Don't walk here. Run. The best way to escape the heat on a crowded summer day in Magic Kingdom is to get a pineapple dole whip float and take it to the air conditioned shops around Adventureland. Its just so good and they're usually pretty generous with the amount you get.
They have pineapple spears, juice, and froyo. Ice cream comes in orange and vanilla flavors and they do Coke floats too. -
Review from Rayni K.
Indulge. Just do it. Unless it's freezing out. Actually, even then. No matter what, you should stop by and get some ice cream here when you're in Magic Kingdom.
The pineapple swirl is worth the wait and every penny. Personally, the float is a little too much pineapple for me, but the swirl is just perfect. They give you a good amount of ice cream, too, so it's not a skimp in any way.
There is usually a line at this place, especially on warmer days. Be sure to look around it, though, as there are actually two lines and most people only see one so the other tends to be shorter. -

Yeah, so in my past review of Aloha Isle at Disneyland, I didn't say too much, and I didn't have to.
Aloha Isle sells Dole Whips and Dole Whip floats. The Dole Whip float may very well be the best frozen dessert ever created. Pineapple ice-cream in pineapple juice. It is amazing and if you haven't yet tried one, you have to. This earns Aloha Isle 5 stars.
But wait, there's more. I don't recall orange ice cream being an option last time I was there, but it is now. I was afraid that I'd get pineapple poisoning from having too many pineapple Dole Whip floats, and decided to try the Dole Whip float with orange ice cream one time and it was great -- just one more reason that this place is awesome!
My wife is a heathen and doesn't like the pineapple ice cream as much. However, she swears by Dole Whip floats with pineapple juice and vanilla ice cream. I wouldn't know.
Bottom line: Stop reading this and get a Dole Whip float. Now. -

The Dole Whip pineapple and vanilla soft serve swirl is very tasty! I haven't seen pineapple soft serve anywhere else (granted, I haven't been looking very hard... ok, ok... at all), so I always make sure I go to Aloha Isle whenever I'm at the Magic Kingdom.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't really like the pineapple float (soft serve in pineapple juice). To me, pineapple juice is too acidic and ruins the soft serve.
If you are on the Disney dining plan, I believe this counts as a snack.
Fun fact: one time around the holidays, I was given a pink-and-light-green pineapple and vanilla swirl. I was confused for a second and then realized it was supposed to be red and green. -

The not-so-hidden amazing treat that every single person NEEDS to eat when they are at the Magic Kingdom.
Who can resist pineapple juice with fabulous pineapple soft serve?! HEAVEN in a cup!!
Having just tried both the Disneyland and Disney World versions within a few weeks of each other, I can say that I honestly think the WDW is slightllyyyyyyy better. Barely different texture and more pineapple flavor in the Florida version. The dole whip floats are by far bigger in Florida too so that gives them a little bonus.
Even more fun? During the Christmas time they dye the pineapple soft serve green and the orange soft serve red. Cute touch!Listed in: Disney Foodie Fun

Aloha Isle is by far and above the best snack stand in the Magic Kingdom. Really simple choices: Fresh Pineapple Spire, Pineapple soft serve ice-cream, or Pineapple float concoctions. All are worth the wait that you will most certainly face at any given time or day. Aloha Isle is located just inside Adventure Land and across from the Swish Family Roberson Tree House. It is a must do if you're a fan of either ice-cream or Pineapple or a fun and unique refreshment that you "Cant Find" anywhere else I've traveled. Truly a One of a Kind. My only word of caution comes from the fact that Disney is a Non Smoking park except in designated areas and one of those designated area's just so happens to be just across from Aloha Isle. There would be plenty of seating area for those in need of a place to sit and enjoy there Aloha snacks, however over 1/2 the spaces and bench area is filled with smokers. That's Ok I guess, so just take your wonderful new found best desert/snack for a little walk down in front of the Castel. For those who are people watchers, this is a better spot to sit, rest, watch all kinds of folks, and savor that cool Pineapple refreshment. Just make sure to gather a handful of napkins, it gets sticky.

pineapples!! (it is sponsored by Dole)
oranges...vanilla...
pineapple juice covered in pineapple ice cream !!! or vanilla or orange....
either way one of the best snacks to cool off in the magic kingdom on a warm day in florida....
just over the bridge across from the tree house from swiss family robinson...
and just around the corner from Pirates of the Carribean so you dont have to worry about getting scurvy while at Disneyworld.... (google scurvy-its not fun to have) -

This is the only place I saw at DisneyWorld that was selling Dole Whip! It's a stand not too far from Cinderella's Castle. The line wasn't terribly long, but that could be because I went in January. They even let you have a combo of two flavors when you order your swirl or float (which is basically a swirl with juice on the bottom). I had a vanilla and pineapple swirl and the flavors went very well together! It's slightly tangy, but not too sugary, and it just melts in your mouth! This is a must stop if you're at Magic Kingdom!!

Like the Dole Whip at Disneyland, but possibly better because here they have Orange, Vanilla and Swirl flavors!! I can't say if they were good or not though because we all got the classic Pineapple.
No one can resist the Dole Whip. My friend wasn't very impressed at first, but she wanted to come back for another later in the afternoon, so I guess she is a convert! I'm not sure if the WDW one is really bigger because it looked just like the Disneyland one to me. The reviewers must have been smaller when they ate the WDW one so it just seemed biggger :) -

I'm confused! Where's Aloha Island?
I found the little Aloha stand but I failed to find Aloha Island!
Was it located in another land or something?
Disney World is just too damn big!
Aloha Isle is Magic Kingdom's version of Disneyland's Tiki Juice Bar. And just like the Tiki juice bar, Aloha is located in Adventureland, not far from the Tiki Room.
Just like the Tiki Juice Bar, Aloha's specialty is Dole Pineapple frozen yogurt and fresh pineapple juice. However, Aloha Isle does offer a few goodies that the Tiki Bar doesn't. Aloha also has vanilla frozen yogurt, apple juice, root beer floats, Coke floats, hot chocolate and a few other small snacks.
Since I go to Disneyland all the time and can enjoy a Pineapple float whenever I get the urge, while at Aloha I decided to try their Pineapple float with a combination of pineapple and vanilla frozen yogurt, while my wife got a root beer float.
The first thing I noticed is Aloha's floats are MUCH bigger than the ones at Disneyland (everything is bigger at WDW). As far as the pineapple juice and pineapple frozen yogurt go, they taste exactly the same, delicious. In all honesty, I enjoyed my mix of pineapple and vanilla frozen yogurt as much as the original. My wife's root beer float was also tasty.
Just like the Tiki Juice bar, these treats are yummy, cheap (actually, cheaper than Disneyland), and super refreshing on a warm day. A must try if you're a fan of pineapple.Listed in: When it's cold outside....., Walt's World!

Its not fair!!!!!! I want the Dole Whip from MK!!!
Growing up in Los Angeles, I went to Disneyland at least once a year since I was a tot. I love the Dole Whip and got it every time!!
When I was doing my research before I went to MK, I found out that they have more than just the pineapple flavor as they do in original Disneyland?? I HAD to try it!!
One has a choice in the Dole Whip flavor at MK: Vanilla, Pineapple, Orange, Vanilla/Pineapple Swirl and Vanilla/Orange Swirl!!! SO NOT FAIR!!!
So, while I was there, I had to at least try the Orange and Vanilla/Pineapple. I was in heaven!! I had 2! teehee

Stop reading this, and go get yourself a damn pineapple float. It's as awesome as people say it is. Pineapple swirl on top of pineapple juice. Delicious. Line was a little ridiculous (and there are two!), but so worth it. We also tried the orange swirl on top of pineapple juice, but that didn't wow me like the pineapple. Go!

I need to admit: I am one of those Disney Nerds who has been to Disney at least once a year since I've been alive. That being said, I feel like I completely knew the ins and outs of Magic Kingdom. My go to dessert over the years was always a Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich... But the past few years I've been disappointed as practically all of the vendors stopped selling this treat.
The past two times I've been to Disney I found this little gem tucked away in Adventureland. Aloha Isle offers a very fresh fruit ice cream (offering plain vanilla, orange, or pineapple). You can either get a soft serve (even mixing flavors if you choose!) or try a float with fruit juices!
I found that the soft serve is just the right amount of sweet without being overbearing, whereas the float was a tad too much for me to handle.
This treat is definitely worth a stop on a hot day as you make your way to one of your favorite rides! Not as classic as a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Sandwich, but definitely tasty! -

Dole whip is to die for, it's the only treat I look forward to in Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom. DH had never tried it before and was addicted at first bite! I'm a purist and get pineapple. Seems that the serving is larger than I remember at Disneyland. Enough to share if you want :)

Most amazing dessert ever! I love fruit and I love ice cream, the combination blows my mind! Its just the right amount of sweet to challenge the same amount of tart. I had the pineapple float with half pineapple and half vanilla soft serve. Delicious. Now I'm craving Florida just for the float! Ugh, whyyyy can't they just have it here??? I suppose its a new way to have floats, so bye-bye orange cream, I've found a new love!
P.s. It was really funny to walk around and watch the children's eyes as we passed get big and round as they started to beg their parents :-) I'd be jealous too and I'm so much bigger than them! Hahaha. I'm pretty jealous of anyone whose had one more than once!Listed in: Coffee & Sweets

This is a great place for a snack while in the Magic Kingdom. I have never seen pineapple and vanilla soft swirl ice cream before, but it is literally the most refreshing and tasty treat ever. Try it and you will be happy.

Aloha Isle is known for their Dole Whips. I had to try one a couple trips ago because Bob from the Dis Unplugged always raved about them. If you love pineapple, oh my you will just die for this drink. I like pineapple but don't LOVE it. It was way too much pineapple for me. However, everytime I pass Aloha Isle, I think lovingly of Bob. :)
Service is the Disney standard! -

I have been to Disney... at least 5 or 6 times over the last 20 years. I had never gotten a Dole Whip in all the times I have been here. Based on some recommendations, I decided to try one of these treats.
I am literally KICKING myself for never going here before. The soft serve pineapple Dole Whip is freakishly fantastically amazing (I also saw a machine for it in the quick serve location at the Polynesian resort). I had to make a special trip here to come back again to get this ambrosia at least twice.
I had a Dole Whip float and a Dole Whip by itself (both pineapple).
I liked the Dole Whip by itself best without the pineapple juice. Both were excellent, but I was at the park on some of the hottest days of the year. When they put on the soft serve (non-dairy pineapple ice cream.. yum!), they really swirl it high. The heat of the day made it melt really fast and it started to overflow the container within about 5 minutes with all the pineapple juice in it for the float. I wound up getting sticky juice all over my hands as it melted because I couldn't eat it fast enough and yes, I was shoveling it in.
When I got it again, I just got the soft serve by itself. It also melted quickly, but was better contained in the cup.
This stuff is great. Go. Get It. Now. It was better than the desserts at many of the restaurants.
Oh... and did I mention, it was only about $3 for the soft serve and about $4 for the float? It's one of the best and tastiest deals in the park without question.Listed in: 2010 Food that Made Me Happy

This is a Dole-sponsored ice cream vendor located in Magic Kingdom's Adventureland. The Dole pineapple soft serve is--ahh!--absolutely delicious. I have a tradition of getting the pineapple ice cream right before the fireworks begin. Pure bliss.
Aloha Isle also sells chips, drinks, and a couple other flavors of ice cream. But--seriously--don't go to a Dole shop without getting something pineapple-flavored.
If you seek a scrumptious snack at Magic Kingdom, this place is definitely worthy of your attention. -

This place has one of my wife's favorite treats, the Dole Whip. It's a pineapple flavored soft serve. And surpringly even though I'm allergic to dairy there is "essentially no dairy" in the Dole Whip (it has casein but it's apparently not enough to make me sick). It's a very delicious treat to cool you off on a hot day, but their tables are just seats in the shade with a few fans, so it's still kind of hot.
Apparently this place is one of 4 places to get the Dole Whip (here, the Polynesian Resort, Disneyland and the Dole plantation in Hawaii).
I really liked the Dole Float because for 1 additional dollar you get a nice cold cup of pineapple juice under your soft serve and depending on the person you get making yours it can be almost 25-50% bigger than the ones they put in the small cups.
If you are just melting in the Florida heat and need a break definitely make a stop here. The line might be long but it's worth it. -

This is a great place to get a semi-healthy alternative when you have a sweet tooth! Essentially, Disney mixes fresh fruit/juice with some fruit flavored frozen yogurt. My personal fave is the "Pineapple Float" Pineapple + Pineapple frozen yogurt... Mmm heavently.
They have pineapple spears, regular coke/root beer floats for the not-so adventurous... AND you can count this as one of your snacks! YAY! -
Review from Diane C.
As a person who grew up going to Disneyland, I grew up on this stuff. I was so happy to see the same pineapple wedges and juice here!
After walking around and feeling like I'm melting in that Florida sun, getting Dole fix is always a welcome cooling thirst quencher.
The only difference between here and Disneyland is that in LA they skin the pineapple and give you the pineapple slice on a stick. It was a little hard to peel it but it tasted sooooo good! -

You absolutely cannot enter The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and not indulge in the amazing Dole Whip which can be found in Aventureland near the Swiss Family Treehouse.
Yes, they are Heavenly during the grueling, hot summer months. But, I never go to the Parks during the summer; I am a Floridian and have the sense to stay inside the A/C during this awful, hot, rainy time of year! :) I can say The Dole Whip is equally as Heavenly during the off-season. Seriously, does it ever get truly cold here?? Let's leave this last particular winter out of the equation.
Simply stated - you MUST try one of these concoctions!!!! -

I really enjoyed the dole whip. I tried 2 different kinds. One I thought would be good and one the cashier recommended. He was right. Both were great but, his recommendation was better. The dole whip is huge. 4 of us could not finish 2. I should have just ordered one for all of us. Definitely one of the better places to eat at the park. This is a very small counter (look for the long line) in Adventureland.

Thinking about Aloha Isle during a long, cold New England winter always makes me feel warmer. I am obsessed with the Dole Whip floats. They're made with pineapple ice cream and Dole pineapple juice. These floats are a true cult classic- if you do a search on the web for Dole Whips, people have found the vendor to buy the mix for home use, including the soft serve machine! Only something this delicious can inspire dedication like that.
There are tables and benches to enjoy your Dole Whip on a hot Florida day. It's a great place to relax and watch people go by in Adventureland. This is hands down the best snack in the Magic Kingdom. -

Kept reading about the dole whips being a treasured secret of DW so I just had to get one since I have a sweet tooth and probably 20 cavities since I have been afraid to go to a dentist in 10 years. Oh, and I am pre-diabetic. The dole whips are over-rated and way too sweet. I get more pleasure out of a Coke Slurpee at 7 or a Coke Iceee for $1 at Burger King.

This is a must stop at place every time you go to the Magic Kingdom, and I've never been anywhere else that has something as similar as this. You will become hooked in an instant and it is a wonderful pick-me-up after you have been walking around a theme park all day. My favorite is the vanilla pineapple twist in a float.
