1 review for Amador Harvest Inn
The Inn is clean. The bed in the Zinfandel room is more comfortable than most B&Bs. However the shower head in the in-room bathroom was placed for folks 4 feet tall. All four rooms are upstairs- there is no elevator. The rooms are of adequate size and are advertised as "air-conditioned". Central air is installed, controlled by a set-back thermostat located in the upstairs hall. It appears to be set to 77º most of the time, until shortly after midnight when the set-back setting kicks in and the system is turned completely OFF. During the Summer, like right now, when the outside temperature during the day is 98º, the temperature indoors after midnight still requires cooling. All of this is moot if you visit outside of the summer months. Then there is the yard maintenance that began just after 7am on Tuesday morning. If it happens that you weren't quite ready to arise that early, well, so much for sleeping in. The breakfast is very good and consists of coffee, juice, a baked egg dish, fresh seasonal fruit compote, and housemade scones. The lodging choices in the Plymouth area are few are far between. The next time I stay in the area, it will be in Ione (I-own) or Jackson.
