Review from Christina M.
Los Angeles, CA
The best coffee and pastry joint in all of West LA. I was born in WLA so you know I know. Best French Toast in town also. Amazing Quiche, soup and sandwiches too!
Best to get their early as they bake once in the morning for the whole day; when things are sold out, that's it! Croissants as close to France as you can get in LA. The staff is even a little rude to you sometimes which I think authenticates the Frenchness. I have been going for 5 years now at least 3 times a week, so I have learned to love that part of this patisserie also!
Parking can be tricky. I live in the neighborhood and have learned to love the walk.
I'm not gonna tell you my favorite pastries as others have in their recs of this place. I'm tired of them being sold out by the time I get there!! Ha! -

Choose any combo from A, B, and C...
A) Americano +
B) Croque Madame or Ratatouille or any of Omelette varietals +
C) chocolate croissant or Gateau Fraiche or Tarte Chocolat
...for guaranteed deliciousness from this cute lil patisserie. -

4 stars
Looks like a fantastic place for brunch - I just dashed in for some pastries to go. The pastry case was gorgeous so it was hard to narrow down my choices. Since I'm on the hunt for the best croissant, that was #1, and they have mini and regular sizes! Win.
Mini plain croissant - 4 stars. Wow it's so good. The layering is beautiful, and you can enjoy it from tip to tip. You get crunchy layers on the ends and soft buttery layers inside. The butter is so flavorful and rich while the pastry remains light and flaky. There's a layer of sugar on the outside (not powdered) which adds a nice sweetness to the pastry. I wish there was a little more filling inside (since the soft insides in the very middle of the croissant are my favorite part). It had a small gap in the middle between the final outer crispy fold and the soft puffy center. I wish that airy gap was stuffed with more soft, puffy center. So good. :)
Chocolate almond croissant - 3.5 to 4 stars. It was more like a really awesome pain au chocolat rather than an almond one in flavor (hence 3.5 stars for that). However, it's a damn good chocolate croissant (hence the 4 star range). The dark chocolate discs on the top were still a little melty, and there was the perfect amount of them (both inside and on top). The croissant dough was crispy at the ends and then soft in the center. Great texture. The almond part seemed to come from this crust that covered the top of the croissant, but it didn't really have any taste (other than being sugary) let alone almond taste. That's ok though because what came through was so good.
Pain au lait roll - 2.5 to 3 stars. It was just like a relatively moist roll that needed a pinch of sugar to bring out the sweetness of the milk. Kind of flat.
They had a caramelized banana tart that I will for sure return to buy when I make my next croissant stop.Listed in: I'd like a cwasont please

Took mom here for MDay bfast. It was pretty crowded but we managed to snag a seat outside.
Florentine omlette: 3/5 on the bland side, but edible.
Almond croissant: 4/5 huge, but wish they stuffed it with more almond paste. Bakeries in France are so generous with almond paste! I miss it there.
OJ: 4/5 fresh squeezed! Yum.
Café latte: 5/5 mom raves about it.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Kislev A.
PARKING: Limited number available behind this restaurant. Street parking available too.
DISPLAY: Large chalkboards behind the counter was well organized and easy to read. The refrigerated case for the cakes and the glass cases for the pastries were also well organized and well presented.
ORDERING: Quick, simple, efficient.
DRINKS:
Cafe Mocha - very good
Cafe Latte - very coffee-y
Americano - strong
FOOD:
Vegetarian Omellette - Very good.
Amandine Omellete - Good , but I prefer the vegetarian.
Corn Chowder - Heavy and filling
French Toast with Berry Compote - It was ok. I mistakenly ordered berries compote instead of fresh berries. I was thinking berries and the word "compote" went past my lips and I didn't even realize what I've done until I got the order.
Gateau Fraise - Light, fresh, not too sweet.
Delie Chocolate - appropriately rich but not too sweet. Reminds me a lot of flourless chocolate chake.
Croissant - buttery, light and flaky.
SEATING: I thought the only seating available were the ones inside. Then we would have been in trouble coz each person with a laptop claimed a whole table good for 4 people! But then, going to the restroom, we found out that there are more seating available to the rear of the place... and even better... plenty of patio seating.
The patio has a sunscreen and plenty of gas-fueled heaters on cold mornings.
If I would come back here, I would try more of their pastries which look heavenly. The omellettes were not as impressive as I expected but the bakery portion of this place more than makes up for it.
BOTTOMLINE: Get the pastries!! -

A super cute, delicious French cafe in West LA. I LOVE THIS PLACE! A great place to grab brunch, lunch, or dessert.
As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with the sweet aroma of pastries, cakes, and coffee. :)
Food:
-Chocolate croissant: AMAZING! The best chocolate croissant I've ever had. You can taste the rich butteriness of the croissant filled with yummy chocolatey goodness. Slightly flaky but it just melts in your mouth. SOO GOOD! :)
-Apricot danish: Rich, buttery, flaky pastry wrapped around an apricot filling. Delicious!
-Iced cafe latte: flavorful and pretty strong coffee
-Amandine omelette: omelette filled with Gruyere cheese, béchamel sauce, and ham with a side of salad.. really tasty!
-Florentine omelette: omelette filled with spinach, mushrooms, and swiss cheese with a side of salad.. really tasty!
-Tarte de chocolat: surprisingly it wasn't too sweet, but just the right amount of chocolate to satisfy my chocolate craving :D
-Vanilla custard tart: perfect flavor of vanilla within a rich custard surrounded by a buttery crust
-Banana chocolate croissant: very flaky and rich with slices of banana
-Iced mocha: not too sweet, just the right amount of chocolate, coffee and milk
Service:
Very friendly, but can get a bit slow when it's really busy. You order at the front and they give you a number where you can seat yourself. There's seating indoors and outdoors in the patio area.
Parking:
There's a small lot in the back.. but you'll probably have to find street parking in the residential area or find a parking meter.
I always love coming to this place and always leave with a big smile on my face. :)Listed in: Yummy Bakeries

West Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA
I love this place. This is my go to spot whenever a friend wants to go for brunch or if I don't feel like hopping on yelp to look for a new spot to try. I love their pastries and french toast. The crust on their pastries are to perfection. If I could just have the edges on all of their fruit danish and croissant type pastries along with some of their fruit toppings, I would be a happy camper. It's always a dilemma trying to pick between sweet or savory for breakfast there. Their omelets are also very good and portions are decent. Their cheese, onion potatoes that come with the omelets are a delight as well.
There is very limited parking in the back, but on Sunday and Saturdays there is ample street parking. The staff is very friendly and entertain my indecisiveness while trying to order.
As long as I live on the Westside I will continue to return here often. -

Amandine. Mmmm. For thee, I wouldst crawleth upon my hands and knees through the horrid LA traffic for thee and thine alone!
Seriously though, if you're looking for some serious French pastry, by all means get your hot lil buns over to this place! Good luck fnding parking, you might have to circle a few times for a (usually metered) space, but once you get one, man, it's worth it!
Sister and I, both great lovers of pastry (of the French variety) meandered in one morning and placed a few things to order. We started out with a veggie quiche for me and the ham and cheese one for her.
Mine was heavenly; it was like ratatouille wrapped in delectable layers of egg and a flaky, perfect crust. Everything just melted against the tongue, and with my sumptuous cafe au lait, I was in heaven.
We ordered a few things to go, like a couple of fruit danishes, butter croissants, and chocolate croissants. Nary a crumb was to be found later that day, my friend. It was so worth the extra torment on the recumbent bike later.
Staff is friendly enough, but the food is what makes the place a standout. The small tables with mildly uncomfortable little bistro chairs only add to the charm!
I'll be stuffing myself again here soon.Listed in: Playing Favorites.

Who needs Bouchon when you got this place, Thomas Keller's got nothing on these guys! Oh man their pastries are the best in LA, hands down.
They've got a nice a little patio out back and seating out front on Wilshire.
Cakes, tarts, cookies, croissants oh the croissants! -
Review from George S.
Arcadia, CA
When you walk in, you are greeted with a large case of fresh pastries and deserts, and a large chalkboard menu that offers a myriad of choices ranging from gourmet sandwiches and salads to an extensive omelet selection. The sandwich breads and the dressings are all made in house. The smell and sight of all the different dishes make it hard to choose.
I had come in wanting to try their croque madame, however this as well as many other items on the menu are not available until 11. I had very little trouble deciding that I wanted to try the Amandine Omelet, boasting Gruyere cheese, béchamel sauce, and ham, which proved to be a great decision. There was a good amount of cheese and fresh fruit served on the side was a good compliment. Also, their Quiche Du Jour is always a good choice, if you have a hard time deciding what to order I highly recommend this.
If you're in the area and you want breakfast, fresh pastries, or even some homemade cheesecake, there is really no reason to go anyplace else. -
Review from Jenna Z.
A very cute hidden jem! It was hard for me to find this cafe because I didn't realize it would have all the greenery on the front of the building. Parking wasn't too bad since it was a weekend and we did not have to pay meter.
It was the bf's birthday weekend, so we got an array of things. Croque Madame, french toast, crossant, strawberry creme cake, mocha, and coffee.
Things to remember: Croque Madame! This was DELICIOUS! The egg on top was cooked to perfection. I liked cutting it in half so the yolky goodness would ooze out and I could dip it with every bite of bread, ham and cheese!
Crossant was another wonder! This was brought to us first. It when great with our coffee, warm and flaky goodness!
French Toast was decent but I would rather order another Croque Madame in the future. I just loved the French toast because it came out with loads of strawberries :)
Coffee was also good according to the BF... he did have 3-4 cups, better be good!
Things I can live without: Strawberry Creme Cake. I was super disappointed when we got this. It LOOKS BETTER than it taste... sadly I was ordering with my eyes. I would definitely try something else. I was unable to taste the strawberries, the cake mainly consist of creme and a very hard shortbread crust which I am not a fan of.
Mocha was good, but nothing special, I just appreciate the pretty design on top.
I love this place for a morning breakfast. I seating isn't arranged the best but I would definitely come back for a cup of Joe, crossant and Croque Madame! -

My favorite brunch place on the westside! Their french toast is so moist it simply cannot be described! Get it with the fresh fruit or their homemade jam - either option is amazing. Their savory breakfast dishes are good too, but its very hard to top their pastries.
The cafe is casual and can get pretty crowded on the weekends. The outdoor patio in the back is my favorite place to chill. There is a parking lot in the back but its usually full so metered street parking is your best option. Always worth fighting the crowds and waiting because this place is a gem! -

I loved this place when my friend took me here on Sunday. The latte was so good I want a few more cups! My croque madam was really good, but the bread was really thick and I would probably gain 2 lbs. if I had finished the whole thing. It's nice that it came with a fresh salad.
It was sooo windy and stuff was flying everywhere, but they have a nice patio area in the back of the restaurant where you can sit and chill. We even had a little dog with us and that was OK.
The place was very crowded...but I would definitely come back again to try their other stuff... and get more coffee.;) -

Yep another favorite brunch place in santa monica. The Croque Madam was REALLY good, not too big and it comes with a side salad. I was pretty full from the sandwich and didn't really touch my salad. The egg on the sandwich just blends right in with the melted cheese and ham. Loved this item, and also had their fruit tart. I would probably say one of the best I've tasted. The bread part was really good, and so was the crust.... fruits was just as perfect. I would like to come back and try more pastries!!!
Too bad they stop serving breakfast at noon. -

CROQUE MADAME!!!!
oh... what a beautiful breakfast sandwich... It's pretty much a ham and cheese sandwich with an egg on top! The bread was soaked in butter and toasted. YUM! Served with a side salad.
This place is a cute little bistro and seems quiet popular. Tons of pastries and serves amazing lattes! Definitely a cute brunch place and perfect place to dine outdoors. -

2 thumbs up. Been to this place many times and each time they never fail me, at least not yet. Food quality is good and price is reasonable. Good bargain in the area and nearby Santa Monica. I like all their pastry and dessert, and they got really good Latte and breakfast menu. Try once if you can.

**GOOD LUNCH SPOT IN THE WEST SIDE**
Cute French patisserie.
Ivy leaves adorned the exerior.
There were tables inside and in the back.
I like the fact that the receipt didn't demand a TIP.
ORDERED:
*CHICKEN BAGUETTE ($8.75) - Chicken breast, tomato, grilled onions, mayo, Dijon mustard, greens, provolone, and French dressing all together was the perfect lunch sandwich. The bread was soft and delicious. The cheese melted on the chicken perfectly. The side salad was generously portioned.
*CARAMEL BANANE ($4.35) - Caramel bananas, pastry cream, walnuts, caramel, and whipped cream were decent. I didn't like the caramel sauce. The bananas were not that ripe and I like me some ripe sweet bananas in pies.
*FRESH LEMONADE ($2.75) - Solid, not too sweet or sour. Just right.
Noisy and busy during lunch time.
Will return.

Review from Rachel M.
I returned to Amandine Patisserie before writing a five star review of my first time going here a week ago. I thought this ivy covered bakery cafe was going to be my new favorite spot. However, after trying a few more pastries, I think it's just okay. Here's a list of things I've tried during the two trips.
The iced cafe mocha (3 stars) tasted different during each time. Although it gave me a good caffeine fix, the second time around wasn't as sweet.
The Chocolate Croissant is 5 stars when it's fresh out of the oven. The chocolate was nicely melted within the buttery and flaky croissant. However, at room temperature, it's 3 stars and like any other chocolate croissant.
The Fraise Danish (4 stars) is topped with fresh strawberries and raspberries. The pistachio bits didn't provide much flavor for the overall pastry. It was still yummy because the berries were sweet and the custard was tasty.
The Chocolate Twist (1 star) was not worth calories. It was a twisted pastry covered in not very good chocolate. Maybe I'm just a chocolate snob. It just didn't satisfy my sweet tooth.
I tried a slice of the Tarte Fruits (1 star). I wish I had a Porto's fruit tart to make me forget any memories of this tart. Banana, watermelon, and honey dew aren't the best fruit choices for a tart. The tart shell was either overworked or over baked that it was hard. I had to use my fork as chisel. The pastry cream was good but could not save this tart disaster.
Service (3 stars) was relatively fast. They could have been more attentive, and a smile here and there would be nice.
I'm in no rush to return here. I thought I was in love the first time here, but I guess it was just a fling. If only all the sweets tasted as good as they looked.Listed in: Crazy for Croissants

I always walk here with my dog and we take a seat outside. I love the quaint ambiance it carries even when I'm seated outside starring at traffic on Wilshire. The food is wonderful.
You cannot go wrong with the Croque Madame it is delicious in every way, including the side salad that comes with it. The egg is perfectly cooked and placed on top of the ham and cheese so that when you cut it in half the bread soaks up the yolk. The french toast is equally fabulous and a perfect serving size.
The service is usually great. Arturo in particular always remembers me, giving me a friendly smile and hello and makes me feel incredibly welcomed. He's also very attentive and seems to always be working his butt off. I always have a great experience coming here and my stomach is always satisfied. -
Review from Chau V.
I came back for brunch the other day, hoping to get some delicious omelette. Unfortunately, they only serve breakfast until 12pm on weekdays (3pm on weekend). So I opted for the lunch menu options though nothing on the board really excited me. I ordered the day's special "spinach ham quiche" and my boyfriend got the croque madame. Salad was included on the side.
The order came quick. Both of the items we ordered tasted okay, not much appetizing. Side salad was some mixed Italian greens and didn't go well with the dressing.
Hopefully I could wake up a little earlier to go get their breakfast some day.Listed in: LA best desserts, Gâteau fraise, BREAK after you FAST the whole…

If you can't decide whether you are feeling Euro or Hipster, head on over to Amandine.
Cute, ivy covered wall outside. Tables outside, inside, and in the back. You order at the counter and receive a number for the staff to bring your food. The staff spends time hunting numbers down which makes for a lot of confused looking people walking around.
My latte was really good. The Amandine omelette was ok, definitely not a repeat order. The salad the two jibber jabbering girls were sharing next to me looked amazing.
I'm excited to visit again to try the pastries during a coffee date. -

Los Angeles, CA
Probably one of my absolute FAVORITE coffee/ pastry shop in Los Angeles, a town famous for over-priced cupcakes and desserts. Amandine is located on the right side of Wilshire if you're heading toward SM Beach in a quaint little blue building covered in vines.
**NOTE** Parking is EXTREMELY difficult here (and that's why it's a 4 star review). I already suck at parking, so I didn't even attempt to park here. But my pro parking friends found it difficult too so it's not just me. The "parking lot" is in the back of the restaurant/ Wilshire, and it's literally like a TINY TINY nook that realistically fits 5 cars, but actually fits like 12 bc of the popularity of this place.
-Their coffees and lattes-- really good
-The chocolate croissant and the bread that's shaped like a bunny-- both delicious.
-Their tarts are amazing as well! Not too much syrup and lots of fresh fruit on a flaky crust
-I have yet to try their other pastries because I am a creature of habit and I'm constantly drawn to chocolate like moth to a flame... -_-
-Sandwiches were okay but, really, you don't go to a pastry palace expecting a supreme sandwich...
Oh, and one last note, the interior is SO cute. I wish I took advantage of Amandine when I was at UCLA because I would have loved to just spent the morning reading or studying while enjoying a cup of yummy coffee :) -

Amandine Patisserie is one of my too spot to eat "frenchy" in Los Angeles. The place is first charming and the food is definitely good.
Atmosphere 3/5: The place is quiet invisible from Wilshire Blvd but it is well located. Inside, the atmosphere is good. Nothing fancy but good enough to eat a breakfast there. Seats are hard to find tho.
Food 5/5: Food is excellent. I tried different Tarte aux fruits and it always was delicious. Their Breakfast is really good as well. They have some amazing sandwiches with Gruyère.
Service 4/5: Service can be slow specially when the place is packed but it usually goes well.
If you're in Los Angeles and you're looking for a different breakfast than the usual Bacon-Egg-Sausage. Give it a try, you will be surprise by the different variety of food they have. -

Um yeah, I think I just experienced eating the best quiche I've ever had in my entire life on earth. It lived up to its hype, and I devoured the-probably-1000-calorie-slice-of-ridiculousness within minutes. It was worth every dollar I spent on it.
I also had their potato leek soup (yum!), tried their cheesecake with walnut crust (delish! But I wish they used a regular crust instead of a walnut one), and had a cafe mocha that was pretty mind-blowing.
The outside of the store is so cute, I wish my house looked like it. I definitely want to come back and try some of their other pastries! -
Review from Charlotte M.
Los Angeles, CA
I've been coming here for a little over a year, and it never disappoints. My favorite part about this place is that the pastries I've had taste just like they do in France--I've had their croissants and pains au chocolat (chocolate croissants). Just be prepared for a big portion though!
Another great part is that their fresh orange juice is squeezed fresh. It really frustrates me when places claim to give you fresh orange juice, and it's not fresh. There's really nothing else quite like freshly made orange juice, and it's easy to tell when it's not. No worries here--tastes just like it should!
I've also had their croque madame, which was pretty good. I'm a much bigger fan of their pastries, though, since they make those so well.
I've never had trouble finding parking here. There are also a few spots behind the cafe by their outdoor seating. -

AHHHhhhh.. AMANDINE... I heart you soooo! I almost don't want to write a review about this place because I don't want it to get more crowded then it normally is. But because I heart you so much, I do want others to be able to experience the sweet experience I get when I am with you. *SwoOoooN* I know.. I think we need to get a room right?! LOL...why do I heart it so much you ask? Well, let's start off with the AH-mazing pastries, cakes, tarts, and of course the croissants. Probably one of the best french croissants I have had... small, super flaky, and tender in the inside. The fruit tarts is ALWAYS a win! The sweet custard and the fresh fruits on top plus ... my favorite party.. crust is nice and buttery. The strawberry shortcake looks to delicious to eat but trust me, the cake is soft and moist and the frosting is not yo average super sweet and thick frosting. It's more of a "whip cream" that is super light and fluffy. I brought it to work one day for a coworker's birthday and EVERYONE was raving about it. First, about how pretty it looked, and second, how delicious it was cause personally I am not a fan of SUPER SWEET dense cakes. That is why I prefer asian cakes over american cakes. But Amandine's does remind me more of an asian cake cause its not too sweet and its kind of fluffy and soft like a sponge cake. The delicious piece of cake/tart is not cheap though! It averages from $4.50-$5.00. Pricey but you are paying for great quality desserts! Best place for brunch too but it is definitely busy! Ambience is charming and cute. They have a good list of sandwiches with seasonal ingredients that is always great and the lattes are also a win as well! I seriously want to order everything at this place because all the pastries and cakes are as good as it looks!
*Tip: Cakes and fruit tarts are not ready before 10:00 a.m FYI.Listed in: OHHHh why you make me so HAPPY…

Amandine's pastries are so good they make me want to say bad words.
So, here it is (hopefully my mom's not reading this): Amandine, I f&@%#ng love you. I really f&@%#ng love you.
You must get:
chocolate croissant
apple cinnamon-filled doughnut (I DIE)
strawberry tart
Or, if you don't have a sweet tooth, go with an omelette. They're pretty damn good as well. So is the coffee. And if the weather's nice and you can find a table, sit out front or on the back patio. Sunshine makes everything taste better, you know. -

Rundown
- disorganized and slow service
- pricey, yet yummy
I hate it when I find a great place with a disorganized staff. Well, my friends, this place has great pastries and a very disorganized staff. However, they tasted so good that I can't give them less than 4 stars.
I came here around 10am on a Saturday morning to get a few pastries before heading to a study session. With my yummy pastries, I had a large cafe latte.
I must say the selection was a bit overwhelming. I almost couldn't decide. I ended up with a pear, croissant/chocolate croissant and caramel/banana pastries. I didn't care for the croissant, which I felt was just too dense and didn't have enough "fluff" to it. The pastries, on the other hand, were delicious. I couldn't get enough of them and can't wait to go back.
The one thing I hate about a disorganized place is having to deal with workers who are unsure how to serve customers. I wasn't given a receipt after I paid, however was given some grief when I didn't have proof of my order when.
One last thing that bothered me, which might keep me from going back in the future, are the flies that I saw in the area where the pastries were kept. Something about a few flies swarming around food that you're about to consume isn't very appetizing. :( -

If only it was manly to tell my male friends to meet me at the Amandine Patisserie. Sure, talking about football would distract my buddies from the fact that I just ordered a croque madame, but still, how are they going to look at me after I tell them that the huge brioche I saw on the way in would make a great French toast in the morning?
Who cares. With baked goods this good, I'll eat alone. -

Despite a simple menu, I still find myself wanting to come back to try more things. The specials are always intriguing and the desserts (cakes!) are incredible. To bring to a party or for a special occasion, I recommend the chocolate cake with raspberry or the strawberry cream cake with the graham cracker-like crust. To eat in house, I would recommend the incredibly light cheesecake. A slice of heaven.

Thanks for taking me here Andrea P :P
We had the most delicious croque madam with a side salad for brunch, and a bowl of corn chowder to share. I wasn't a huge fan of the corn chowder (not as rich and creamy as I'm used to...) but the sandwich was delicious. The bread that came with the soup tasted super fresh and soft like it was just baked that morning (probably was!)
I am so sad that I didn't get to try the delicious looking tarts and cakes in the display. Every single one looked so amazing. Now that I'm reading about all these croissants people are raving about, I want one too!
Good place to do work, cute place to study, free Wifi, yummy / tasty looking treats to keep your brain going. Love it!Listed in: BRUUUUUNNNNCCCHHH, Get your nerd on

Review from Andrea P.
I just went to Amandine for the first time this afternoon and I pretty much cannot stop thinking about it... I keep thinking about when is the next time I can go back and chomp on a delicious pastry!!
There's a tiny private parking lot in the back and was pretty packed but luckily we found a spot. Otherwise, lots of street and meter parking on Wilshire or on the side streets.
The minute you walk in the front door (which is a gorgeous almost Tiffany blue by the way), you see all these DELICIOUS and beautiful cakes, tarts, jars of scrumptious cookies and fresh baked bread, croissants and pastries, pastries, and more pastries! I think I stood there in awe of all it's glory for a good 5 minutes before I realized I had to order something haha.
Fellow Yelp elite Joyce H. and I decided to share the croque madame sandwich (since it was a top 3 on Yelp) and a bowl of soup - today's special was cream of corn chowder. The croque madame was perfect - the bread was freshly toasted, melted gruyere cheese with ham and topped with a perfect sunny side egg on top... YUM. The sandwich is a decent size and came with a side salad. I'm glad we shared because I wouldn't have been able to finish the whole thing myself. The cream of corn chowder was also really tasty and not as heavy as it sounds. The soup came with 2 delicious super fresh slices of bread - sooooo soft with a perfect crust.
We were too full to try a pastry/ dessert but I'm DEFINITELY coming back for these ASAP! I think Johanna C.'s quote sums up this bakery really well "I only got a coffee and a croissant and I was REALLY happy." I CAN'T wait to come back!!
There's way more seating that I expected, small tables throughout the inside of the bakery, a couple small tables in the front and large picnic tables in the back! I also love the front decor of the shop... the green vine-y store front with beautiful country french doors... there's no reason not to come here :) Amandine, j'adore!
FREE Wifi aussi! ;) -

Amandine is a good sized cafe with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. I usually come here in order to meet with groups of people because it is a cafe that is spacious and has decent food and prices, not to mention wifi!

You must order their ALMOND CHOCOLATE CROISSANT!!! :) The omelets are fine, but the almond chocolate croissant is soooo yummy. It's flaky and served warm which means the chocolate is gooey and mmmmm.Listed in: Breakfast Time!

I use to live right near this little french place when I lived in Santa monica. It is so good! Brought my dad here when he was visiting for brunch, and we split a great veggie omelet. They have amazing pastries, very flakey croissants, and good quiche. And as for parking, you can find something on Wilshire if lucky, or in the back.

Its been a long time since my last visit to Amandine so I was happy to have a chance to come and get one of their delicious almond croissants.
They do puff pastry, danishes, and croissants so well; buttery, flaky, and creamily sweet. I had a banana caramel "danish" and it was really good. I was concerned the caramel would make it crazy sweet but it actually wasn't. I love desserts that are lightly sweet because then it doesn't get sickening. The pastry in combination with the bananas, caramel, and dark chocolate pieces were absolute harmony.
Definitely an awesome breakfast/brunch spot. I have to remind myself to come here more often. French toast you hear about? You hear about it for a reason. -

Love this place.
If you are looking for high quality delicious pastries. Amandine is your place!
I can honestly say you can not go wrong with anything you eat here. I find reasons to come here all the time. Birthday parties? Boss is back in town? Amandine is the perfect way to say hey "Your awesome!"
The inside of this bakery is so pleasant too! Love coming in to have a coffee and a treat! -

Another favorite from my undergrad days at UCLA. Located in between Westwood and Santa Monica, Amandine is a cute pastry shop and restaurant that's always packed on the weekends.
I love the chocolate scones. They have huge chunks of chocolate chips in them (more like chocolate squares), and they're absolutely delicious! The berry tarts are also great. They're a bit pricey and come by the slice, but very filling. The espresso is good but not spectacular. I would usually order a soy mocha.
When it's super busy, it's best to grab your snacks and go. Otherwise, try to get one of the big outdoor tables. I miss spending sunny weekend mornings on the back patio with my girlfriends, nibbling on our delicious treats and trying to pretend that Monday wasn't just around the corner.
