I've been here twice - once in 2009 and once this week..and it was great both times. They have they expected good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, but also have lots of other good finds:
- Large selection of cheese (I love cheese)
- Freshly made sandwiches
- All kinds of homemade bread and pastries
- Dips, spreads
They also have a few food things open throughout the store for tasting..it was like being at a preppy and elitist Stew Leonards. Parking is on the road across the street, but it's not a big retail area or anything. Both times I went I was parked directly across from the store.
The prices are high ($7 for organic eggs, $2.50 for a pepper, etc.) but I suppose that's normal for the area. If you are near the Hamptons you can probably afford a premium on groceries..so it's well worth it. -

There once was an amazing place in Amagansett...The Farmers Market....this isn't it.
The most overpriced food you'll ever find. Often times not friendly staff ... perhaps because Eli the boss is storming about somewhere.
Very disorganized ... ah but if you need Eli's Bread... well there is plenty here.
Why anyone would stand on line here to get this coffee is beyond me. -

Great place for picnic style eating with children. They have toys to keep children busy and the area is fenced in so they are safe to run around. Zabars provides the gourmet food, so you know it is good.

I'm not sure how a 100% positive= 3 stars, but in my opinion (and that's the one that counts- seriously, just kidding), Amagansett Farmers Market is worth more... 4.5, I would say. I would love to give 5 stars, but the location is really tricky. Parking is done up and down the street because it gets so crowded.
Aside from the parking situation, there are no other faults. Awesome selection of produce, bakery items, meat, really anything you could possibly need to make a lovely dinner, fancy beach picnic or even just for a snack. Hamptons prices, but that's to be expected. -

Wonderful local farmer's market - everything is fresh and locally grown - the prices are better than Citarella and you won't have any issues navigating your shopping cart through their aisles!
