So, my ring came in last week and it was a bit too small so the wonderful staff at the gallery sent it for a slight resizing and had it ready in just a few days. We picked it up today and it fits perfectly. It is so beautiful and even more "me" than I could have imagined. We purchased a sterling silver ring with a cube raw diamond and because each item is handmade, every ring is slightly different and knowing mine is unique makes it even more special. So, yes, I love my ring!
Then, as I mentioned before, the staff here are so great. They are really passionate about their work and care about selling great products. I've only spoken to Tom on the phone (he was great too) but Sand & Simone have been there on each visit and are really wonderful.
It feels really good to know my fiance & I definitely made the right decision. :)Listed in: Wedding Thingamajigs!

Cool stuff in this gallery. And friendly, helpful, unpretentious staff (this is important).
I want the fountain sculpture, the one just inside the front door. It is made from a vintage green metal water cooler. It has a fishbowl sitting on top with colorful plastic fishies floating around. The thing is too cool for school. It costs $790.

This place is amazing. It's my favorite shop on Abbot Kinney. The stuff you find is so unique and so eye-popping awesome. The lady who works the front counter is so friendly and helpful. Always a pleasant visit at Altered Space. I try to stop in every time I'm in the area. I really enjoy it!

just an awesome, awesome place to browse through when you are in abbot kinney. this is a definitely a great place to go if you are looking for a unique gift or addition to the home or jewelry box. the staff and management are also very client-friendly.
worth a visit if you are in the area. -

we love this place! theresa is really cool and friendly, actually, the entire staff is friendly and helpful. they have really cool, unique jewelry and theresa helped us pick out a non-traditional engagement ring and we never felt pressured to buy. the staff seemed to genuinely care if we made the right choice. they were very accommodating since the ring we chose didn't quite fit, but they let us leave with the ring while they ordered another one from the jewelry maker and had it mailed to us.

Among the best edited galleries in Southern California, Altered Space features artists and artisans whose work excels in design, art and craftsmanship.
The gallery features the jewelry of Todd Reed, Eric Silva, Thomas Mann, Jes Majarry and many more. Custom orders are a specialty, particularly wedding rings and bands.
Richard Patterson exhibits his fine woodcrafted furniture at Altered Space and he is available for consultation on custom orders.
Altered Space is the Los Angeles home for the paintings of Michele Mikesell. Her works have become wildly popular among art enthusiasts in southern California and the gallery has shipped them worldwide.
The staff is extraordinarily well informed in the works on hand. They will painlessly guide you with your selection or custom order and you will never feel pressured. The gallery is about relationships and is committed to the artists they represent. How refreshing!

Sand Brim opened Altered Space Gallery with a vision that was a relationship based organization. We are about the "creative makers" of our world: those people who design, define, and create our physical environments. Likewise, we see ourselves as part of a vibrant, dynamic and unique community.
Altered Space Gallery features artists and designer/makers who work in a studio setting creating the exceptional works you see on our website. We are respectful of the artists and designer/makers we feature and maintain a close relationship with them.
In selecting the artists and designer/makers that are featured in the Gallery, we seek excellence in three distinct areas: excellence in design; excellence in artistry; and excellence in craftsmanship. We believe many of the people we feature and represent are visionaries in their fields. Often those artists and designer/makers are the originators of new eras in design or trend.
