Horrible! How do they even stay in business? Perhaps the majority of their clients are blind?
This was my 2nd experience with Amanda's Flowers, and unfortunately this experience was just as horrid as the first one.
When I ordered a floral arrangement through one of the popular national online florists, I was under the assumption that the florist who would fulfill my order would be a different local florist. Had I known that they would be sending the order to Amanda's Flowers...I would have called the other florist directly instead (even if it meant paying more). Lesson learned.
Both times I have had floral arrangements designed by Amanda's Flowers they have been just awful. I question if the people arranging the flowers are trained properly or even paying attention or perhaps drunk. It's almost like they have someone working there who just does whatever the hell they want...not paying any attention to what was actually ordered. They don't seem to pay any attention to the photograph or description for the arrangement ordered. Both times I have ordered floral arrangements that were fulfilled by them they delivered arrangements that were flat out ugly. Wrong flowers. Only halfway sticking with the color scheme. Flower quality was poor. Looking NOTHING like the picture of the product ordered. It's almost like they are trying to save money on the bouquet by screwing you out of what you ordered. What's worse? They couldn't even arrange the wrong flowers in a pretty manner. I swear, you could go to Albertson's and buy a $5 bouquet and be better off instead of spending upwards of $50 or $60 and being left in tears (and not happy tears!).
They should be ashamed of what they put out. I thought that perhaps the first time was just a bad day for them, but after having two horrible experiences with them I am convinced that these people don't know flowers. Your money is better spent elsewhere! There are other florists in town who respect their clients enough to deliver beautiful high-quality, carefully arranged flowers. If you care at all about the person you are sending flowers to...for the love of all that is holy, do not send them flowers through these people. -

Sweet service from Chris at Amanda's flowers. Ordered a funeral bouquet (long distance) based on Yelp review... Sensitive gal in touch with the need for us to express the right "sentiment" and a personal choice of flowers. Didn't try to push the typical arrangement and offered suggestion of price range, without pressure to overspend beyond the budget. Thank you Chris!!

We've gone with them 2 years in a row now for Mothers' Day. In '09, we were responsible, booked in time, and momma was happy. This year, we went with somebody else (this is all via internet & phone, mind you, as we both live far away from New Mexico), and they backed out on us THE DAY BEFORE DELIVERY!!! Frantically, we tracked down our credit card records from the previous year, and discovered that it was Amanda's we had used, so we called them again. The lady with whom I spoke scolded me for not choosing them a 2nd year in a row off the bat, but took pity on me when I explained to her that we had reserved a flower delivery a week earlier, but the florist told us the day before that they wouldn't be able to deliver on Mothers' Day. Well, not only did Amanda's get the last-second delivery done on time, they put together an arrangement based on our mother's prefered flower types & colors, and preserved mensch status for us for yet another year. Amanda's helped the bros a pinch. No question who we'll be going with in '11. 5 stars easy.
