We had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth to have lunch delivered on Saturday for a bachelorette party. Not being familiar with Amador County, it was easy to see why this was such a highly recommended place to get lunch. The lunch menu consists of several types of sandwiches, pasta salad, and brownies with seasonal fruit. There are many other side dishes and meal options, but we decided to go with the basket lunch option. It was very easy placing the order, and Elizabeth was very accommodating to outside requests. When we had arrived at the second winery, the food was delivered on-time, and the quality had far exceeded my expectations.
The turkey cobb and curried chicken salad were divine! Both were a big hit for our group, but I think the consensus was that the turkey cobb was the favorite. The brownies came in the appearance of a rich, dense chocolate cake, and was sprinkled with powdered sugar and came with fresh strawberries. The overall cost for 12 people came out to be about $15 per person which included their sandwich, pasta salad, and the brownies with strawberries. Everyone was very pleased by the service and quality of the food. I am very happy that we went with Amador Vintage Market for lunch as everything was perfect! -

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. Lunch sandwiches and salads were bursting with flavor.
WARNING - DO NOT VISIT PLYMOUTH WITHOUT EATING HERE. I don't know what will happen to you, but we are glad we went.
Pack Amador Vintage Market meals into your cooler for the picnic area at Karmere (where you can get flavored champange) or the lake picnic area of Deaver (where you can try one of the many Ports for dessert).
Amador Vintage Market is the "go to" folks for the local wineries when they need catering. -

Awesome place to stop for lunch. Had the Panini Classic and some zuchinni torta. It was really good. They have a park next door so it was great to let the kids run around for a bit while we headed back to the bay area.

Buy the Hype, as good if not better than advertised. The other 5 star folks on here nailed it

I have gone through most of their sandwiches and I love them all. I prefer the hot to the cold, but they are all phenomenal. I enjoy the curried chicken salad and this last weekend I had a hot ham and asparagus on foccacia which was probably the best sandwich I have ever had there. The bread is always so soft and the ingredients always compliment each other.
The market has gelato, lots of great gourmet picnicking sides, and tons of great space to sit at including several tables outdoors. Sometimes I go just to get the sundried tomato dip for parties or a sunday snack!
Everytime I have had food by Beth Sogaard I am impressed. The Vintage Market is no exception. -

Just when I thought there would never be another decent place to eat in rundown Plymouth besides Taste, the Amador Vintage Market opens and blows me away. This is everything this sleepy, ramshackle main street needs to whip itself into shape: A beautiful little market complete with top-of-the-line import goodies, gourmet sandwiches made to order and gelato. Hopefully this will set the precedent for future businesses that look to capitalize on the tourism dollars rolling into neighboring Shenandoah Valley.
I devoured a french dip sandwich that was so tender and juicy I had to pinch myself. The bread was soft and fresh and the generous cuts of meat and caramelized onions practically melted in my mouth. Fortunately I have plenty of reasons to visit this area so I know I'll be back soon!Listed in: Places That Start With A

Best Sandwiches for a Winery Picnic
Amador Vintage Market offers so much: deli, cafe, gourmet foods, so much variety to choose from in a small town market. Our experience has been very narrow --- we've stopped here many times for consistently excellent sandwiches to take along for picnics during wine tasting afternoons. The place has several tables inside as well as a few tables outside on the small-town sidewalk --- just fine for an informal, deli-style meal. The selection of amazing gourmet foods for take-out, eat later at home, is compelling. Can't go wrong! -

I used their catering for our wedding on 5/7/2011 and the food was some of the best food i have ever eaten! We were able to create our own menu.
Appetizers: carne asade taco and nacho bar
salad: vitners salad (spinach, berries, nuts and strawberry dressing)
asparagus, 2 types of mashed potatoes (blue cheese and horse raddish), lemon salmon, zinfandel marinated tri tip, and cheese cake and small bites!
it was amazing, they did our wedding desserts as well!
They had a amazing service and were on time, and did above and beyond what a caterer should do, like decorate and table set ups, and linen rentals.
The staff was friendly and we were able to do a food tasting. They were very flexible and accomidated our schedule since we were coming in from out of town!
While researching caterers, everyone in the area told me to go with Beth Soggard (Amador Vintage Market). I would have thought the dinners should have costed twice as much! Amazing food! Very professional people. Everyone in the town knows this is the best option!
The sandwiches in the deli are wonderful and their homemade chips are excellent! I can't wait to go back! I suggest getting their boxed lunch and taking it to the wineries while tasting! -

Great wine picnic stop to load up... Tons of local Amador bottles and great sandwiches and sides. They have tortilla chips that are unique and to die for!

Spicy!
Upon entering this rustic little market you are greeted by the cash register with a small bowl of chips and a dish of hummus sitting in front of it. This is your introduction to the taste sensations that await.
We split a chicken curry sandwich and mac 'n cheese. The mac 'n cheese had 3 different kinds of very zesty cheese and bacon in it. The sandwiches were served on fresh backed foccacia and the portion was just right!
There is a good beer selection and you can even take it outside to their sidewalk tables. There's a nice little park a block away if you prefer, but keep the adult beverages on the down-low if you go there.
Fresh, home made quality at a very fair price! Great lunch either before or after wine tasting in the area. -

When I'm called upon to put together an off-site in Lotus, CA (pop. 647) I groan in frustration since the lodging options are so slim. I generally end up using a combination of kitschy B&B's, cabins (why yes, you are sharing a bathroom with two other guys), tipis, campsites and in the past, a yurt. Big sigh.
Fortunately, my catering is so much easier to put together with the help of Chef Beth Catering and Amador Vintage Market. I worked with their very capable and friendly events manager, Glory, to put together several easy meals that could be dropped off and eaten when the participants were ready, as well as a couple of fancier dinners that required waitstaff. And, when our helper dropped out at the last minute, Glory stepped up with a couple of folks who stayed on site for all the meals and helped set up, break down, clean up and in general, just take care of business.
The menus were diverse, delicious and healthy, with options like egg calzones or herbed frittatas for breakfast, served with fresh fruit platters and homemade pastries and biscuits. Lunch was an easy sandwich box with orzo salad and topped off with a chocolate cherry brownie. We had one Mexican themed dinner and one Indian themed dinner.
I received nothing but raves from my picky co-workers about the food, and will definitely work with Chef Beth and Amador Vintage Market again last year. -

One could work up a mighty appetite while tasting Zinfandel in the Shenandoah Valley, so make sure that you take a break and head into Plymouth for one of the tastiest sandwiches that you'll ever sink your teeth into.
Better idea! Better idea! Before you even head up the road to the wineries, have the Amador Vintage Market pack you up a picnic lunch that you can eat at one of the many picnic grounds! They'll pack you a complete picnic basket, it's a no-brainer. I suggest having your picnic at the picnic area at Story Vineyards, the view is breathtaking.Listed in: Want to get away? I mean…

While we are actually out of town residents, we visit Plymouth, and of course the wineries in Shenandoah Valley often. And for lunch, we love stopping by Amador Vintage Market. We love the sandwiches and salads, the friendly people who work there, the outside green awnings, the brick building, and the wine selections. I would recommend Amador Vintage Market for anyone wanting a nice lunch. They'll also box up your lunch so you can picnic out at one of the wineries.

There is a serious lack of good food stops on the Amador wine circuit, and so far the Vintage Market stands out as the best.
Both my grilled vegetable and my husband's curried chicken salad sandwiches were very good and reasonably priced. They aren't huge but they're a good lunch size. And if it's not enough for you, they make these amazing homemade pita chips.
The location is cute, and they have tons of seating, but since it was a rare nice day in February we decided to eat outside. Most of their food is perfect for a picnic, so we picked up what we ordered and took it to a vineyard.Listed in: In the Amador Hills

The Amador Market is an unexpected find for such a small town. Beth and her staff do a great job of taking care of their customers! It's no wonder she caters so many weddings and events at the local wineries!
I often ride my motorcycle and loop through Plymouth stopping off for some fresh brewed iced tea and sometimes a snack. Other times I bring my family for lunch. Whenever I ask my kids if they want to go for a ride they always request we go to Plymouth so they can go to the Amador Vintage Market! -

I stopped by with my friend to grab some lunch before heading over to the Amador Flower Farm. I had learned about the Amador Vintage Market from the Amador Flower Farm website. I didn't really get a chance to browse too much but it's a really cute place.
I had the Amador Turkey Cobb sandwich and the House Garden Salad. The sandwich was only so-so in my opinion. I did quite like the salad though. The salad itself was pretty filling on its own and the pickled onions and champagne-basil vinaigrette provided an extra touch that made what would be a pretty typical garden salad more unique. All in all, it's a nice place and I'm glad that I stopped by. I would come again if I'm ever in the area. -

If you're looking for a great lunch before heading into wine country, or are just passing through, this is the place to go. They have incredible sandwiches, we ordered the turkey & bacon, and the curry chicken, and were left speechless. They also have samples of local olive oils and a wine tasting bar. The atmosphere is perfect for a wine country outing and we were so glad to start off the adventure here.

Spending mother's day wine tasting and picnicking in the Shenadoah Valley was a treat. We picked up sandwiches, bread, and cheese at Andraes Bakery and salads and pies at Amador Vintage Market for our picnic. Good food and friendly service at AVM. Love the curry chicken salad.

What a lovely find in Mayberry, I mean Plymouth. Had some hearty sandwiches before embarking upon Amador for some wine tasting. This tiny town looks like something from the turn of the century, last century, not this one! Friendly staff, great food. Be sure to make this your first stop before you go wine tasting.

I ordered a couple picnic box lunches on their online order form. When we arrived to pick up our lunch, low-and-behold, no order was ready. I was informed that "most people call to verify their orders since we don't take credit cards online." There is a notation on their website that states they require a card to place the order but not that you must call after filling out the form to submit it. What's the point of an online form if I have to call in. That needs to be changed. After waiting about 30 minutes for them to fill an order I have placed 3 days earlier we were able to leave. The salad greens could have been crisper but the sandwiches are the only reason they are not getting one star. If I can't find somewhere else with comparable sandwiches I might give them another chance.
