Review from Matty K.
First time here
Pros:
Fairly clean bowling alley with fairly decent bowling equipment. I can only compare it to country club lanes, but to me if it works 80% of the time or more, I think it's great.
Less families. Don't get me wrong, I think it's fantastic people spend time with their kids, but...lets just say I like how there are hardly any children in here.
Price: Good god things were cheap.
Pretzels: I'm a sucker for a good pretzel and these pretzels were buttery, chewy, and soft all at the same time.
Not very crowded on the night that we went.
Balls are well organized.
Crowd was surprisingly mellow.
Bar with lots of beer, bartenders are efficient.
Cons:
It's a in a questionable neighborhood.
A police car sped through the parking lot and stopped in front of the bowling alley.
Overall: Yes, come bowl here. No, don't go for a stroll down the street.Listed in: Spare Me

Getting older in age it seems as though all the time you once had to hang out with friends slowly diminishes..This was the dilemma with my friends and I, we never had time to catch up and hang out. Alpine Valley Lanes has come into our lives playing the role of savior! Cheap and exciting fun while allowing bonding time, what more can you ask for?
This location isn't the best in terms of lanes and equipment sophistication. But that all becomes irrelevant when you walk away from a night of bowling with money STILL in your pocket! Sure you can venture to Strikes or Country Club, but for $1 a game you can not go wrong on Florin Rd. We typically only come here on Thursdays, the one night we can all meet up. For a $5 Cover Fee per lane, games are only a buck the whole night! Not only that, hot dogs and popcorn are also four quarters a pop! If you are looking to sip on adult beverages, there is a full bar here with cold brews on tap.
This location belongs to the AMF Bowling chain, and also, here's a tip for savings a few extra dollars. If you sign up for the e-mail newsletter, they'll send you weekly All You Can Bowl Specials for $10! You can get these notifications by text or email. Come early or a little later to avoid League Bowling as they take up most of the lanes.
Alpine Valley: opens late and easy on your wallet..get 'em! -

Alpine lanes is being underrated. People have gotten so used to places like Strikes and Country Club that they have forgotten what a "real bowling alley" should be. Alpine Valley lanes is a "real bowling alley" not a family fun center. So, if you are looking to bowl and drink, not play laser tag, skeeball, win tickets for redeemable prizes or any of that other stuff that has nothing to do with bowling than Alpine is the place fo you.

Pretty decent alley considering it's in a pretty damn sketchy location. I mean, there's a store in the same shopping center that advertises their selling of *gold teeth*
They've got a special on Sunday that gives you $1.50 games until noon, good deal! When we went, Mom paid for 2 games but we didn't finish the second one before noon (when they kick you out for the leaguers) and they actually refunded her the cost of the second game! Wow! -

This place is off and on, really inconsistent.
I used to come here all the time; however, things changed. This place has gotten worst over the years and losing popularity. They do have a bar ; however, its not really a good thing in this neck of the city. The place has an arcade and some odds and ends. The lanes are mostly open when I go there. The lanes aren't bad, but they aren't good either. Not much to say about this place.... -

Deep in the heart of the Florin Rd. ghetto, shines a beautiful bowling alley for those who want to flock and throw 15lb balls down a lane at wooden pins. Please, take a sacrifice, and step inside this place as it has 40+ lanes for everyone: children, seniors, teens, couples, you name it.
Ok, enough of that cheezy intro. Alpine is another one of my favorite places to bowl. Though, many of my friends, and I agree with them, say that the lanes here, are very rundown and aren't well maintained. Many cracks and what not. I'm not a big bowler, but I can really tell what they're talking about.
Pricing is based by the AMF company. The normal, 4$ after 5, and 2$ before 5, and 4$ all day on Fri-Sat.
Other than that, it's a nice place. Near a bingo parlor if you want to feel lucky. There's even a store nearby if you want to get yourself a grill like them Franchise Boys. Alright, have fun!
-------------EDIT 6-19-07
I lowered the star RATING of this place because this place currently breaks the rules on "CLOSING" their function.
If the bowling alley closes at 11pm, THEN close at 11PM! It isn't fair that people are still running games, and the lanes shut down! One time a group of us came at 9pm, and they decide to close at 10pm.. that is a bunch of BS...
