woah i'm surprised!  only 9 reviews so far?
this is THE ultimate children's playground!!
well i'm a child at heart, and i came here to buy a gift for my little niece, BUT while i was there i just had to explore.  they had steiff bears in a glass cabinet!!  like, three of them from who knows when!!
not a huge selection of steiff, but there is only one other toy store that isn't an all steiff dealer which carries steiff collectibles, and that would be the wooden horse toy store in los gatos.

ambassador toys is conveniently located close to kara's cupcakes, on the other side of paper-source stationery store and sur la table, and just a few doors away from peet's coffee and tea.  this toy store carries a wide variety of golden books, some are hard to find reprints so it's worth going through their book stash.  plenty of coloring books and imaginary role play toys for the children in your life.  dozens and dozens of plush toys, probably thousands.  they have those cute little critter toys and other dolls, such as polly pocket, collectible barbies, baby dolls with creepy sleepy eyes...worth checkin out!

If I had kids of my own, this store would definitely be the place to spoil them. Big kids, little kids, and adults can spend hours at Ambassador Toys looking at all they have to offer.

I went to Town and Country Village today to get some dessert a few stores down, but ended up taking a stroll around the plaza too. Our second stop was Ambassador Toys.

I've never seen this many toy sets, dress-up clothing, plush dolls and animals, cars and trucks, tea sets, educational toys, baby toys, and games and puzzles all in one place. If you need toys for special occasions, don't worry about getting the same as other people because they carry lots of unique items. They carry a few mainstream toys and puzzles too.

As my wife was asking a sales associate what she would recommend for a 4 year old girl, I slipped away into another room. I was intrigued by a glowing side room. There were glow-n-the-dark toys lit by a black light. There were also plastic airplanes with sound effects, scientific sets and toys, and puzzles in this amazing room. I felt like I was inside a planetarium gift shop. Yipee!

Now I know where to shop if I need some unique and educational toys for gifts. If you're around the area and you need something in a hurry, I can't see why you won't find something that appeals to you. I saw too many toys I can spoil my own kids with in the future.

This store sure does hold a bundle of goodies considering its size.  They have a neat science nook in the back that is lit with black lights; it gives it that "sciencey" feel, ya know?  Actually, it makes me want to play lazer tag.

In the store, you'll find a variety of toys that are likely to entertain infants all the way up to...me?  And I'm 24!  I suppose I'm not your average 24 year old, but there's enough of a selection here to intrigue any inquiring mind.  I'll definitely be back to leisurely peruse, score a sweet gift, or just to indulge (only when I've earned it, of course).

Great little toy store.  Despite the size, this place is packed to the gills with unique and interesting stuff.  They have mainstream toys too (board games, Thomas sets, stuffed animals), but they have a lot of really fabulous puppets, glow-in-the-dark stuff and cool cars you just can't find in some of the bigger shops.

I have always found the quirky staff helpful.  In fact, when I was in the store today, one of the staff members called out to each customer as they walked around, asking if they needed help.

Prices are expensive, but worth it.  Parking in the "improved" Town & Country stinks, but if you don't mind walking, you can park in their North lot, which a lot of folks don't even know exists.

This is a very small but extremely packed toy store in the Town & Country shopping center.

This toy store has a lot of great little stuff that you generally don't find in bigger/department toy stores.

If you take small children with you be careful because it won't take much to knock stuff off racks or out of bins.

This is a cozy store, the sort of place I'd like to visit if I know it's not packed with kids running around. So I suggest to people who don't like cozy spaces to come during an off-peak time.  They have great high-quality toys and educational games here for children of all ages.  I think most kids will dig this place.

I like this store for what it has. The toys that you will find are not the ordinary brands found at Target or Toys R Us.  The books are awesome, some are even in French, Spanish and other languages.  The store is small and so its definitely not a place you can let your child run around in.  But it will definitely make your child curious at all the new and unique toys that they probably have not seen in other stores.

My daughter likes playing with the train set and loves the gum ball machine.  They have a nice variety of toys:  art supplies, kites, dolls, barbies, legos, thomas trains, scientific packs, and all sorts of stuffed animals and more....

This is the perfect store to go if you want to buy a toy but don't know what to get.  Its not the store to go to if your kids knows specifically what he wants (advertised brand name popular plastic junk).  Always unique items, fun games and they wrap for free which is great if you need to stop quickly for a gift.  I got great help here.

Wonderful little toy store!  How wonderful to find this place to purchase all those birthday party gifts for my son's friends.  While this place is small, it  carries lots of toys the big box stores don't have and I feel like my money is well spent on well-made toys that are fun too.  The 5' gumball machine by the door is a fun addition along with the wonderful valentine's we found there as well.  While I usually wouldn't spend $8 on valentine's for my son's school - he loved being able to choose Max (Where the Wild Things Are) cards instead of the typical ones you find at other stores.  I've not only found great birthday presents, but fun creative toys as well - and great puzzles and books too.  We will be back often and regularly!!
