6 reviews for Altered Space Gallery
So, I haven't bought anything from this store yet (so 4 stars for now) but my fiance and I went in today to specifically look at Todd Reed rings for our wedding rings and had a great experience. Sand primarily helped us but Simone was kind enough to pipe in too. They spent so much time with us and seemed to be having fun showing us all the fabulous rings we could choose from- even offering suggestions for modifications that could fit our style and finances better. I loved the fact that not only did they not pressure us at all but recommended to think about everything for a bit before ordering something.
I'm pretty sure we'll be ordering at least my ring there so I'll update my review then!
Because of its exquisite collection and uniquely beautiful interior, Altered Space Gallery feels like a landmark of the many shops on Abbot Kinney. Magic emanates through the storefront, and watch out, because you will HAVE to stop-in to look at the exquisite pieces, all hand-picked and curated by owner Sand Brim, who has been an activist, and art aficionado for decades. She has an amazing eye for talent and craftsmanship in all of the artists and designers she chooses, and it shows. There is not a single piece in this shop that is less than stunning.
This place sells alot of stuff that I want. From the furniture, to the art, to the jewelry, I love just looking around.
There was an awesome mobile hanging that I am currently trying out a home. With a credit card number, you can take things to see how they would flow in hour home. Unfortunately for my wallet, I love it.
It's due back Wednesday but I thinks I may keep it right where it is. In my freshly painted bedroom.
Tom, who works there is very nice and there is also a salon in the back.

Cool stuff in this gallery. And friendly, helpful, unpretentious staff (this is important).
I want the fountain sculpture, the one just inside the front door. It is made from a vintage green metal water cooler. It has a fishbowl sitting on top with colorful plastic fishies floating around. The thing is too cool for school. It costs $790.
Surely someone will buy this for me as a Christmas gift. If you buy it for yourself, don't let me find out about it.

we love this place! theresa is really cool and friendly, actually, the entire staff is friendly and helpful. they have really cool, unique jewelry and theresa helped us pick out a non-traditional engagement ring and we never felt pressured to buy. the staff seemed to genuinely care if we made the right choice. they were very accommodating since the ring we chose didn't quite fit, but they let us leave with the ring while they ordered another one from the jewelry maker and had it mailed to us.
