VERY HAPPY BRIDE.
I was in search of a local place to do my bridal alterations. Rosa is the best! She beat the price of other seamstresses and gave me more attention. My dress had extensive beadwork and she put me at ease right away.
I sent my coworker here who was also getting married this month and she had a great experience as well. Rosa takes the time, makes you look great, and has a serious following. -

Rosa and Christina at "Alterations by Rosa" are the best! Seriously - THE BEST! They have truly saved my wedding dress and made it more perfect than I could have hoped for.
I made the mistake of having the store where I purchased my gown also handle my alterations, Adrienne's bridal in the LES, NYC. Big Mistake (check their Yelp page). Against my better instincts I left my dress in the hands of a woman who didn't appear to have any experience with alterations or care about the quality of the work..and in the end, they all but butchered my dress to the point I just didn't think it could be fixed. The side hem was crooked, the bottom hem was off, the front was to big, the back was too small...it felt like it was beyond repair.
Everyone I told of this ordeal said I needed to GO TO ROSA! They all said that she was the best and how she had helped with their bridesmaid dress, or bridal gown, or what not...and all had convincing stories of just how good she was.
I was very nervous to put my dress in the hands of anyone at this point, but very soon after talking with Rosa - it was clear what a true professional she is, and how an experienced seamstress works...so I put my trust in her entirely and was not disappointed. My dress looks amazing, and both Rosa and Christina have been so lovely to work with. It has turned this entire experience around for me into a positive one.
My mom is also having her mother-of-the-bride dress altered by Rosa, and yet again she impresses me by just taking such care in the details. She is a perfectionist and I promise you - you will never be disappointed if you go to Rosa. -

Rosa is amazing! She is an extremely good seamstress, and a genuinely sweet woman. I've been taking clothing items like pants, skirts, and dresses, to Rosa for alterations for a couple of years now. And I have always been satisfied with Rosa's meticulous work.
Rosa is the absolute best for bridal alterations! Almost every time I would stop in to Rosa's shop to drop something off or pick up my altered items, I would see a bride in there for a fitting. So when I needed my bridal gown to be altered, I knew Rosa was the person to go to. My wedding dress needed a lot of alterations. I had bought a really beautiful, Cinderella-type gown with a full skirt and long train. I bought the dress because I got a great deal on it, but I knew when I bought it that I wanted to have it made short, to above-the-knee length. I was getting married on the beach in the Caribbean, so I wanted a shorter dress. I didn't even know if it would be possible to alter the dress to how I wanted it, but I knew that I had a great seamstress and if anyone could do the job, it was Rosa. And boy, she did not disappoint! Rosa basically redesigned my dress, and transformed my ballgown into the most adorable cocktail length wedding dress. I could not have been happier with the results. My wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much Rosa!
If you have a bridal gown that needs to be altered, go to Rosa. You will not be disappointed.
