Been going to Ambiente for over a year now and do not know how that last review can be true. The out of state owners haven't been there since last winter. The current owner, Janeth, has been there full time since then. She gives the best hair cut I've ever had - AND is a fabulous aesthetician as well. I would recommend this place.

So I didn't pick a subcategory because there isn't just one that is a good fit! I love this place! And once you start going you are treated like family!
Super cute warm atmosphere. This salon/spa/boutique is located in a old house. Warm colors and decorations. All of the people that work there are wonderful! I see Christine as does a couple of my friends. She is wonderful! She does a great job. Christine is the first person to cut my hair where I was actually stopped on the street and asked who cuts and who does the color. And when I tell them it is the same person they love it! It isn't overly priced either for what you are getting!
My roommate has gone and had the waxing and massage service as well. She loves it! She see's Jessica for the spa treatments mentioned. She says the waxing doesn't hurt at all. And Jessica is awesome to talk to. Christine also cuts her hair and loves her!
*UPDATE* Christine and Jessica are both no longer at this salon. They really are why it got 5 stars.... -

I had read some very positive reviews about this salon so I decided to give it a shot. Honestly, it didn't live up to all the hype. Despite having an appointment, I had to wait an additional 45 minutes as my hairstylist flirted/finished up with her client before me. It then took my stylist nearly four hours to complete partial highlights and a cut and style. That seemed a little excessive to me. I was very impressed and pleased with the color, I thought she did an amazing job but I was very unhappy with the cut. I had exaplined that as part of my hair cut I wanted sideswept bangs that started a little above my eyebrow. What she gave me was nowhere near to that. When I made the comment that I wanted them shorter, she clipped them another 1/4" max. It was aggrivating that I had to essentially keep arguing with her to have my hair cut the way I wanted.
Go there for color, but skip the cut. Their prices seemed a little spendy for the mediocre service you received.
