Aloha both packed and moved us from a 2 story house on a hellacious driveway to a one story house 10 miles away.

The packing was done one day, and the move the next. They were prompt in arriving, and flexible about loading the truck from one house, and waiting until the closing was done on both houses to move the stuff into the next house.

Brian, Daniel, and another guy whose name I can't remember did a fantastic job. Nothing was broken. There were some tricky points to the move, such as tall bookcases going into a room from a narrow hallway. They handled everything beautifully.

Plus, they are very kind people. I recently had knee surgery, and they gave me a lot of good advice about how to get back into shape. These people are athletes!

    Thanks so much!

I had planned all along to have my son, boyfriend and me move from my two bedroom apartment to another apartment in the same unit.  Sounded real easy.  The day before I was to move I woke up in the middle of the night realizing I didn't know what I was thinking.  The very next morning I call Aloha Moving and Otis (I think) was able to fit me in with just one days notice.

I was lucky enough to have Brian and Frenchy  to move me.  They were there ahead of schedule and jumped right in.  It was professionally done, quick and painless. They both went the extra yard to insure my furniture was padded and safe, the really heavy pieces were handled efficiently and quickly on the truck.  I realized I was in good hands.

Long story short I would highly recommend Aloha Moving.  The were very professional from scheduling to actual moving.  Their rates were reasonable. Everyone was great!!

This is the BEST there is the moving business. They were the only consistent and good thing in purchasing our new home. We were moving from an apartment to a one story home in Austin. Of course when we were suppose to close, it didn't. And let's just say it went like that 5 times. Each time I called to reschedule Eric was so gracious and kept allowing me to extend and extend. He reassured me that other people had experienced this in buying a home and it would close eventually.  When we finally got a signing date, which was Friday morning, I called Eric and he got our family moved the next day on Saturday - a week before Christmas.  I love them. They are honest and genuine and the workers were super friendly and fun to be around.

If you want a company that still knows what intergity is then look no further than Aloha Moving.

My wife's favorite line is she has never lived anywhere long enough to paint. We have moved 5 times since 1999, and feel we have a pretty firm grasp on what is and what is not a good moving company. Aloha sent us 4 gentlemen, and i do mean gentlemen to move jaded, poorly prepared customers. When Daniel, Brian, Cory, and Ryan showed up we knew instantly that the move was going to be the best yet. Not only were they friendly and neat, they got us organized in record time. These guys really do think on their feet and their collective experience was clearly evident. No damage, no drama, no breaks, these guys just plain worked smart and hard.

No question that it was the most pleasant move ever!

We hired these guys and they couldn't have been better!.  Daniel Brian and Jason made a very rushed move feel as pleasant as possible.  My wife and I were really stressed out bc we had to move from our home of 6 years with only 5 days notice.  These guys showed up on time and worked into the night to do what turned out to be a much bigger job than I had anticipated.  They were professional and courteous.  I can only say good things about them and my wife and I give them our highest recommendation.

For our recent move, we used Aloha to pick up our furniture and transport it to the new house.  After searching on Yelp, we chose Aloha based on their great reviews.

They were fantastic!  Brian and Daniel handled our move and we can't speak highly enough of these guys.  They did an excellent job, were courteous and respectful, and extremely hard working.  We moved from a 2 story house into another 2 story house, and there was no damage to the furniture or either home.

We feel lucky to have stumbled across Aloha and these 2 guys, and we highly recommend them for your move!

I hired Aloha Movers TWICE already!

My lease was up and I wanted to move somewhere better. My mother and father have always helped me move and refused to hire professionals. Unfortunately, they are getting older and lifting a king mattress up two flights of stairs isn't the easy task it used to be. I did a quick google search for movers and read some pretty awesome reviews about these guys, so I called them the next day and scheduled my move.

According to my mother, I was moving from "one crappy apartment to another." Unfortunately, she was very right. I needed to move out two weeks later, because the apartment was in completely unlivable condition. I called Eric basically the day before I needed to move. He had me completely covered which was a huge relief to me.

The service is absolutely phenomenal. I've never seen anyone so happy to move grossly heavy objects before... They actively tried to make the move the easiest they possibly could on us. They also indulged my mother's humor... which is incredibly sweet to say the least. :)

I very genuinely recommend this company to any and everyone!

Updating my review.  Josh saw my review and promptly called me, apologizing profusely and asking for a chance to make it right.  He was apparently never informed of the issues.  Aloha sent out a professional furniture repairman who spent about 2 hours and completely fixed all the problems with the pool table.  He was very polite, did an excellent job, and I was really impressed that they took the time to make it right.  Josh and I had a great discussion about their service and I got the strong impression that they strive really hard to be a "5 star business."  I'm so glad he called and gave them the chance to make my pool table look awesome again!!!

I can now highly recommend Aloha Moving.  I'm ridiculously impressed at how important good customer service is to them.  Kudos to them, and thanks for making it right.

I hired these guys to move my belongings out of my pod. One problem. I didn't leave the key to the lock on the pod with my girlfriend who was there to open it for them. I was out of town. They were more than willing to reschedule and not charge me for the trip out there. It got done on the reschedule and they were fast and careful too. Their rates were very reasonable. Everyone we dealt with was great. I will definitely use these guys again.

Everyone has horror stories about moving - too expensive, damaged goods, rude movers.

Lucky me - never had any of these because I have used Aloha Moving for the past 5 moves. Always professional, always on time - courteous, helpful, and hard working.

I don't even hesitate recommending them when friends move - it's automatic: "Call Aloha!"

I used Aloha on a recommendation from my friend's boyfriend. I'm glad I did.

I called several places (based on the few reviews on yelp). I won't say bad things about other places.

I will say, though, that I did call one guy (actually two guys and their truck) and I seemed to be bothering him, when all I wanted was a basic quote (is it gonna cost me $700? Is it gonna cost $200 per hour?) That's all I want.

I used another service's website for a free quote (I don't know, Lieutenant Dan said it was some sort of fruit company or somethin').  Still have not heard from them.

I did a free quote assessment on the Aloha website. It said they'd contact me in about 4 hours, unless it was toward the end of the day or during non-business hours.  Just a few minutes later, my phone rang (actually, I missed the call) and I had an email quote in my inbox.

We finally talked on the phone and Jarritt gave me a one hour window. ONE HOUR! That's awesome! He also said they'd call when they were 30 minutes out. That gave me time to get some coffee and meet them at the storage unit where my stuff was being held hostage.

I let them in, opened the door and then left so I could get home. I wasn't even to my house yet when they called and said they were done and on their way!

My stuff was pretty messy from being cooped up so long, so they put it in the garage. They were all set to set the stuff up, though! They hooked up my washer and dryer and even ran a cycle to see if it worked. It did (up until just after they left when a hose started leaking).

I didn't have all that much stuff, but it was big bulky stuff. The two guys were very personal and friendly. Hopefully I won't need to move anytime soon, but if I did, I'd use them. Or at least recommend them.

Aloha Moving is AWESOME!  You don't pay much, but you get great service.  I had used them several times, but this last one was the best.  They moved my entire downtown apartment of WHITE furniture, glass and delicate belongings into my husbands house.  In the rain.

Not only were they incredibly careful with my furniture (OK, so I'm picky) they were very careful about the floors in our house and didn't scratch a thing.  Sure, you expect all this from movers but when do you really get it?

HERE IS THE MOST AMAZING PART: At one point one of the guys slipped on the metal door jamb because his shoes were wet from the pouring rain.  His dolly had an antique chest (thanks, mom) which is probably one of the nicest things that I own.  This INCREDIBLE, COMMITTED, FABULOUS MAN THREW HIMSELF UNDER THE DOLLY LEGS FIRST TO SAVE IT FROM SMASHING ON THE HARDWOOD FLOOR.  I am not kidding!  He looked like he might have gotten really hurt, but he played it off like it was no big deal!  I wanted to cry- I was so thankful!  He kinda limped around for a few, repeating over and over that he was 'fine'.  I'm pretty sure he was unable to walk the next day, but he just went on moving the rest of my stuff like it never happened! ! !

So there you have it- simply the best movers I have could ever dreamed of.  Hire them, tip them and rest easy that your stuff is in great hands!

    Best. Movers. Ever.

I have hired movers on several occasions and hands down these guys are the best I have ever worked with.  They hire high quality employees, no shadiness factor I have seen with other movers,  very positive and friendly!:)

The day of the move they arrived on time, and knocked out my 3/2.5 2 story house from start to finish and into the new place across town in 3 hours flat.  They moved my oversized couch, table and bed fawlessly with no complaints or damage.  The price was also very competetive with other companies.

I HIGHLY reccoomend using Aloha Moving. Aloha!

Aloha Moving is pretty good. They provided an estimate based on input from me, I figured my input wasn't that great, so I thought that it would be double the estimate. I was exactly right, it was double.

The guys were very friendly, nice and professional. My only complaint is that there were only two of them. I kinda expected with a mover that there may be more guys to make it go faster.

From start to finish these guys were the best.  John showed up at my house to give me an estimate and explained that while they may not be the cheapest movers around, they pay their employees well, and ensure that they have a staff who will take care of the items that they move.  The estimate was a very fair price.  Aloha also has a ton of boxes that they are willing to lend you for your move (as long as you leave a small deposit and return them in good condition) which, as you can imagine, is a real treat when you are preparing to move.

On moving day they called to say they were coming a little bit early.  The move when smoothly, and nothing broke or got scraped.  The guys were happy to place items where I wanted them in my new house, and they even helped me with some things I couldn't do myself (do to my having a new baby to carry around during the move).

I discovered these guys here on Yelp, and definitely recommend you use them as well.

I first "met" Aloha Movers when I was moving into my last office space.  Alas, they were not who I hired, but my neighbor, moving in at the same time, hired them.  What a difference I saw!  I watched longingly at the professionalism, politeness, and speediness abounded on his move while I was stuck with some of the absolute worst movers I think the Universe could ever create-- nothing you wanted in a mover, and everything you didn't... from foul language to broken belongings, to slower than snail's pace activity.

So, when last weekend I needed to move into my new office home 3 years after my first observation of Aloha, they were the first and only movers I called.  They arrived on time, took incredibly good care of our belongings, were very conscientious of the historic landmark building that I was moving out of, and even managed to safely and successfully fit pieces of furniture into the elevator that no mover had ever been able to fit before.  We were all delighted that they were able to avoid a 6-floor walk down with 2 out of the 3 suspected "stair move" pieces.

The guys they sent were polite and amicable, and they got the job done in under the time estimated for our move.  Every time I called or emailed the office leading up to the move I got immediate response.

I'd hire them again and again, and can personally endorse them as a safe, polite, reliable-- and dare I say *enjoyable* part of any move.

    Highly recommended.

I filled out their online form and I got quoted a price which was less than the competitors.  When the movers arrived that morning, there was some discussion because there were some items missing.

We spent 1/2 hour discussing and bartering, I will admit that they stuck to agreed price.  But I'm not sure what happened. Some of the items that he said wasn't on the list was on my confirmation list.  Others weren't but they weren't major items (ladder, office chair, lamp).  Having moved 5 times in the last 5 years, I have a list and did put those items on there so I'm not sure what happened.  I will acknowledge that I didn't go over their confirmation very well.  Had I checked it closely and called them back, I would have not hired them.  Turns out they are more expensive than the other movers even with less items.

    Then the move begins.

I was in another room dealing with one mover when the other comes in and tells me that a piece of my furniture is falling apart.  It wasn't before the move but I went ahead and signed the release form because at that point I was stuck.  I had to get out of my rental and knew I couldn't get another mover to come over at the end of the month to get my furniture.

The rest of the move went smoothly.  I went ahead and gave them a good rating on their survey because they did keep to the agreed upon price.

Now, it's several months since the move. I've moved my furniture around and noticed a couple of things:
    Tables and lamps chipped
    TV stand barely stands up
    Wood furniture scratched.
These are things that weren't obvious at the final walk through because the lamp may be turned a certain way or the scratch would be on the side that against the wall and with rearranging the furniture, the scratch becomes obvious.

By the time the movers got to the rental, I had 95% of the small stuff already moved.  They only had to move the larger items less than 3 miles down the road.  For all the moves that I've done over the last dozen years, and one of those was 1/2 way across the country, this was the worst  in regards to having my things arrive in one piece.  And this was the simplest move of all.

I have had some bad moving experiences in the past... and I mean BAD! Items lost, items destroyed, delivery dates delayed well over a month, claims representatives that wouldn't return calls, pickup dates that end up 24 hours (or more) late, the list goes on and on. I had used both smaller moving companies as well as the big van lines, and the results were just about the same. Horrible.

When it came time to relocate within the Austin city limits, I looked through Yelp reviews and ended up getting quotes from several different local movers. We went with Aloha, as they came across as the most professional, prompt and had a very reasonable quote. On moving day, Craig and Jason showed up on time and got right to it. The weather was not pleasant for a move, as it was pouring outside the entire day, yet Craig and Jason rocked right along. They were both incredibly professional and friendly, making this by far the smoothest move I've ever experienced.

If you're looking for an Austin moving company, I would most definitely recommend Aloha. I am not in a hurry to move again, but whenever that day comes, I'll be using them again. Many thanks for Craig and Jason for taking such good care of us!

I still can't believe it...I FINALLY found what must be one of the few GOOD moving companies in town!   After decades of bad experiences with movers whose mottos appear to be, "We take pride in not showing up," or "Us Cavemen--We Break Stuff", or, "Bait & Switch Movers--Quote Low Upfront Price, Then Soak You For Big Bucks Later", these guys were the real deal, praise God!

Yes, there was a LOT of haggling with Josh because they are not cheap.  Their hourly rate is $150.  My feeling is that anyone who pays movers hourly deserves the sight of guys sitting on their behinds taking endless smoke breaks, potty breaks, fast-food-breaks, and "I don't feel like workin'" breaks.

In fact, when Josh said they paid movers $150/hour, I yelled, "Hey, I guess I'm in the wrong professsion--instead of being a lowly $35/hour engineer, I oughta be a $50/hour MOVER, sign me up!"

    Kidding aside, they...

    1. Showed up on time.
    2. Didn't complain.
    3. Followed instructinos.
    4. Asked reasonable questions (NOT "Hey, this is cool, my 3rd cousin's 5th ex-husband had one, where did you get it", but things like, "this box is leaking, would you like me to re-box it?")
    5. DIDN"T ask nosy personal questions or make comments about my stuff (I hate that--I don't pay movers for conversation.)
    6. DIDN'T BREAK STUFF (a first for any movers with me!)
    7. Got the job done in a reasonable amount of time (another first--I'm usually standing out in the driveway of the new house at 3am, dead-tired, still supervising struggling movers.)
    8.  Did NOT jack up the bill above the initial quote (another first!)

I DEFINITELY recommend them, and I will call them in the highly unlikely event that I ever move again.

We just got done moving into our first home and we were blown away with the service from Aloha Moving!

First off, the office admin Josh was great.  He called me back after my caller-id hit his office phone to make sure I found a mover.  I hadn't found one at the time so I was really grateful for his call.  He also helped me get detailed list together of all my items.

On the moving day, we had two great guys, John and Dave help us out.  They were exactly on time, and called when they were 20 minutes out to give us warning.  I was really blown away with not only their speed and professionalism, but also the fact that they brought little odds and ends to help like giant saran-wrap for our flat screen tvs and leather couches.  They worked really fast (by the hour) and told us how much they appreciated our hospitality.

I'm glad I went with these guys and I would recommend them to anyone!

I would never use or refer this company to anyone, especially anyone with valuable pieces of furniture.  Aloha moving was sent a detailed list of items to be moved.  Apparently, either the person reading the list did not pay any attention, or ignored the details of the list.  The company sent only two movers when customer was told three would be sent at the time  of the move.  In addition, the trailer was entirely to small to accommodate the entire load in one trip, consequently, having to make two trips.  Initially, the move was quoted to be completed in 4.5 hours, thus actually being 14.5 hours and being charged $1500.00 vs the $450.00 on the initial quote..  Movers began drinking beer at some point  in this 14.5 hour move and stated that it is not an uncommon practice for the company to low ball bids to their customers.  After communicating the concerns to the management , he was  rude and not willing to take any responsibility.  In addition, very high value items were damaged and management seemed annoyed at customers complaint.  The manager relayed that the "movers" themselves pay for any damages, thus "the company" has no responsibility.

Every step of the way, they were easily accessible via phone and professional. We've had Aloha out twice, both for in home moving. We had wood floors installed in 3 of the 4 upstairs rooms, and had to move all of our furniture into the one room, and then back again. Big hassle. But, Aloha was great. The guys showed up on time, even called to let us know they were coming both times, didn't scratch anything (HUGE plus), and were totally pleasant to deal with. The two movers who came to move our furniture back after the floor installation was finished were extraordinarily patient with my pregnant, scatterbrained self as I tried to decide (admittedly at the wrong time) where I wanted things to go the second time around.
I'd forgotten about reviewing them until last week, when I decided I wanted to move a big bed upstairs. Called them for a quote, and was told they had a $200 dollar minimum, but, they were kind enough to recommend a different company that does smaller in home moves. Loved 'em! If we ever move again, we'll most certainly use Aloha, and we recommend them to all of our friends.

Thank you Aloha moving!  I was directed to these guys from my fellow Yelpers, so thought it was fitting that they got the honor of being my first Yelp review.  Ryan and Lewis were true professionals.  They arrived right on time,  quickly moved my furniture with great attitudes and even took the extra step to haul some unquoted boxes and provide decorating ideas.  Good as it gets... I've had some unpleasant moving experiences, but this one gave me hope for the future.  I would highly recommend this group!

By far the most efficient movers we had.  They were better than the original guys who installed the tread climber for us in the first place.   Ryan and Jason did a great job.  We only had to move a 325lb tread climber downstairs many stairs to our basement room, but they were fast and didn't damage a thing. Thanks!

Can't agree more with the rave reviews. They went above and beyond, even waiting as I had to make an extra trip for a missing piece of my bed -- and still put it together for me!

Aloha is a very professional organization.  The movers arrived on time and took great care not to damage property.  The rates are reasonable.  I recommend them highly.

We used Aloha last week when we moved into our new house.  They arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and took good care of our belongings.  They were no more or less expensive than any of the other moving companies that I got quotes for.  However, they were very responsive when I contacted them and the guy I spoke with at the office was very friendly.  I was a bit annoyed that they charged me extra for my bed frame and because some of my boxes were bigger than I said they would be on the quote.  However they only charged me an extra $10 so I suppose it could have been worse.  I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

Our moving process was a piece of cake with Aloha Moving.  John and Roy were an extremely efficient team.  They were on time, quick, and extremely careful with all our belongings.  Their online system helped us keep an up to date inventory without any surprise charges.  We would definitely use Aloha Moving next time we move!

These are THE rock stars of movers!  I have moved cross country twice, in and around town a multitude of times and have never had such a great experience!  They took the headache out of moving.  Ryan, Roy, Jason and Corey saved me from the stress that normally accompanies a big move.  Fast, friendly, courteous and rather funny, too.  Reasonable rates, arrived right on schedule and didn't break a single thing!  Wooo, hoooo!  I won't dread moving so much in the future know that I can always call these guys.  Book Aloha for your next move with total confidence!
