Now, I'm not a gushy girl. Truth be told, I wanted to elope. But, my romantic fiancé-at-the-time pleaded his case for having a wedding... that it would be amazing to have our families and friends all together for one night... yadda yadda yadda... so, I (reluctantly) conceded.
Fast forward to our wedding day... and I must admit that it was, hands-down, the very best day of my life. I never dreamed I would ever think that. But, it's true. I mean it with everything I am. And, Amber, the goddess of organization and taking-care-of-business that she is, helped to make it exactly that - the very best day of my life.
She had timelines... lists... schedules... contacts... vendor recommendations... follow ups, and more importantly, follow-throughs. Throughout the entire planning process, she guided us, kept us on track, and was a resource when we had any questions.
The execution of the wedding day, itself, seemed absolutely flawless. Everything looked/smelled/tasted/seemed perfect! And, considering myself relatively smart, I realize that there is no way that everything fell into place magically and nothing needed to be fixed/tweaked/saved/aborted - but, Amber made sure that whatever needed to be handled, got taken care of without me knowing or being bothered. I spent my wedding day worry-free and carefree... and it's all due to Amber's expertise! -

I was initially skeptical about getting a first-rate wedding planner, as I organize events for a living, but my lovely wife was absolutely right-on in suggesting it, and in finding Amber and her lovely team. We interviewed many people, including some of the top names in LA (for whatever that's worth), but really connected with Amber; she is a great listener and helped us really expand our ideas. She was a tremendous resource throughout the whole planning and a really hard worker in the execution (and we did a crazy DIY wedding in a non-standard venue in a city she'd never worked in, so it wasn't like she was just checking off boxes andgoing through the motions), and our wedding went off without a hitch and as importantly without grinding us down. She and her husband have since become our friends. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

We found Amber by checking out wedding blogs and seeing her name attached to the prettiest, most interesting, most romantic weddings. Then we read reviews and testimonials about her, which all talk about how wonderful she is. In person we found her to be not only professional, but also warm, smart and calm. She gave us advice we never would have thought of, saved us money every step of the way (in part by referring some of the vendors on this list), and kept her cool through whatever we threw at her.
If we had one piece of advice for future brides and grooms it would be to factor Amber into the cost of the wedding before budgeting for anything else. It was truly the best money we spent. She is the difference between having a stressful wedding and having an enjoyable wedding. It doesn't matter if you're organized, (Ben and I are both the most organized people we know), it doesn't matter if you want a low key wedding (she can handle both extremes of the spectrum and everything in between), it doesn't matter if you weren't planning on hiring a wedding coordinator (we weren't), she is the number one service you will not regret spending money on.
No amount of online research compares to her experience, and the details she thought of either helped us avert disaster or added something to the wedding that made it so special and so us. We are still in awe of her multitasking and organizational abilities. More than anything, though, she was our safety net. Every wedding planning couple has a moment (or moments) of panic that makes them think they're not going to be able to stay on top of all of the moving parts. Knowing that Amber was there enabled us to feel confident that it was all going to work out, which let us focus on having the best day of our lives.

Amber made our wedding day completely flawless and amazing. She is the most organized and professional wedding planner with a fun personality. She is serious and authoritative when she needs to be but she also knows how to lighten the mood and help take care of issues whenever they came up.
Throughout the wedding planning process she offered us thoughtful advice. Her years of experience helped us so much as we planned our wedding from 3,000 miles away. Having Amber as our wedding coordinator made the entire wedding planning experience better and allowed us to enjoy every moment of our wedding that much more. She was also completely accommodating to our taste and needs- when we told her we wanted a traditional Jewish wedding with a modern twist, it was no problem to make our vision a reality.
I could not recommend a more experienced, professional, and talented wedding coordinator to anyone in Los Angeles. I will be recommending Amber to every single friend of mine who gets engaged in California and I am confident she can make anyone's big day perfect! -

Supposedly many girls grow up dreaming of their wedding day, planning it carefully in their head, imagining all the details, blah, blah, blah YAWN. I did not do this. But after I got engaged, what I DID do, as I am A Certified Crazy, is worry. Worry a lot. Worry about anything. Worry about everything.
What if everyone gets food poisoning at our reception!
What if The Big One hits and guests are trapped under falling light fixtures, smothered under trays of hors d'oeuvres, or stabbed with their own boutonnieres!
WTF is a Chivari? A "first look"? A GOBO?
What if I forget something! Like ordering flowers! Or how much to tip people! Or my groom's name during the vows!
What if there's a flood? Fire? WHAT IF THEY RUN OUT OF WHISKEY AT THE BAR?????!!!!
What if the back of my dress gets tucked into my stockings and I walk down the aisle like that lady I saw at a Bar Mitzvah when I was 12 who came back from the restroom with her skirt fully tucked into her tan pantyhose and we all laughed at her weird giant flowered grandma underwear and THANK GOD for her that YouTube did not exist back then!
So... look, the point is: I WORRIED. It's what I do. I do it really, really well. I had no panic about my marriage. I had a lot about my wedding. And Amber was a godsend, like a Xanax in human form. And no prescription needed! She was forceful and drill-sergeant-y when she needed to be (wrangling vendors, creating amazingly detailed timelines, etc), and sweet and helpful the rest of the time. She referred us to some great people, walked us through all the details we would have otherwise completely missed, and simply gave consistently great advice every step of the way.
If you're debating whether or not to get a wedding coordinator, I am here to end your debate. GET ONE, DUMMY. It was some of the best money we spent on the entire wedding, and Amber's services were worth every penny. (Also, sorry I just called you Dummy. But come on. You kind of deserved it.)
Our wedding went off without a hitch, and having Amber and her team there meant we actually got to ENJOY ourselves. No worrying. Just an amazing party and a beautiful day. If for some reason I ever had to plan an entire wedding again (and please God... no), Amber would be my first call. -

Amber deserves WAY more than 5 stars, but alas that is all that Yelp allows.
I had the honor to attend a friend's wedding 2 years ago @ Rancho del Cielo in Malibu, and it was just amazing. When I got engaged a year later, I asked my friend if she was ok with me getting married there since my (now) husband and I loved it so much and of course hiring her coordinator Amber of Amber Events.
Fast forward to 9/9/11 (our rehearsal day), Amber was fabulous at answering all the questions our wedding party had, especially the moms. She also directed everyone with such finesse and ease. Even our rehearsal felt magical.
The morning of our wedding day 9/10/11... it was overcast and there were threats of 2 big rain showers. While my bridesmaids and I were sipping champagne and getting our hair done in the morning, Amber was running around outside in the rain trying to make sure everything was in place. She came into the dressing area asked how I was, not to worry about the rain because she had tents on back up if we needed it. I did not worry for one second that day because I had Amber in my corner.
The whole week prior to our wedding the temperatures were in the 80-90s, but the day of the wedding the heat wave disappeared and we had lows in the 60's. But Amber had heat lamps basically in her back pocket, so our guests were danced the night away until sound ordinances shut us down!
I hear a lot of my married friends say, "oh i wish i did this at the wedding", or if "if i were to do it all again I'd have xyz". Because I had Amber, my wedding was absolutely perfect and instead of regrets, I have tons of amazing memories.
Tips:
#1 do not cut corners in your wedding budget by not hiring a coordinator
(I can't speak for other coordinators, but Amber helped us so much with cost saving tips, techniques, and vendors that the savings covered more than her fees. We had a super classy event without the outrageous pricetag it warranted)
#2 Hire Amber and her team so you can really enjoy your day!! (I can't imagine planning a wedding without Amber Events, just don't do it without her) -

Looking back at how special our wedding was to us and how it all came together fabulously, i have to give a huge shout out to Amber G of Amber Events. Planing your wedding can be a daunting task, stressful, chaotic, filled with drama, and sometimes disappointing and this is where Amber stepped in and saved us.
Hiring Amber was one of the best decisions we made. Amber understood our vision and already had ideas of how to achieve them even before we officially hired her. You really cant say that about every vendor or wedding coordinator out there. For some vendors its just a contract but for Amber its creating a bond and we are grateful for that.

We opted for the Wedding Director package since we already had booked some of the vendors. We needed someone to put all of our ideas together and make them work cohesively. Amber was all of that and a bag of chips. She had fantastic ideas, advice, took care of all of our vendors including the problematic ones, got us organized, gave us monthly tasks to complete, wedding day outline, rehearsal management, and the list goes on and on. Amber was very instrumental with our art deco theme ideas designing our invitation card, save the date cards, and using old luggage as part of our theme.
Our wedding went off without a hitch. There were no problems with any of the vendors and they all knew what they had to do and at what time. All thanks to Amber and her amazing managerial skills and timeline mastery. We got what we wanted, to spend our wedding day with friends and family that we love stress free and most importantly smiling throughout the night celebrating our special day.

Words cannot express how amazing my wedding planning and day was, and it all comes down to the help of Amber from Amber Events. What an exquisite woman who is just seamless at her job. There was nothing left unattended to and people have said to me that I was the camlest bride they have ever seen. My response, it was because Amber was the most attentive planner ever!
We hired Amber about 6 months before our big day, and from that day I knew that my wedding would be in amazing hands. My mom and I were planning the majority of the wedding and knew that we needed someone to make sure everything went smoothly. Thats where Amber came in. Also I should mention that my husband was absolutely in love with Amber and still is. He still talks about her and her team to this day about how amazing they were!
Like I said before, she is the most organized person that I have ever met. I thought I was organized, she puts me to shame! Each client has their own binder filled with contracts, contacts and personal notes, who else does that!?
We had many meetings with Amber, and each one she was punctual and might I say early! I felt seriously at ease with her presence and knew that my mom would be able to relax with her in charge.
The day before the wedding we had our rehearsal, and let me tell you how prompt and fabulous she was. Amber was early as usual and not only putting our families at ease, but to help us out she even had POCKET SIZED printouts for the next days scheduled events. It is touches like that which make Amber just so detailed to her job and just simply amazing.
The day of the wedding was absolutely seamless. Amber was there along with her amazing assistant Krista who was there for everything my mom, sister and I needed. I felt like a true princess but in the company of friends. I am not a needy person but if we needed something they were there for it!
The actual ceremony went off without a hitch and of course the party was just spectacular. I even had a few reminders from her to eat or drink- MUCH APPRECIATED!
When we retreated to our room that evening at the hotel, Amber had decorated our room with the most gorgeous flowers from the party and made my husband and I feel so special. It is thoughts and touches like this that make Amber just so special.

Hiring Amber as our wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. I knew I wouldn't have a lot of time to spend on wedding planning and hiring Amber meant I didn't have to. She kept us organized, recommended great vendors, and thought of all the details that I wouldn't have known to even think about. Her team kept everything running smoothly on the day of the wedding and we had a complicated day with 2 ceremonies at different locations across Los Angeles. Looking back at our wedding I have no idea how we would have been able to do it without Amber.

My partner (now husband) and I interviewed three wedding coordinators. From the minute we met Amber, we knew she was the right one for us. She was down to earth, direct, warm, and clearly very knowledgeable about her field. She also seemed to "get" us right from the start. From the point forward (we hired her about four months before our wedding date), Amber gave us extremely clear direction and support as we worked out the plan for our wedding. She told us what we needed to do, and by what date. She set up meetings with outstanding vendors (caterers, florists, photographers, etc). She was always clear about areas where she was willing to be flexible (for example, she let us choose a photographer whom she had never worked with before), and where she really preferred that we work with one of her "people" (the caterer). (Fortunately, we fell in love with Amber's preferred caterer -- the incredible Auntie Em's of Eagle Rock -- and so it was no stress for us to go with them.) As the day drew closer and closer, we always felt like the whole process was in good hands. And on the day of our wedding, we both were able to completely let go of every possible concern, and enjoy our day to the very fullest. We knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that Amber had it under control. The last thing I'll mention is that Amber's rate was also, by far, the most reasonable of the three coordinators we interviewed. If you are planning a wedding, you owe it to yourself to meet with Amber. She is an extraordinary professional, a very fun and loving person, and she really cares deeply about her clients.

Amber and her staff were AMAZING, organized and really really helpful, empathetic, professional and with only a few weeks notice. Amber took care of so many details. If you are looking for a way to make sure a wedding goes off without a hitch we can't think of a better person.
