"angel saved my life. I was stressing so much until i went. I felt at peace. i would recommend this place to anyone."
I concur with "Killing Me Softly...". Amber is indeed an incredible find. She is awesome. Before last September I had to take Claritin, Sudafed and Advil just to make through the day due to severe allergies. And, I took meds for ADHD. I decided I wanted out of the my pharmaceutical addiction. I cut all my meds out except for the occasional Advil or Tylenol. I started treating with Amber for my allergies and ADHD. She prescribed acupuncture and chines herbs (they taste awful, but they work!). Now, it is nine months later and I am feel great. No need for any meds. Amber is an angel and an amazing generous person!!
Amber is an incredible find. Honestly, I cannot fault her!
She's got an incredible bedside-manner - she's absolutely kind, caring, generous, thoughtful and patience.
More than that, she'll do what she can to be flexible to your scheduling needs, and often works late into the night with patients. She's the kind of person you actually want to invite along to a dinner party, to share with your friends.
I went to Amber for an assortment of issues: stress, sleeplessness, allergies, backpain. She helped me prioritise and gave me supplements to assist in the process. In terms of "curing" me - I think it's a long process if you truly want to rewire your mind and body, and Amber and I will work on this together in time. It was a painless, and relaxing experience - one I found I missed when I took a short break. It was time for ME, and Amber was super at teaching me each step of the way.
One of Amber's specialties is weight-loss and she definitely knows what she's doing!! It's a slow and even process but produces amazing results. It generates a lot of energy in the body that continues long after the acupuncture needles have been removed.
She's also a master herbalist and on her way to becoming a knowledgeable homeopath!
Amber has a sweet and gentle approach to her work but don't let that fool you. She is still a lion at what she does!

You know how people who are trying to get you to try acupuncture will say, "Oh, acupuncture doesn't *really* hurt!"
Well, if you've never had acupuncture before, you should know that those people lie. Because it does.
And one thing (among many) that's cool about Amber is that she's honest about that. While acupuncture is not new to me, I can vouch for the fact that it does indeed sometimes hurt. But it's worth it.
So, this is not my usual state, but I have been feeling fraught with worry--peppered with some anger and grief. Eh...we all go through it sometimes, and anyone who says they never do is lying.
Knowing that I need be doing some things to make myself feel better, I have been making an extra effort to take care of myself by eating better, exercising and doing yoga more often, surrounding my self with people that care about me...and resorting to drugs and alcohol.
Just kidding. That's not my style. I just wanted to get your attention.
Since I haven't been getting the best sleep, and was feeling just sluggish and stiff, I decided that I needed a boost and know that acupuncture can do that, so I went to go see Amber.
She had me fill out a questionnaire, looked at my tongue and checked my pulses to make a diagnosis then went to work needling me.
Before she was done putting in all the needles, I felt a wave of what I can only describe as energized relaxation and calm wash over me. As is common practice, she put some heat & music on, gave me some "alone time" and then returned in about 20 minutes to remove the needles and sent me on my way. I felt much better...just more balanced.
A true professional who loves what she's doing, and is knowledgable about it. And she's gorgeous too. Like in a really glowing, healthy way. To top it all off, she also volunteers with me at Charlotte Maxwell, a Complementary Clinic for low-income women with cancer, so you know this is her passion and she's not just about the money.

Amber is a wonderful acupuncturist! (I've seen a few and am able to compare.) While I've been lucky and they've all been fine acupuncturists, I must say, Amber Bryan stands out among the rest. She is fantastic. She is gentle, yet thorough, thoughtful and proficient. If the 168 hours in a week were rocks on the path of life the hour spent with Amber is a diamond.
She sits you down and asks you questions: not just about your health but also about you: How are you? How was your day? What's going on in your life? Is there any stress? What are you eating? How is your sleep? etc... narrowing down to diagnose and treat you better. She really listens and it's easy talking with her. From this Amber finds the imbalances in your body and formulates a holistic treatment. She is knowledgeable in nutrition and Traditional Chinese Medicine. (I totally trust her.) She will make recommendations in diet and suggest various herbal supplements if needed. All of her recommendations to me have been good -- they've had a beneficial impact -- and I'm glad she's pointed them out to me.
The needles are needles. They are very thin and look like stiff hairs maybe about the diameter of a cat whisker. Sometimes you feel them but mostly it's just a little pinch. After inserting them she twists them a little. Sometimes that'll feel a little weird but still not bad. I felt something once that could be considered painful but it was painful like bumping your funny bone or foot falling asleep.
That particular experience, when I felt some pain, was also interesting because I remember asking Amber before the treatment if there is an anger spot in acupuncture. For the background, I had just gotten out of a relationship and was still pretty mad about the situation. She said there wasn't an anger spot but there was a spot that dealt with processing heavy emotions. During the treatment she put a needle in the top of my foot and I nearly jumped off the table. I asked her, "what spot was that?" She said it was the equivalent of the anger spot: liver 3. Now, I can't say that "fixed" the problem, but it definitely drew my attention there and got the chi moving. Ultimately, the anger issue was still mine to deal with but the needle helped release some pressure -- I guess that's how acupuncture works. :)
If you're new to acupuncture or looking for a new acupuncturist go see Amber. I can't recommend her enough. Her deep tissue massage is very good too.
Amber is passionate about her work -she listens and undertands your needs, and can do wonders with her vast knowledge of the human body!
she specializes in wait loss, skin care, and can help you off most addications...get one of her deep tissue massage or acupuncture, you will leave feeling rejuvenated.

I have had to see Amber for a few reasons over the last year and a half. What I like about her style, especially since I have no affinity for needles, is that she is sympathetic and gentle. She takes inherent care in her patient's well-being and has a keen specificity in getting results. She also knows her way around the Chinese herb cabinets which has helped me out with some lower back pain in the past, and more recently with high blood pressure.
She is thorough in her approach to understanding problems, a great relief from most doctor visits I've had. She looks for the context of your condition, the little intakes of life that can exacerbate it, and she listens thoughtfully before proceeding with a treatment.
Her distinctive approach to acupuncture, comprehension of Chinese herbs, and intuitive respect for her patient's ailments makes her a boon to managing personal health issues and stemming the stressful ruts a busy life can induce.
Amber has all the hallmarks of a true healer: compassion, patience, knowledge, grace and intuition. I highly recommend her as solid and trustworthy professional.
