Love tanning @ Arden Amazing Tans. Lots of tanning options and everyting is clean. Employees always nice, friendly, and patient about explaining the specials (although specials change too frequently for my taste). Shirley R.

This place is always very clean. They have great beds for all price ranges. The pricing on the plans isn't completely outrageous like some of the other tanning salons are. The turnover on the employees is crazy, there's always someone new in there. However, there's always at least one person that'll know you by name. The current supervisor, Allie, is very friendly and knows her stuff very well. She's awesome. The others are still learning... But I'm sure they'll get it.

I love the Matrix beds! Expensive habit to use the level 4 beds, but so worth it. There is a lay down and stand up option at this location, so I like to alternate between those two, and then some of the level 3 beds to spice it up every once in a while. The staff here is always super friendly, but be prepared to be asked every time you go in if you are "okay on lotion". They aren't too pushy about it, and I'm guessing they are getting some sort of commission or something? Or they are made to ask each and every person every time they come? Anywho - love this place!

I give this place 3 stars because it truly is A-OK.
I dreaded writing this review on Yelp because it admits I "fake-bake-it". I'm not fake, I promise... I'm just deathly pale! :/ Moving right along...
This place is way better than most other places I have tanned in the Sacramento area. You're never going to find a tanning salon that does not sport orange girls who you may not be able to identify with behind the counter.
I look for a few things:
-Good prices
-Clean salon and beds
-New towels (not raggedy like they have been washed 7 gagillion times)
-No waiting in line to tan
So far, this place has not disappointed me. The prices are a little high and somewhat confusing but I think that's one of the ways the tanning industry preys on us. Hey, I'm the one choosing to expose myself to carcinogens, I suppose I should not complain.
All in all, it's a pretty decent place and I will continue my membership.
FYI: they do not accept credit cards for transactions less than $10. So if you need to buy goggles or a pack of lotion... BRING CASH. -

I absolutely love this place!
Last year I signed up with California Sun Centers and that place is lame! mostly because you spend about 20-30 min waiting for a bed during the hours of 3-6pm.
So boy am I happy at Amazing Tans where I can walk right in and flash 'em my ID and goggles and I'm off to tan! The staff was also very informative on the prices and suggested the best tanning plan for me. Plus they are always offering 20-50% off deals with the lotions and moisturizers. Who wouldn't love that? I am also paying about $5 less their and when i want to cancel after my 6 months I don't have to send a cancellation via certified mail like i did last year with California Sun Center.
Oh and did I mention that they have Cd players so you can play YOUR OWN MUSIC! I love that considering the crap I had to listen to at CSS.
All in all this really has been a great place for me to go relax and get all faked and baked! =) -

Awesome staff! Clean, friendly environment AND GREAT COUPONS!!!! I got a Mystic tan for only $14 bucks and it turned out great with some awesome advice from the girl working!

Ok, so I figured it was only fair to write another update since this experience was a little different than the couple of times before.
So I walked into the salon and was "sort of" greeted, I say this because the girl was monotone and didn't seem too happy, there were two girls working there tonight and the other one didn't seem very inviting either...once I was acknowledged they just stood there and stared at me kind of like "And....??, what do you want me to do?" I got the slight impression that I was looked up and down and then stared at blankly.
I told them how many minutes I wanted to bake at and said thank you and was on my way to a golden bliss :) They weren't really rude, just not warm and friendly...it does really depend on who is working and their moods...whatever, after tanning I'm all relaxed so they can't affect me! ::Muahahaa:: (Evil villan laugh;)
Only complaint room # 7 doesn't have a floor fan, makes me a little sad cuz sometimes it's nice to have a cross wind from the floor fan and the ones inside the bed.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Since there is 5,00000000000 locations, I will just write my review for the Arden location but make it pretty general.
If you have a membership, and you are near the Arden location GO HERE. In my opinion it is the nicest Amazing Tans branch I've been to and I have been to pretty much all of them.
I like Amazing Tans---I hate that they have a new membership fee on top of the monthly fee, price for lotions if you choose to get them, googles, etc. Not the best prices BUT you get what you pay for. I go with a Level 3 VIP membership which gets you some pretty powerful, high quality beds, both lay down and stand up options. I am very satisfied with the beds and my tan. All the staff I have ever dealt with have been very friendly and helpful. Sometimes a bit pushy on buying new lotions---if I have a full bottle of 70 dollar lotion I am not about to 'try' a different one. Sorry. I'll use what I got, then we'll talk! -

Went tanning today and had a beautiful experience! No complaints. Lotions are a little pricey but with a coupon/special it's fair.
I was helped by Marisa who was thorough and knowledgeable. She recommended Belleza by Designer Skin and I absolutely loved it! Great customer service! Facility was clean and modern. -

CLEAN! Reasonably quick to get in - like that!
Staff is friendly & welcoming! I used to think it "depended on their mood that day" like a few other reviews have mentioned. Now that i've been going there for awhile it's fine!.. maybe i'm used to it?...
Arden way is always busy but you manage.
Anyway, i'm fan! Reccommended! -

I love amazing tans
My favorite ones are the Arden and the Manzanita one. I usually go to the Arden one after school when I am in the Arden area.
I agree with Danika this Amazing tans is pretty great.
The location is kinda funny. I feel like Batman when I cross that busy Arden street.
I love how clean this place is. Dirty places like for most people scare me and this amazing tan is CLEAN. I have been to a couple in the folsom/rosevile area and the Arden location puts this one to shame.
I agree that a lot of the girls here are pretty nice but I honestly think that it depends on who you get and kind of what mood they are in. One time I forget who it was but they were really nice selling me the membership and telling me all about the tan. But I had seen her again just for a basic going in and tanning and she was completely different. I think it really depends on the day and who you get. -

I am a big fan of this place. I used to work at a tanning salon so I know how the prices can be. For $20 a month I get unlimited tanning in the lowest level beds, which are always well maintained. That is an awesome deal. The Arden salon is way nicer than the one I used to go to in Davis and I've never had any problems with bitchy staff.
