Chances are that if you've been here, you're a fan!  It's a great place to check out the latest flicks while having decent food or even beer and wine.

The prices are reasonable with most options faring below 9 bucks.  It's a little spendy but still cheaper and better than popcorn and a soda at a major theatre.  I enjoyed a Greek salad on my last stop.  The servers work hard to get you your food and drinks quick.  They start taking orders before the previews so it's helpful to review the menu online and/or know what you want in advance.  Most of the other fare is simple sandwiches, fries, burgers and other appetizers.  They also have pizza which is great for a snack in a large party or family.

My only disappointment are the dated half shell 70s style stiff backed chairs.  Perhaps they'll remodel someday and include elevated half shell diner seats.

If you've never been here, check it out!  It's a great place for a family, an afternoon matinee or an evening date.

    This place rocks.

The furniture and decor are kinda 70's.  Reminds me of the 70's theaters I went when I was little that were already starting to crumble and settle into a cool vibe.

Food's a little crusty.. kinda like bowling alley food.  but the BBQ chicken nachos thing works for me.   You just have to suspend any food and beer snobbery and enjoy the availability of what they have.  There's a character to it.  Along with the modest beer selection is also a 3/4 pitcher limit per person.. but I'm fine with that..

..because I've never had annoying experience with the audiences here...lest putting this commendation out in the universe will cause some noisy poopnugget to befall my next experience.

In 2011 I don't normally bother to go to the theater for first run stuff.. but I love it when something cool is playing here.. cuz I'll actually go and its just around the corner.  Staff has always been super cool as well..

..and they have a tiiiite sign out front now.. and a little 3rd theater that feels like you're at some rich person's house watching a film.

I like this place, they have couches and tables and chairs to sit at, yeah it's kind of outdated and boring but it's almost pitch black 95% of the time you're in there so I don't care. They have 3 movies playing at a time, the food isn't too bad either. We usually go on Sunday for lunch, tickets are $5 and lunch is reasonably priced. The food is average to good. I'd recommend it-check it out for a cheap movie ticket, even if you just get a pitcher of beer and some popcorn, it's a good time!

I liked this place before the rehab and I still do after.

Having more theaters (3 now) and a very simple food menu is nice. Who doesn't like being able to drink and eat while watching a movie?

I'm a lush and always order a root beer float, its just tradition now. They serve IBC root beer as an FYI.

Overall, the ticket prices are amazing cheap, food is always consistent, and the seats are comfy - if you are the lucky early ones, grab the super comfy couches!

No time for both dinner AND a movie? Get both!

There are multple places in Orlando where you can do this, but there are a few reasons we continue choosing the Aloma Cinema Grill (ACG) for this experience.

First run movies. The next closest dine-n-watch theater to us isn't going to be showing any of the new blockbusters. That's a great theater, but If I'm in the mood to watch something like The Dark Knight Keeps Rising or or Iron-Man 37 that theater is eliminated.

Cost. Tickets for an evening show are something like $7.50. Compare this to a show during the same time at the Mickey Mouse version, which is $13. The food cost is surprisingly pretty comparable at both places though, with a burger and fries costing $10. The food is usually good, but nothing remarkable. If that was the main thing I was after, I would probably visit one of the other theaters.

It's local. This is only an assumption as it seems like it is. Over the years though the owners have put a lot of money and effort into improving the place, including adding a third screen.

Proximity. This is a pro for me, but may not be so for you. I live 5 minutes from this place. 10 from the indie version and 40-45 from the Mickey Mouse version. That is a huge factor in choosing the ACG.

With 3 stars though, it's not all puppies and perfume.

The people. The people. The People. To be fair to ACG, I should be up-front that 10 years ago a curse was put on me. Ever since then, it's been the absolute rarest of occasions when some completely inconsiderate piece-of-shit, sorry excuse for a human being, has not sat near me. Friends do not understand it. They can go to the movies and have a fine experience, but when they go with me there's always some human waste yapping on their phone, yelling at the screen, and making a case for full-term, 20+ year old abortions. At the ACG, you should expect a bit of noise because of servers having to shuffle around to take orders, deliver food, and what not. It's even fair to expect a bit of whispering between some of the people, as it's a different type of setting. Some people, I assume those who are already bad movie goers, use the setting as an excuse to up their bad behavior. Look around and you'll see people treating the theater like their own trashy living room. Loud conversations, throwing napkins/garbage on the floor, and actually playing games on their phone. Because beer and wine is served, these awful human beings get worse as the movie progresses. I've tried the evil eye, I've tried speaking up. While those actions can often stop a movie monster at a normal theater, at the ACG they are resistant. What's worse is that the employees seem to refuse to speak up to these patrons, and even worse, don't seem to have a cutoff point in serving alcohol to loud drunks. Drinks at a theater is great... Serving drinks to already loud drunks in a theater.... No so much. Bad parents also seem to like this theater because they can bring their kids and think it's OK for them to run around or shout at the screen. If you really don't want to watch over your kids, leave them with a box of snakes as a babysitter. They'll have a blast!

So, while the food could could be better, the sound and video system could be improved, and the servers could use authority to keep bad patrons in line, I do enjoy this theater. Avoid the first weekend a movie is there and pretty much any weekend night, and you'll greatly improve your chances of not sitting near a fuck face. Or, just find out when I am going and go on another night. You'll probably have a lovely experience.

I'll admit, I'm a fan of being able to booze while viewing the latest flicks and this place allows me to do just that!  It is being renovated so don't judge the appearance when you first walk in.

    The menu pros:
    - decent selection of snacks/meals
    - serves beer (by the pint and pitcher)
    - serves wine (by the glass, 1/2 carafe or full carafe)
    - available throughout the movie
    - chicken strips are damn good

    The menu cons:
    - pretty expensive
    - bar food (nothing is healthy here)

The staff are very attentive and charismatic.  It's obvious they enjoy working here.

I like that the theater seating consists of  tables and comfy chairs rather than stadium style.  This is definitely my "go to" theater for mainstream movies and tickets are cheaper than the other theaters :)

With an antsy kid, that until he was 6 couldn't sit through a movie, this place was a godsend for our movie-going family. No you won't get any 3-D versons here (yea! I hate those damned glasses) nor will you get stadium seating, but you will get first run movies at really good prices and some decent food to boot.
Where else can you spend $12 for 3 people to see any afternoon move? Throw in a $12 pizza and thats what we usually pay for the regular movies sans snacks. The chairs are an old fashioned swivel-type and there is room for antsy kids to stand and not bother the people around them. The staff is friendly, and the food is well, better than you would expect. I think the pizza is the best deal because you can feed more than one on the regular or flatbread style (and are a step or two above what you would find in the grocer's freezer). Any beer or wine snob would turn their nose up at the limited selected, but hey, there is beer and wine! They have popcorn, but none of the traditionally movie candy. However, there is a Walgreen's across the street that sells the giant boxed movie candy for about $1 a piece that fits very nicely into a purse. Shhhh, I didn't tell you this.
Aloma Cinema Grill is really our family's theater of choice-albeit we do live about 5 minutes away, but even if we lived further we would still probably go here. I ended up at the regular theater not to long ago and almost had a heart-attack paying $11.50 for matinee tickets for a (3-D) movie.

This used to be known as Aloma Cinema Drafthouse, but they dropped the drafthouse and added Grill.

It's not a bad option for when you want to do 'dinner and a movie' all in one.  The menu has really basic (what most would call 'pub') fare, burgers, sandwiches, nachos, etc.  They do serve alcohol, but they cut you off after a certain point.
For instance, myself and 2 friends went to see a movie and ordered a pitcher of beer.  When we tried to order a second one, the waiter told us we couldn't have a full pitcher because there was cut off.. no more than 2 drinks per person.

Sooo... yeeeah, that sucked.  They do have popcorn, but no candy.

We've been a few times. The place is nice and clean, but a seemingly odd shaped theater. The matinee prices are good, and it's a nice detour from the average theater.

The food is just OK at best. Being a theater, it's really expensive, but knowing that going in helps a bit. We've had nachos, popcorn, cheese sticks, fries and beer. More deep fried goodness!

It's average fare at an average theater.

I can't compare it to the Enzian as the Enzian is more of an arthouse type theater.

Went to the movies today to see Inception at 3:30 PM and for two tickets it was only 8$!!!! Pitcher of soda (6 glasses) was only 9$.

A place where you can order pitchers of beer/soda and sit in a love seat with your loved one for 8$ awesome!

Also, the renovations will be over soon, and they will soon be adding a third screen!

This is the pub version of Enzian...I like this place because, like Enzian, there is table seating and food and beverages are offered while you enjoy the movie. The food is okay, its typical pub fare - burgers, nachos, wings, pizza, etc. And of course, they offer popcorn.  Beer and wine are served here - by glass or pitcher/carafe.

The theater offers recently released movies. I think they are already showing SATC II here. It is rather small, so get here early for a show to ensure you will get a ticket and good seating.

As other yelpers have mentioned, this place is good to keep in your back pocket when you're stuck for something to do on a rainy afternoon or evening.  Because it sits back in a Public plaza I would imagine that most Winter Parkers don't really know it's there.  And had I not stumbled upon it myself, I'm sure I would have kept going without realizing its existence as well.

For anyone who really loves going to the movies, I'm sure it will be a pleasant experience for you since you not only get to see a new movie but you get to order real food too.  Not necessarily gourmet eats, but the kind of food you save for the weekend.  For example they offer many fried finger foods and yummy dips as appetizers.  The nachos ($10.50) are comprised of chili, chips and all the normal fixins'.  They also do All American Burgers for $9.50 which seems awful high to me.  And a 12" pizza for $12.75.  They have 2 salad options and do desserts if you have room leftover.  If you're thirsty and legally able to drink they offer 4 brands of draft beer and 4 wine choices.  Something that most theaters can't offer you.

As far as the movie choices go, they do feature what's current and right now, they are offering a kid's flick and an adult one.  The daily showtimes are what you'd expect, a 7pm and a 9pm.  Weekends bring matinees which start mid-afternoon.  Ticket prices weren't too steep either.  For kids it's $5.50 and for adults it's $7.50.  If you are a senior citizen and/or a student they offer discounted rates as well as special matinee pricing.

Very cool place.  Students get in for $5.50!  Pitchers were a little overpriced at $10.50, but it was still a great time.

Two theaters, nice relaxing atmosphere, and plenty of space.

This place is a lot of fun.  It's a bit old and not too fancy, but the facility is solid and the food is good.  I've had great wings here (on par with any real wing place, and with lots of nice crunchy celery on the side), and the beer is served with frosty cold mugs.  It is rarely packed, so you don't really have issues with waiting in line or finding a seat.  Love it!

Not bad, but I would recommend the Enzian over on 17-92. The seats in this place will have you aching an hour in, and I didn't really like the table set up. But the movie tickets are actually cheaper than normal movie theaters, and the food isn't too bad either.

Aloma Cinema Grill is a great little secret of Winter Park. It has been around for just shy of forever and has not changed much (but in a good way). The ticket prices are very reasonable and all they ask is that you get dinner there. The menu was just changed but from the looks of it tonight is very similar to its predecessor. You can get pizza, chicken fingers, sandwiches, soda, or beer here all brought to your table, yes table, by a staff that understands the need for speed so as not interrupt the movie.  While I would not say the food is over the top good, I would say that for something that is priced well and helps to make dinner and a big screen movie a reality I am always happy. They have two main theaters and a brand new third smaller one as well that shows late run movies from what I can tell. This is a great place to take the family as seating is all table style so you can have your own little area to enjoy the movie and share your snacks and drink without the fear of tripping over the guy not willing to move his feat and tossing your diet coke over the party of kids one row up (sorry, bad bitter memories). If you are in the mood for a different movie going experience that will allow you to take a date out and get a full evening for the same price that you would normally get a bucket of soda and some junior mints for, Aloma Cinema is a great idea to change it up.
