I could not have purchased my home with out Alternative Mortgage Sources.
Beth knows all the specifics and every person to contact to get through the process
as quickly as possible.
Beth also always took the time to support me emotionally in this very important purchase.
Anyone who chooses Beth will realized they have been blessed to have the privilege
to work with her.

I have used Beth Hoffman and co. at Alternative for 16 years. She helped finance my first home and refinance it. Later she helped me purchase a 2 unit TIC and convert it to condos.
Beth always gives full service. She explains things completely and patiently, she will work with whatever situation you are in, and has always got me good deals. She returns calls and emails like the pro she is.
Hopefully I'm not going to be doing any more real estate deals in the near future, but I will certainly use Beth if I do. -

Alternative Mortgage Sources helped us to purchase our first home. Beth and her team made the process simple, understandable and personal.

Something must have happened (in a bad way) with this company - I contacted Beth Hoffman in September 2010 with high hopes, based partly on the glowing reviews here on Yelp. She sent me an email asking for details on my condo (I wanted to refi) and then never got back with me, despite followup emails and a voicemail asking her to at least let me know if she had decided not to work on my loan. No reply at all!

I was referred to Beth at Alternative mortgage by a friend. I am reading these positive reviews in astonishment. Needless to say, my experience with Beth was completely different. I approached her on a refinance and it was ME throughout the entire process who had to call for status updates. She would schedule a time to talk and miss the call. I would call, get her assistant again, and receive a return phone call a day later if I was lucky, It was literally as if she did not need my business - I guess she was too busy. Anyway, I never write reviews (especially negative one's) but felt compelled to do so as this process is time consuming and all my personal information was given to a company who was less than helpful.

From the first time I walked into Alternative Mortgage -- years ago -- to find out what it would take to be a homeowner, to the nitty-gritty of getting a prime loan during a lending crisis, Beth helped with sound advice, great resources, and the real drive for excellence. Beth is an amazing mortgage broker.

Like the Joni Mitchell song, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone" - I never realized how truly good Beth and her team were, until we had to deal with someone else to buy a home in Seattle (since Alternative Mortgage doesn't operate up here). We bought two homes in the Bay Area, one in SF and another one in the East Bay (serially, not simultaneously), and Beth helped us get financing for both. Beth and her team were awesome, and now I can truly understand how amazing they were. In both cases she placed us with major banks - got us good rates and the process was as painless as something so tedious could be. Now if only Alternative could open an office in Seattle!

Beth Hoffman is an amazing woman. She worked tirelessly to find me a 30 year fixed rate mortgage in the thick of our troubling economic times. She was able to pull it off when the lenders were barely lending to anyone. When a lender would say no she would not quit and went the extra mile to find one that would work for me and my needs--all in a transitional time in my life. I credit her with literally saving me hundreds and hundreds of dollars each month with my new refi! I could not be more pleased with her service. Also-she imparts a sense of ease in the way she explains things. From the first minute I talked to her i immediately knew I was not getting the run around like some others I had talked with had given me. Also-once we found the lender the rest was a snap. When I went to sign the papers at the title company she advised me to use I found the same kind of no-nonsense people at that end as well. Seriously--look no further--call Beth now.
