I have to say, I had the BEST experience planning and holding my wedding at the Alta Vista Country club.  As are most brides, I had a strict budget, but wanted to have the top of the line package.  The Diamond Package was affordable and had all that I was looking for in a wedding package, hosted 4 hour bar, two entries meal choices, wine services during dinner, etc.  We also choose to get married on site where they have a beautiful gazebo and lawn area set up for weddings.  Amanda was AMAZING at answering all of my questions, accommodating all of the special touches I wanted to add into the reception, and right there through out the whole process on the day of.  All of the staff, especially Miguel, was VERY helpful during the reception.  I struggle with writing this review, because I know it will not do justice of showing how great our experience was.  I HIGHLY recommended Alta Vista Country Club for weddings!!

Came here for a fundraiser for Valencia High School Baseball.  Here's how we did...

    Buy in-$150  kind of steep
    Course shape- barely above average
    Greens-Great shape
Free beer-best day of my life, better than the day I was born

Golfed with brother, dad and uncle.  Alta Vista is and has always been a private course.  I'm not sure how much it is to be a member but I don't think it's worth it.  While the course runs through homes and streets, the fairways were yellow.  The greens on the other hand were true as Abe Lincoln or is George Washington the honest one?  The best part of the whole day was the golf carts giving free beer and the certain holes giving jello shots and snacks.  If I didn'y drink my $150 worth of alcohol then its my own fault.

Will I again? Sure, if it's for charity but I'd rather play Anaheim Hills.  That's a nice effin course.  Toot toot tutalu!

We held our first VPHS Baseball Golf Tournament, yesterday at Alta Vista.  Everyone from the pro shop to the banquet department was amazing. We had sold out the golf tournament and dinner.  Alta Vista handled the capacity crowd no problem.  It was a great event, would recommend them for any event. Look forward to working with the club again.

Had lunch here with a friend of mine. She has privileges because she has a house that is actually on the golf course. We got to eat in the cafe that is for "Members Only." Then again, no one checks if you are one or not, so I don't know how special it is.

It's a rather small dining area that faces the golf course. It's a pretty nice view and is relatively cozy. The menu consists of sandwiches, soups, steaks, fish... sort of like a TGI Friday's, but a little more classy. The prices weren't rediculous which was surprising. I ordered a simple club sandwich and it was $8.95. The portion was pleasantly large. A whole sandwich cut into fours. It was pretty tasty, too. Fresh, crispy and no funky taste. I ordered it with a side fries and there was a lot of it.

Sitting in the dining room, I felt like a grade schooler compared to other patrons. I swear the average age was like 85. They were just sitting around playing cards, chatting away and relaxing. I am totally envious of them. I doubt if I ever will be able to live my Golden Years like them.

Not a bad place to have lunch, if you are able to get in. I didn't think it was as exclusive as I thought it would be. Maybe it's different at Dinner?

If you are looking for a venue to hold a wedding,I would highly recommend Alta Vista Country Club.We recently held our daughters' wedding reception there & I can say without a doubt we were not disappointed.
Their wedding package includes not only the golf course views but a host of other ammenities.4 hour host bar & cake by Rockwells included in package.Low minimum for a Saturday event is perfect for smaller weddings.Don't be mistaken though, larger events are easily accomodated as well.
Amanda walked us thru every stage of planning. She was easily accessible & always returned a call or email in a timely fashion. Our event was magical to say the least!

From a wedding photographers point of view- Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia is an absolutely amazing place to have a wedding.I have photographed at Alta Vista a few times now and they always seem to do a great job. Every event I have photographed has been smooth and very organized.  There is a great spot near the lake off the first tee for beautiful background. Depending on the time of year, you may find cherry blossoms make a gorgeous background.
The reception room is spacious, with a great dance floor. Food was awesome.
If you are looking for a venue to hold your event, I don't think you can go wrong with Alta Vista.

This is one of those little finds. Brunch is very good and limited, but everyone is really friendly.

I had my wedding reception here on January 16, 2010.  I have to admit that the picking of the venue was the scariest thing for me.  As I was wanting it to be a perfect event, as I am sure all brides want.  After I had looked at a number of sites nothing was really doing it for me, that was until I came to tour Alta Vista.  We were greeted by Amanda who was so nice and welcoming.  She guided us through what was going to be needed from us and what we could expect from them.  To say the least after one meeting with her we were sold!  Alta Vista is soooooo affordable that I have to admit that it was nice to see a company who does not charge an arm and a leg for a wedding reception, they made it quite affordable my family and I.

As for the day of the event, it was really nice to see that Amanda was there to help with anything that we needed.  Her assistant was also there, although I can not remember his name!  He was always quite helpful at the different appointments we had.  The entire staff was great.  When they (Amanda) had noticed that I had not eaten anything and I was starting to feel sick to my stomach, she offered to make me a plate of appitizers.  They were wonderful!!!  I loved them so much that it in the ended up by being me dinner as by the time dinner was served I was soo full.  However, my husband ate all of his dinner, as he too loved the food.  All of our guests were raving about how wonderful the food was.  We had the surf and turf!!!  I do also have to give Amanda a big thumbs up as I had a raging headache before dinner (due to my ridiculous headband that I had)!!  I asked my mom if anyone had any Advil and sure enough Amanda was able to come through.  She also came through when we need safety pins as my lovely husband ripped my train, geez thanks babe!

Overall, from start to finish my experience with Alta Vista was wonderful and recommend that you check them out, as you will not be disappointed!

I highly recommend having a wedding reception at the Alta Vista Country club.  Not only is the place beautiful but the employees are beyond amazing.  Amanda was a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning.  My husband and I had our reception there in August and we were incredibly impressed.  The staff was amazing to our guests and we have several people come up to us and tell us how accommodating and helpful they were.  The food was AMAZING!!!  Throughout the entire wedding Miguel (one of the FABULOUS employees) kept bring both me and my husband water to make sure we were staying hydrated.  Word can not describe how fabulous this venue was.  You definitely can not go wrong with this location and staff!!!!!

Attended a friends wedding here and it was amazing. There was about 200+ people there and it started off with an outdoor ceremony right around sunset. Took place off to the side of the clubhouse which made it somewhat private which i liked. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was of all things the grass. I don't know why but that caught my attention immediately.  The walkway was trimmed low just like the greens on the golf course. The surrounding area was sligtly taller kinda showing u where u should be walking and not. The bride had a nice little ways to walk so that everyone had a long look at her coming down the aisle. As the bride made her trek, I glanced over at the groom who had the largest grin on anyone I've ever seen. When the outdoor ceremony was over everone made their way inside for the reception. There was a bar off to the side of the reception hall which was so convienent for everyone to get drinks. The tables were set up beautifully. The hall was very large and easily could have accommodated way more people. With about 20+ tables there was plenty of room in the middle for a big dance floor. When u look out the large windows, u get a gorgeous view of the golf course. A perfect backdrop to a wonderful day.
If you are looking for a venue to have an event, check this place out.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and had reception at Alta Vista last year. It was a day we will never forget. The entire staff was extremely nice and helpful. We were able to accommodate 130 guests with such ease it seemed like there were only 50 guests. Amanda and Stephanie were there every time we needed them and our glasses were never empty!! Our wedding day was so busy I didn't even realize that they had washed and packed our champagne glasses and cake knife. It may not mean a lot to some people but for us that was just icing on the cake of a wonderful experience. Not only was the venue perfect, the food was awesome too. We have never had such a great wedding dinner. It was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. We HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a venue, to stop and take a tour. Not only is it a beautiful facility but it was reasonably priced. If we need a venue to hold a large group of people for any occasion we will definitely be contacting Alta Vista.
