    ALPENTAL IS NOT FOR AMATEURS....

They even have signs on the second lift that says "Expert only". The whole terrains are amazing. If you have a chance to go to up, I recommend Snake Dance and International. They are the most difficult run you can find in the area.  I also like here because there are less people on the lift compare to Summit Central and Summit West.

If you are an amateurs, this is a good place to up your skill to the next level. After you get proficient in here, all passes (Stevens, Whistler and Baker) will be really easy for you. You might be intimidated at the beginning, because all the cool people hangs out on Alpental ;)

Alpental is awesome! Enough said compared to the rest of the summit, however, I am very disappointed to find out that they will be closing it for night skiing especially since we have had such great snow recently!  I'm still loyal but wont be able to attend half as much unless they open nights again! :(

My whole body hurts... possibly because I'm old and out of shape, but more likely because I fell on my head when a whole family of skiers fell down right in front of me and I caught and edge trying not to kill them. This is my favorite of the Summit resorts (I haven't been to summit east) because they have a nice beginner and intermediate hill. Also, my friend that used to compete internationally says they have excellent backcountry.   Anyway, I like Mt. Baker and White Pass better, but this place is 60 minutes from my door to the top of the hill. The food sucks, pack a lunch.

You'd be better off going to stevens pass.  the terrain is difficult, the snow is mostly ungroomed,  and , being at a lower elevation, alpental gets less snow than other washington resorts. only 3 chairlifts.  Also, the food sucks.
