Review from Wendy M.
San Rafael, CA
Amanda has helped me to recover from adhesive capsulitis, more generally known as "frozen shoulder." This condition is extremely painful and greatly restricts range of motion. Amanda, using the Hendrickson Method, has helped to bring my shoulder back to health.
Amanda has a wonderfully calming demeanor and really seems to love what she does. I highly recommend her services whether you want a spa massage or are in need of a more specialized healing technique due to injury or chronic pain. -
Review from Sharon S.
Napa, CA
This is an update. I had the Hot Stone Massage last week. Can I say which one I prefer? No:) I had to lay there for a few moments afterwards because I didn't think my legs would hold me up! I was so relaxed I felt like a limp noodle! lol If you get a chance, try it. Both massages are amazing! Thank you, Amanda!

Specialties
I provide strategic orthopedic and therapuetic massage to clients so that they feel increased range of motion, cessation of pain, and stress relief.
I use aromatherapy, deep tissue, Swedish, and AIS stretching techniques in my massage sessions so that they are effective yet relaxing.
History
Established in 2001
I have been practicing for 10 years. I worked for North Bay Pain Care, Santa Rosa and have been employed at Raindance Spa, Sonoma since 2004. In 2005 I met A.J. Maldonado and became part of his team at Maldonado's Renew.
I received training at National Holistic Institute, Alive and Well, and The school of Healing Arts in Roseville, CA. Some areas of study have been Active Isolated Stretching and Pilates mat work. I recently studied Deep Tissue with James Mally, ND in Roseville, CA.
I contunue to learn new modalities.
Meet the Business Owner: Amanda W.
I became interested in massage therapy as a competitive swimmer. We used massage techniques on ourselves pre and post swimming events. I was often told I had "magic hands."
I decided to pursue massage certification after graduating with a BA in Art History, Minor in Business Admin. from Sonoma State University in 2006. I spent several years in middle management positions and was ready to "do my own thing."
Massage felt like a natural extension of where I was at in life. I had a small child and wanted to work in a capacity that allowed time for his care. It felt right to pursue a nurturing, healing practice that enhanced qualities I already had!
I love what I do and want it to be affordable and attainable for everyone.
