipment selection, systems integration, and sold me most of the equipment. The only reason I didn't use Ambleside to build the solution is because my project was on the other side of the country (I managed the building myself, and did all the equipment install).
I am fairly knowledgeable about the industry and equipment, so I was really looking for a level of expertise above and beyond the average solution provider. Ambleside is smart, thoughtful, and thorough.
Specialties
Ambleside is the leader on the peninsula at the repair, renovation and updating of multi-room control systems including AMX, Crestron and Lutron. We are the only Peninsula firm to have won multiple national awards, have worked on mansions and estates for over 20 years on the Pensinula and have inventory of all the spare parts and diagnostic tools necessary to ensure operation of complex systems. We can update older systems to the lastest in blu-ray/1080P, bring streaming digital audio into older distributed music systems and replace older touch panels with iPads. In addition, we also install and update simple to operate stand-alone systems that are easy to use. We show up on time, clean-up after ourselves and know how to provide service.

Meet the Manager: Ken O.
Ken has worked in custom audio video practically since the field was started. He was part of Phoenix Systems at the beginning, lead the install team at Praxis for many years and joined Ambleside in 2009. Ken is one of the most experienced high-end AV engineers in the bay area.
