  I wish that this establishment had a branch out in the SFO area.  I stopped by after seeing some of the sights in the area and BOY-oh-BOY was I surprised.  I've been to Italy three times and have eaten plenty of gelato.  The pistachio gelato was VERY GOOD.  As an added plus, these folks make the gelato in the facility.  Silver City, I hope you realize how lucky you are.

  We are especially proud of our pistachio gelato because it's made using a pistachio butter-- like peanut butter, but with pistachios instead. It's as pure a pistachio flavor as you are liable to find, but not everybody enjoys it...because it tastes like pistachio *nuts* and not like typical pistachio ice cream (which is often artificially flavored or cut with almonds to save money).
  
  We're the oldest gelato shop in the state of New Mexico, and we work hard at it-- so we especially appreciate it when someone who has experienced gelato elsewhere enjoys what we're offering. Thanks for the kind words.

  A great place to go after eating at one of the downtown restaurants.  I like the pistachio the best.  WIth few exceptions, I would rather come here for dessert than order it at the downtown restaurants (though you can get one at Shevek's across the street).  And the most important thing for Silver City is they are open on Sundays!!!!

  The only reason I give this place a 4 star is because it is a bit pricey. The gelatto is great and the staff were really nice. It's a great place to go on a date. There are games that they have set out for customers to play and it is a great way to get out of the house for cheap entertainment, the games were my favorite part. I really enjoyed it there.

  Actually, our prices are pretty reasonable, especially in comparison with gelato shops elsewhere; our child-size cup is $1.75, our regular is $2.49 and we will put two flavors in for the same price as one. In fact, we haven't raised our prices in over four years-- pretty good for a home-made product using imported ingredients!

  The servers (which I think were the owners) were very nice and knowledgeable. There was 6 of us and they were very patient as we decided and gladly let us try every kind we wanted. It would be a great place to hang out. The atmosphere was very laid back and I noticed a shelf with board games. The gelato was the best I've ever had. I usually don't like gelato, but I really liked theirs. Actually it was hard to decided what to get. I sampled 3 flavors and liked all of them.
