2 reviews for Alphabet Arm Design
Over the past 2.5 years as a Producer at BzzAgent, I've worked with Alphabet Arm on at least 30 different client projects. I have nothing but great words to say about them!
Each of the designers there are very professional, easy to work with, and very talented. Although we have had our creative disagreements, they are always willing to work to come to the right solution for us and our client. I know that I have imposed very quick, unreasonable turnarounds at least a few times for each designer, but I have never been disappointed by their efficiency and their level of work.
The folks at Alphabet Arm, especially Aaron, the owner, are genuinely passionate, caring people who really want what is best for their clients. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
it pains me to be writing this one star review. I hired alphabet arm based on a recommendation from a friend. I asked them to do some graphic design/logo work for a new website that I have been developing.
They discouraged me from having an in person meeting. This should have been a red flag right away not to deal with them. I went in anyways, and told them what I was looking for. They rushed through the meeting, which did not last more than 15 minutes. in a naive state of optimism, I put down a 50% deposit.
They promised a 2 week turnaround time on the drafts. After 3 weeks they sent me the drafts. They could not have possibly been further from what I was looking for. Despite the fact that I had communicated to them that I was looking for something edgy and raw, what I got back was bland, corporate, and just plain pathetic. It looked like something they probably had one of their interns draft up in 5 minutes on photoshop.
to their credit, they offered to start over and do more drafts (despite the fact that their attitude conveyed that they were "stoked" about their bland logo design and that there was something wrong with me for not loving it). At that point, they had already blatantly disregarded everything I had communicated to them, and I decided to seek out another firm. On account of all the blood, sweat, and tears, their untalented intern spent on the logos, they refused to return the deposit that I had so foolishly put down.
Despite my high hopes, my encounter with Alphabet Arm turned out to be a disaster. So unfortunate. Despite all the wasted time and money, perhaps I learned a valuable lesson of how not to treat your customers arrogantly.
In the end, I hired a freelance graphic designer based out of Philadelphia. He did an outstanding job, paid attention to my needs, and I couldn't be happier.

History
Established in 2001
The early years + work of Alphabet Arm (which refers to an alphabet tattoo wrapped around the founders' arm) was specializing in music-based design. Since then, the award-winning studio's team has expanded and diversified its client base to include advertising and marketing agencies, entertainment venues, entrepreneurial start-ups, higher education institutions, non-profit organizations and retailers.
Meet the Business Owner: Aaron B.
As the founder and senior designer of Alphabet Arm, Aaron oversees a full-service design studio known for its striking logo identity, print designs and marketing solutions. A self-taught artist, Aaron launched his graphic design career while performing in numerous bands, for which he would create a visual image that complimented the band's music. This niche interest in music-based design led to freelance jobs, designing edgy, pop-art logos and marketing materials for Boston-based bands such as Gigolo Aunts and Letters to Cleo. Aaron's bold typography and designs soon attracted a loyal fan base comprised of nationally known musicians, recording studios, radio stations, record stores, artist management companies and record labels. His ability to successfully develop identities rooted in decisive, visual concepts led to the establishment of his own studio in 2001, Alphabet Arm Design.
