Fantastic late 1700s stone home B&B, with late 1800s addition. Has elegant from parlor, and pleasant foyer with stairs up to rooms. Half of the rooms are in the stone original building and half are in the addition, but are all accessed by the same upstairs hallway. Beautiful rooms. The sadie room is the one I stayed on. Very bog and roomy. Comfy love seat and chaise lounge. Beautiful view looking down over altamont from large field setting. Walls are delightfully two feet thick. Four post bed. Beautiful atone fireplace that was lovingly decorated with tiny candles in the hearth. Dresser with mirror. Very nice bathroom with tub and shower. Breakfast from 830 on. Checkout around 11, although we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted. Breakfast had its own downstairs dining room with huge old fireplace and exposed overhead beams. Beautiful station for coffee and tea. Excellent coffee. challah French toast was exceptional. Had it with scrambled eggs. Fruit salad and Orange juice started us off. Awesome place for a secluded gettaway. Check it out!
