Review from Lorrie B.

I have been working with Always Running for just over 2 years now. I have lost 70 lbs and and am still going. Its been an incredible experience. I have learned to run and have enjoyed not only the camaraderie of the clients but also the trainers that have a vast amount of experience and knowledge. I don't know how I would've gotten where I am today without them.
If you're looking for a personal trainer who will invest themselves into enhancing the quality of your life, look no further. -

I have been running on and off for a few years, but started to get more serious about running 6 months ago. Although I
was improving somewhat on my own, I wanted to learn how to advance my distance and pace faster. I have been a client at AR for about 2 months. I really appreciate the expert advice and coaching that Coach Tony and team have given me. They seem very used to working with busy clients and around hectic schedules, and use a variety of communication methods (in-person, phone, text, email) to stay current with clients. I really enjoy the combination of 1:1 coaching and group activities. All in all, I've found it a highly encouraging, relevant and supportive environment. Always Running is providing me a great education in how to continue to advance running skills without injury. Highly recommended. -

I was impressed. Training for my first marathon I needed to get a 20 mile run in and was stressing out about having to run it alone. Someone suggested calling Always Running. I joined them on fully supported Saturday run in Renton. Tony, the founder/head coach, organizes runs in different locations every Sat throughout the year. Great diverse group of people - some hard core runners, some weekend warriors, others seemingly new to endurance sports. Very welcoming. One-on-one training offered as well.

History
Established in 1993
Always Running continued to grow throughout the years based on clients' needs and resulting in Tony hiring his first employee in 1997, a personal trainer to help build clients' strength training. In that same year, Always Running opened its first mini-gym location in a one-car garage.
As clients' confidence in Coach Tony and his staff increased, they began to ask for coaching outside of running, including triathlons, climbing and cycling.
After building a strong foundation of clients and programs, Always Running began to expand again in 1999 moving from the Eastside to its current location in Greenlake - the hub of Seattle's running community - right next to Super Jock n' Jill. This gave Always Running the space to offer more cardio and strength training equipment as well as a fleet of mountain bikes, access to Greenlake for open water swimming and indoor cycling and core classes
Meet the Business Owner: Tony W.
Tony began running April 5, 1979. He was a 14 year old 8th grader at PS 5 in Patterson, New Jersey. The first day of practice changed his life forever. Ken asked Tony if he brushed his teeth every day. When the reply was "of-course," Ken simply replied "then you can run a mile every day."
The night before his first track race, Tony wrote a note to his parents and hung it on his bedroom door. It read, "Do not disturb, runner asleep." It was signed " Always Running, Tony Williams." Since then Tony has logged over 70,000 miles in his running career with only 80 days missed during his first 20 years of running. He excelled as a high school, collegiate and post-collegiate runner, and was a two-time Jr. National champion. While attending Virginia Tech he won the NCAA Division I All-American honors in both the 10,000 meter and cross country events. Tony became a Nike sponsored athlete in 1984, maintaining that sponsorship until 1997. In 1996 he completed the US Olympic Men's Marathon Trials.
