great place for a kids party. went here recently for a friends' kids 5 year old bday party. they have adult drinks so plus one star, but it's in a mall, so still 4 - sorry.
the rock climbing is awesome, go karts awesome, games for kids, awesome. mandatory payment to enter though as an adult, even if you don't plan on eating at the Cici's-esque buffet. it was ok though, we worked up a hunger with the party, and games and keeping up with kids!
all of the kids at the party had a blast and i can see us coming here again for another similar occasion. -

Ohhhhh. I waffled back and forth about this place. The first thing I thought when I walked into this place was 'GERMS!!' We went on a Saturday afternoon with our 5 year old and it was jam packed!! Don't expect anything less when you go on the weekend. The lines for rides were insane - so I wouldn't suggest any 'time sensitive' passes. Just get the unlimited whatever access pass. The staff is pretty much rude...but who can really blame them. We lost so many tokens in many of the games and had to hunt someone down to either credit our card, or get us more tokens. Painful.
The food wasn't horrible - I set the bar low given that it's a pizza buffet. They do also have a pasta bar, potato bar, and salad bar. I like the options they had available.
I think it's just this place is overwhelming. It's two levels of kids running around like maniacs without supervision.
Oh - they do serve alcohol and mixed drinks. How could I forget that?
I would've probably liked this place more on a weekday - but for a weekend - I would avoid. -

Food was terrible. Pasta was cold, pizza was burnt, and selection terrible. When I complained the manager Nadeen said they had fixed the problem already and she was sorry for my bad luck. I gave the food another shot and had the same result. I asked for a refund and then her attitude changed and she acted like we were trying to scam her. I told her if she needed to she could go check our table for all the bad food we didnt eat. Then she had her employee chase us down in the parking lot to remove my wifes wrist band that she had already taken off. NEVER AGAIN!

This place was pretty cool. They have everything you could want, there are bumper cars, arcade games, a buffet, rock climbing, and miniature golf. However, after paying $50 at the door I got a little turned off by the whole thing and was pretty much ready to go. Luckily I stayed and enjoyed all the attractions. I only have a few complaints, first the buffet was not what I expected, and you have to pay for it at the door upon entry. Also the movies were incredibly hard to hear. I did have a lot of fun, and for a Friday night I was shocked to find that we didn't have to wait for anything. This place is definitely not worth what you pay for, I would rather spend half of that and drive further to Gatti Town.

If I were married with kids I would give this a 5 star and would absolutely recommend this to all moms with young children. Since I'm really not at that stage right now, it's hard for me to give it an excellent review.
Why did I go there yesterday? It was for my company's Christmas party and they decided to make it family-friendly.
They give you a game card that you can choose to get it for unlimited amount of games that you want to play. There's also a laser tag game which I played it for the first time since high school.
It's pretty much like Chucky Cheese but without the show. They have a room that plays movies, rides like the roller coaster and carousel, video games, a rock climbing wall, and all you can eat buffet. The food was decent, it included pizza, pasta, salad, soup, and some desserts like the banana pudding. Alcohol is served, but it comes with a charge. :)
Who knows when I will go back there again? -

My friend planned her 28th bday party here because she had heard from their advertising that it was supposed to be fun for kids and adults and that they had a lot of things to keep adults entertained too. That's definitely not true.
Their buffet was so-so, it has a lot of options so basically everyone can get something they will like, but all of the food is mediocre in quality. The packages they sell don't include the arcade games upstairs (which is all the adults were interested in) and everything else has a line of 30+ kids waiting to do it and most twenty and thirty somethings don't feel like waiting in a line to play laser tag or mini golf with seven year olds.
If you have kids and you're going here FOR KIDS, then it will be great, but don't go here for adults and expect anything stellar. -

Amazing Jakes is the size of a department store in a mall. Actually it's in the same space of a previous department store in Collin Creek Mall.
You get in line, then if you're with a party, they have areas of tables divided off for each party. The areas are in an open view where you can see your kids play. On the first floor at least.
I was thoroughly impressed by the size of the pizza buffet here, let's just say it put Ci-Ci's to shame. A variety of salads and deserts, and the kicker was a separate bar that served alcoholic drinks. No full bar, just beer and frozen margaritas.
They have miniature golf, a rock climbing wall, lazer tag, go-karts, a mini bowling alley, trains, fair style rides which is basically some sort of animal or inanimate object shaped carriage that spins in circles in the air. Oh yeah, did I mention they have hundreds of arcade games, no really, hundreds.
I went there for a kids b-day party, took my two kids and I think I had more fun then them, so much as to lose my keys temporarily while haphazardly playing the race car games that you sit in and vibrate violently.
If you are planning a kids party, I'd recommend buying a card offered that you can put money on beforehand for each child. It's much cheaper. -

Before I start, let me tell you I am reviewing the food not the fun.
I went here with my Niece and Nephew 2 and 5 respectively. And my Mom, Brothers and Sisters in Law.
I really had a problem with the fact you HAD to purchase a Buffet for $9.99 Just to gain access to the facility. That means it cost me ten plus tax to watch Jakob and Morgan have fun and take pictures of them.
But nothing would stop me from being with them, and I was hungry, so I ponied up the dough.
The food is all you can eat, but I wouldn't be inclined to eat much. The pizza is the worst part, cheap ingredients (soy tasting meats, imitation cheese, canned sauce). As for the crust, my Sister in Law Ashley said it best, SPONGY! The pasta dishes were way overcooked and had no taste, I laughed at my little Brother shaking Parmesan cheese over it trying to make it palatable, his arm getting tired. The salads were not bad at all, the ceaser was particularly tasty. The desserts were not bad either, the cookies were soft and chewy and the banana pudding was good, though the portions were small (this is all you can eat so you can get more, but you have to wade through a sea of kids). The beverages are plentiful if you like soda (They carry Coke products!), even the two tea choices are from soda syrup, dang! I stuck with the water.
I guess kids don't really care about the food with all the cool stuff to do here. But I think from a food standpoint we will stick with Mr. Chuck E Cheese. -

We just had our daughter's birthday party at Amazing Jake's and it really was amazing. She turned 12, so it's a hard age to please... and since we're having out of town guests come in next week, we really didn't want 12 pre-teen girls tearing up the house.
For $21 a head (a few bucks less actually since we had a coupon) they got unlimited rock climbing, go-karts, bumper cars, laser tag, mini golf, and $5 worth of video games. On top of that they have an all-you-can-eat buffet. I myself can't stand CiCis or any place like that, but all the kids love that type of food. The deal is good all day long, so we actually wound up staying over 5 hours to let the kids get all their energy out.
We had someone dedicated to our party to make sure we had everything we needed. The service was above and beyond what we had expected. The kids all had a blast, and our house thanks Amazing Jakes for allowing the path of destruction to occur elsewhere. -

Celebrated my son's 7th birthday there and it totally lived up to the amazing billing. We had a ball. Laser tag. Rock climbing wall. Bumper cars. Go carts. Plus the games. The staff was super nice too. The food isn't great, but the kids all ate well, and kept going back for more, so I can't fault the joint for that. Bonus points for the bar for some adult beverages if you are so inclined. Having two boys, I've been to my share of Bday parties at the various places you can have those type of parties...and Amazing Jakes makes my top 5 list of best places.
