So, I bought a Groupon deal during the summer for 3- Pumpkin enzyme facials.  What I have learned is to call the participating vendor and get ALL the details before purchasing.

This was a mini facial, not the full one noted in the Spa menu.  Even though Groupon mentioned they could be purchased as gifts, I later found out I couldn't use the 3 on myself and 2 other people.

After learning these details while trying to book appointments for my niece and myself, I was pretty frustrated.  However, the  person booking the services (I believe her name was Kelly), sensed my frustration and was good enough to provide some great customer service and accommodation.  Kudos to her!

While I concur the spa can use a face lift, we didn't find the facilities dirty, and there were plenty of people cleaning while we were there.  Listen folks, this is not The Red Door or the Ritz Carlton spa, ok?

We both agreed our treatments were great.  Special shout out to Edith, who is probably the best masseuse I've been to.  I booked an appointment that day, for my husband.

All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I'll be back to see Edith again soon!

I am new to the neighborhood so I went through a "groupon" I had purchased to explore my  new town... this experience was incredibly disappointing, and i will never come back or go on groupon again! Save your money!

The spa was old, dirty and dated. Lockers were not working, The steam room was broken... and what's worse... there was literally trash piled everywhere! I understand that I went on a busy day... but I still cannot get over the amount of trash piled in the women's changing room, locker room, bathroom, the waiting area in the front and the sitting area in the back was especially bad. Because of the uncleanliness I was not able to relax in any of my treatments... my massage was especially painful even when I communicated it to the young woman massaging me that I easily bruise. I left black and blue on my back, and ended up commuting 3 hours to my old masseuse to fix my neck and the new pain in my back!

However! The manicure I had received was very well done, and the esthetician that gave me a facial was also wonderful... I wish I could go back to have them help me again, but its just not worth going to the unclean, outdated facility with the rude receptionist to boot.

My loving husband bought a gift certificate for a couples massage.  Appointment was a little difficult to schedule as the couple's room was not always available when we wanted to use it.  So I scheduled it 2 weeks ahead.

When we got there, we parked on the green street.  We checked in and the girl in the counter said to please tip on the full amount.  Huh? What?

I have to say, I was somewhat disappointed.  The place was not as glamorous as I thought it would be.  It was outdated and old.  We were told to change into a robe and wait.  And we waited, and waited.

Once the massage came, and done.  It was mediocre.

This place has nonstop Groupon deals so that's a definite plus. You get what you pay for, the place is dated and robes are falling apart. BUT the massages are hit or miss.. I've some amazing ones, some ok, and 3 horrible ones.  When you have a deal, they won't let you request specific masseuses and I realized after the last crappy one that a cheap bad massage is never a bargain.

A really disappointing experience at Amadeus yesterday.  It was my first visit to the salon and I was really looking forward to my facial and massage.

I came in expecting a 5 star spa, unfortunately the spa itself turned out mediocre at best.

Spa - old, worn and very, very dated.  Worst of all, it felt dirty.  Torn carpeting, 70s furniture, one tiny claustraphobic waiting room and a larger "relaxation" room in the back which must have been under a parking garage since it felt like a train was driving over us every few minutes.  There is one steam room which didn't look appealing.  No pool, sauna or spa.

Service - massage was okay, not the best and not the worst.  Music stopped in the middle of service and the room was not fully prepped before I came in.  No towel on the head rest, etc.

Facial - a bit different:  the therapist was very nice and knowledgeable, but it didn't feel like a real facial.  Product applied to my face, taken off, some extractions and a teeny massage.

My package included wine and chocolate.  I had to wait for 45 minutes in the "garage" waiting room for the treat.  It wasn't until I went to the front to check on it, that it was brought out.  I substituted a cappucino for the wine.  Not a good idea... it was more like hot chocolate, but it was hot.

Service - the girls at the front were not very courteous.  Came across as disingenuous.  As I was paying - automatic 18% tip included on top of services - one was on the phone trying to sound nice, but rolling her eyes and making faces.

Overall, a weird experience.  I would never go back and pay full prices and will consider twice even with the best of coupons.

I had always wanted to try Amadeus, so my friend and I bought the Groupon deal for an hour massage, mini pumpkin enzyme facial, and a mani. I called in to make an appointment for us, and the ladies in the front desk were so helpful to get us in at the next available time.

Our first experience was wonderful, they made us feel like their best customers. All the way from the masseuse, to the manicurist, to the facialist. Because of that, we've been going once a month for a facial. The front desk ladies know us now, and are so sweet and fun to talk to. You just have to be patient, they are busy girls answer phones and checking people in and out.

Now Bertha, my facialist, I love her. She is such a sweet, gentle lady, and very good at what she does. We really connected, and she makes me feel so relaxed and I  come out of there glowing and a little red. of course She has really helped clear my skin . The bonus is that she always remembers what we talked about during the last session.

I got a coupon for the spa from LA DEALS for my wife. There were only completely ridiculous times available and at the end none at all. Total ripoff! My wife used to go to their salon and left there more than $100 every time. Not anymore. My advice: don't even try!

I don't write a lot of reviews... but this one annoyed me that much that I had to.

I went here with one of my best friends to unwind and relax using a Groupon for $99 that included a facial and massage which was  a deal but was not worth it because my masseuse wasnt great at all! The person who did my facial wasnt in the mood to do ir but just chat and didnt really want to take out what was needed to be taken out of my face...  Yeah it was a good deal with the champagne and chocolates but i guess it wasnt my lucky day to have a bad experience for both!!

I took my boyfriend and myself in for a couple massage. Oh boy, it was not good. First of all,  you have to pay for parking. Second of all, the service sucks. I bought a deal for couple massage with wine. It is so cheesy. We had the couple massage together in a tiny room with two large women. Both could not fit through to assist us. I think the person  injuried my man. He was not happy with me. After the massage, we had cheap wine in the backroom that was dirty. It was suppose to be a romantic gesture, but instead I had to apologized to my man and had to give him a massage to make up for it Also, it was difficulty to get an appointment. Although I already paid with yelp for the deal. I had to reserve my appt with a credit card. They were not flexible with scheduling. What the hell ? I will never go there again

This place is really third rate. It's grubby: old scuffed paint, broken lockers, dirty cups and accumulated debris under the waiting room tables and even the main rabbit-warren is sorely in need of a vacuuming. One would think any of the five or six heavily made up young "receptionists" would take a walk around now and then to pick up.
The fake plants are dusty, the carpet torn, magazines old and ripped up.
The shower loses pressure when someone flushes.
There were no clean combs and the supplies that were there were tawdry and sketchy.
    My facial was good (Prema).
    But I won't ever return.

Went for my birthday.  I had a great massage therapist, but the atmosphere was definitely not what I thought it would be.  The locker room is pretty sad and dirty.. I was in the steam room and had to get out after 5 minutes because it felt and looked dirty!  I've been to many spas and this is probably the worst one I've ever been to... I did not feel relaxed at all.  Definitely not worth the price we paid

So I came here again to see Elisabeth for a hair cut and I'm so glad I did!  I have been going through the past couple years with hair that I thought was ok but was just content about it.  After seeing Elisabeth! I have never been happier!  She was sweet and very friendly!  She talked to me about what exactly that I was looking for and gave me some recommendations as well!

Haircuts here are a little pricey but well worth it when you get it done through Elisabeth!  I'm definitely coming back to her more often for my monthly cuts!

Enjoyed several spa services here purchased via a Groupon.  All services were very well-done.  The technicians were highly experienced, long-time employees of the spa.  As others point out, the facility could use better maintenance and some updating, but I would definitely stop in for a massage or pedicure.

My sister bought me a gift certificate to Amadeus for my birthday since there was a treatment that I wanted to try.  Since I had never been there before and I heard some good reviews, I decided to give it a try.

When I first arrived, the spa looked really empty.  There was really no foot traffic at all.  After checking in, we were directed to the women's lounge. My initial impression was "Wow, this place is tiny."  Compared to some of the other spas I had been to in the past, it was really hard to compare.  There were only 2 sinks and two restrooms (which, by the way, both of them clogged up after use).  I assumed since it was a smaller spa, that it was "okay".

I decided to use the sauna since I had about 40 minutes before my appointment.  To my horror and disgust, when I opened the door to the sauna, it was disgusting.  The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.  There was mold and mildew to one corner.  I decided not to go in there afterward.

Although my experience with the facilities were horrible, the experience with my masseuse, Christine, was great.  She did an awesome job.  I decided to choose the Signature Massage.  It was really relaxing.  The room itself was not nearly as nice as other ones that I had seen before, but I the massage made me forget my worries.

My sister's experience wasn't that great either.  She ended up with a spa treatment which was supposed to start with a warm shower, that turned to a cold shower that didn't work.

I doubt I will ever go back to Amadeus again.

This place is awesome! My boyfriend got me a Gift Cert here for a massage so I got the one called "Back to Bliss" massage which is good for a tense back (I had a stressful day so it was perfect). They put a heat pack on your back first then deep tissue massage you....oh man, it felt amazing and the balm that they put on your back relaxes your muscles even more. I felt like I was melting by the end of my 45 minutes.

I originally went for the massage but I saw they had a salon there too, so I made an appointment to get my nails done. I have to say it was definitely the best manicure that I have had in a long time, and I usually go to some nice places to get my nails done. Diana helped me choose which option was best for my nails (I ended up getting gels) and she showed me how the different ones would look before she got started.

They are very attentive to your needs making sure you have drinks and magazines etc while you are getting your service. And for the shopaholics like myself, there are a ton of products they sell, all high end, like shampoos nail polish etc, the perfect way to end a nice day at the spa is of course to buy yourself something to pamper yourself at home with.

I would go here again in a heartbeat, and when I need a little break from everyday stress I will be back.

I took my sister here for a spa day for her birthday through the TravelZoo package they offered this past Spring. We each had a 60 min massage, a 75 min facial and a paraffin hand wax treatment, plus wine and chocolates. The services themselves we both agreed were great, my facial being the shining star of the day. The employees were very nice and obviously working hard.

However, as an above poster has mentioned, the facilities at the spa were shabby and dirty. The women's locker room door had a old paint job, the "wood" front lockers had marks on them from when someone scotch taped something to them awhile back, the bathroom sink counter had a basket of cheap, sandpaper quality paper towels and a bottle of Softsoap with a plastic fish floating in it (this is the same soap I buy for my young children's bathroom). The shower head in my shower was gunky and the wall mounted shampoo and conditioner pumps were old and dirty. The general atmosphere is disheveled and sad. And the plastic plants everywhere only contribute to this feeling.

The waiting room in the front is tiny and cramped - if more than three people were in there at once, their knees would be touching. The magazines they have out are old and tattered. The labyrinthine design of the spa makes one feel like a rat in a maze at times. The chocolates and wine we received at the end sum things up nicely: I got two small truffles on a cafeteria style plastic plate. My sister got three small truffles on a Dixie paper plate. No consistency, no attention to detail, no efforts to appear upgraded and of quality.

I will reiterate that the actual spa services we had were very good and worth the money. It just would have been better in a cleaner, more updated environment.

I have only had facials at the Green Street location. Julie Ray rocks!
I agree that the amenities are not what you'd expect for a spa with those rates, it is no Agua Serena or Burke-Williams.
But if you are only interested in the facial, Julie performs a great Multivitimin facial that will leave you looking and feeling youthful even if you thought you looked hot when you went in!

overall, a good local place to go! I'm a huge massage connoisseur , I've gotten massage around the world: Japan, Paris, Rome, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Brazil and that's not including places here in the US.
The facilities are modest, but sufficient. For somewhere local, it's enough. :-)  Little less than Brooks, but quality of service is pretty much the same and is 20% cheaper. The masseuses are very competent. Basically I feel it's a good deal for the buck. :-)
Overall a definite recommendation and their facials, manicures, etc are great as well. Great place to get it all!
Try the 4 special if you have 4 hours of tim, it's a massage, lunch, facial, and manicure.

AMADEUS SUCKS EGGS BIG TIME!!   I was given a groupon certificate that is due to expire on December 1, 2011. I called on November 15th, and was denied an appointment under this deal. I don't understand how the facility can sell these certificates and not honor them even though we're two weeks from the expiration date. That is just not right!   I'm going to bag this facility every chance I get unless something is done to amend this type of fraudulent policy.

Amadeus Spa and Salon is nice and caters to all your needs. The inside is nicely decorated, not AMAZING but decent.

I got a pumpkin peel facial Friday night and it was pretty damn good, but I felt a little manhandled. The arm and neck massage was a little rough as well as the facial itself - I've had smoother ones before. But I left feeling refreshed and super clean, reminding myself why I need to get a facial more often.

I don't think I'd come back here, but it was a nice experience overall.

I haven't personally gone and experienced any of the spa treatments, but i did call and book reservations for my girlfriend as a suprise. The staff was friendly and very willing to take their time with me as we explored the different treatments they had there. They were very patient with me as i looked over all the treatments and they answered all my questions. I went with my girl, and their waiting room was dim lit, relaxing, they also had lounging chairs, and they serve you tea and water as you wait. I got her the coconut treatment, or the paradise treatment, something like that, and she loved it.
its a pretty cool place to go, its a bit pricey, but if you have the money to spurge a bit, then its a great place to go once in a while.

I used my Groupon for a massage and facial here a few weeks ago.  I saw the high ratings online and in articles and decided to get the deal for me and my aunt.  I was disappointed.  They were disorganized and staff told us a few different things when we checked in.  The lockers wouldn't lock and nobody could help us- so we carried out purses with us.  We sat in the waiting area in robes and finally people came to get us.  My massage was good but 30 minutes in they put a note under the door about changing the time of the facial.  Once I got into the facial it was one of the worst I have ever had period.  The room was freezing, the woman never asked about the temp or my skin.  She left me alone for long periods of time with a cold mister blowing up my nose.  I didn't get the promised treatment in Groupon- she completely forgot the Paraffin Hand Wrap.  My aunt said her facial was great and the lady told her all about the special products she was using and even added on an eyebrow wax.  Finally we ended up randomly in the lobby unsure of where to find one another- nobody could help us.  My aunt's facialist asked if we had our wine and chocolates?  We forgot they were part of the groupon and nobody mentioned it.  We paid the bill (products my aunt bought and tips) and went back for the wine.  The area was super sloppy and it was clear on a Friday afternoon they had a bunch of ppl and didn't bother cleaning up.  Lots of empty glasses, dishes and leftover food.  Nice!  We got plastic cups of disgusting wine and a plate of mini chips ahoy cookies.  Um, well two of those and then two unedible balls of something.  GROSS.  I let the woman at front desk and the manager know via email and never heard back.  This place has seen better days...  It is not 5 star.  And btw the place felt very dirty and looked it.

The "spa" area of this location (which is the only one I've been to) is quite small. The rooms they take you in before they beat...I mean massage you in are even smaller. I had a horrible masseuse. I paid for a deep tissue massage; I did not pay you to give me more pain. I kept telling her, "Please, lighten the pressure, oWWWWwwww". I don't know why I just laid there and took it, but I did. Maybe, out of fear that she might bring even more pain? She was hostile and not friendly at all, which only made me feel even crappier. Needless to say, I couldn't sleep on my back for two nights. I can't really judge the whole spa based on one person but my experience was just awful.

I got my hair hilighted at the Colorado location... under the impression that it was an Aveda salon. However, the haridresser wasn't a trained Aveda concept stylist (found out after the fact), but I was pleased with the results. For the price I would have been happier if I was getting the Aveda treatment.

My friend and I bought a GroupON certificate for spa services here, so I was a little worried that maybe you would get the cheap version of what they usually offer.  But we both enjoyed our services and found them very relaxing.  Everyone was super nice too.  It is a day spa so the locker room is a little small, but serviceable.  I had a massage, exfoliation scrub, facial and mani-pedi.  This included lunch and a glass of wine.  The lunch was just a salad, I could have used some bread for a few carbs, but it is a spa lunch so I guess I should be watching the calories, right?  For the price I think we got a great deal and I would consider coming back, even tho I am  not someone that spends a lot on spa services.  I would definitely go for the facial and the mani-pedi when I return, and of course the wine!!  As others have noted the spa is 15 years old, but I did not find it dirty as others have suggested.  However, it could use a facelift.

I needed a new look before the new year, and it had almost been a year since my last hair cut, plus I had a gift card of $50 to this place, and among all their services, I figured a hair cut would have the most long term effect, so in other words, more bang for my buck.  I called in for an appointment on a Thursday and was able to get an appointment the next day for a junior stylist.  Pricing-wise, it's pretty expensive for a hair cut.  The junior stylist (who is a newbie to the salon but not to hair styling) cost between $45 - $65.  The senior stylist cost $85 - $105, and mind you, this is just for a plain hair cut.  I chose the junior stylist because I didn't feel like paying too much more, and I would say I made a good decision.

The person who cut my hair was named Daphne, I think.  She was really friendly and actually asked me what I wanted and listened in a patient manner.  I was not intimidated by her at all.  Then, after we decided on a hair cut, I went over to have my hair washed, and let me say, it was the BEST hair washing of my life!!  Not to say I have had my hair washed that often, but she was so gentle, the water temperature was just right, and when she gave me a scalp massage, I just wanted to float up to heaven!  I never wanted it to end!!  But, it did, and then she began cutting my hair with only a pair of scissors.  No shearing blade or anything...just scissors, and for the most part, we were just chatting away about different topics, and when we were done, I loved my hair cut!  =)

So, my hair cut cost $65, and I gave a $10 tip, so you can figure out how much I paid.  $25 out-of-pocket.

I'm glad I went to a stylist that I felt comfortable with and was able to communicate clearly with.  However, the sad thing is, because of the pricing, I doubt I would go back there again.  I'm just happy that I had such a great experience and hope to find a place that is more affordable but just as great.  It's gonna be a tough journey, eh?

This place is small and quaint.  The staff is super friendly and helpful.  They have a small relaxing waiting room with ice water/tea and very clean facilities.  They offer a lot of services from massage, nail salon, hair salon, merchandise, etc.
The massage therapist I got was very good, very nice, and very helpful.  I liked how she was very down to earth and cordial and keen on helping me figure out how to get rid of stress.
Their pedicure and manicure quality is pretty good.  I thought it was a bit overpriced for what they were offering but it was a relaxing experience.  There are still places that do it for 3 times less of their prices and the same quality.
One bad thing is that the waiting room is so close to the front desk so its not completely serene.  I would normally give a rating of 4 stars, but the staff is so nice here that I give it 5 stars.
Ive been to 5 star quality spas, but the staff isnt always so nice.

I recommend their deep tissue massage.  my friends like the swedish
    massage.

I just went today again, and i want to add that I dont like that they dont give you free water or tips like drinking a lot of water to get rid of toxins like some other fancy spas.  (because some people dont know).  I tried a new person today and he worked really hard to give me the deepest deep tissue he could.  pretty good.  hurt like hell though. =) i like.

I have been here twice...loved it both times...I haven't been to the one on Green Street - maybe I should - people seem to like it better.  It appears clean, everyone is nice...but the prices are a little over the top.
