I have a steel coffee table that my grandfather welded himself -- really more of an art piece than a practical table. I found it in my dad's garage recently covered in rust and took it upon myself to restore it to its former glory.
Unfortunately, the glass top was misplaced and we had to get a new one. The problem is, since this table was bent into shape by hand, none of the edges were exactly the same.
We took it to Alpine Glass and they were great! They looked over the table and were able to make suggestions as to how thick the glass should be, what color, etc.
They ended up having to hand cut every side of the table (which is hard to do) and the glass top looks AMAZING. Bonus: they had it done in less than a week.
