I love coming here! I usually come here to play tennis and basketball because no one ever comes here. It's really quiet and there is lots of parking.

GREAT park - has a bathroom :) Yahoo! Love that it has 2 structures & is next to a HUGE field.
Two wee teeny things, that took away a star:
1. If you use the yelp app, and follow the direction from it (on my phone) then it takes you to the parking lot across the filed from the actual playground. If you drive thru the newer Housing, then you can park right there by the park - it has it's own lot.
2. I wish it had "big kid" swings. Only has baby swings.
Nothing to not make me go back - we will def be back. -

Alta Loma Park has a children's play area, picnic areas (including bbq pits), tennis courts, ballfields and a concession stand. This park is much smaller than Gellert park, but is also clean well kept.
It also has a paved walkway; 3 laps is a mile.
A very nice neighborhood park located in South San Francisco, near BART. -

This park/picnic area is in a gated community but we've never had any problems in the past without reservations, although it's strongly suggested, esp. for an important event such as your childs birthday or what not. I like this place because it's:
-safe
-plenty of free parking
-basketball courts
-tennis courts
-baseball field
-bathroom nearby (cleaniliness is..mediocre)
-grassy field
-bbq pits and picnic tables on cement
Great place for an Easter Egg Hunt too and if you need something for your party, Costco is right across the street for you members. -

Ah, so this is what they did with McLellan's. Years ago, there was large flower shop here where I used to buy orchids for my Mom. I hadn't been there for years, and then saw that when they extended McLellan Ave. up to Hillside, they tore down the shop and put in a housing development.
I never drove up there again and thus never knew about the park, until one of my daughter's classmates invited her to a birthday party there.
It was a very relaxing patch of green grass in South City. If you don't mind SSF's ubiquitous wind, it's a great place for sports, playing catch or frisbee with your kid, taking a run, or just chilling out. You can even rent out a bbq pit section and have a picnic. It's nice, and a little less worn down than Orange Park. My family and I will be returning--next time my daughter will be bringing her scooter. -
