I ordered some flowers for my wife recently. They came quickly, they are amazingly beautiful, and they look far more expensive than they were.
I can't think of a way it could have gone better.
Thanks for making me look good Aloha!! -

I've been using to Aloha Flowers for over 10 years now. They have never disappointed me with the quality of their flowers and the beautiful arrangements they create. Wayne is a master and always willing to stop what he's doing to put together a "little something " for me. I'm a real estate broker and love to give flowers for closing gifts. If you are looking for gorgeous or simple, I can't say enough about these guys. Fresh flowers and service to the max!

Came in here yesterday based on Yelp reviews. I told the guy I wanted something beautiful for $30. He proceeded to assemble the largest, most beautiful arrangement! It honestly looked like it would have cost $50-$75, no question. The friend I gave them to was just stunned. I will definitely return.

Around and about, I discovered this flower boutique. I walked in, inhaled the lovely goodness of flowery air, found a plant and bought it. I would have bought much more than a single plant had I not been peregrinating.
The guys there were super friendly and educated, and my dog was allowed into the shop (which is always important to me). While snipping and clipping at a divine flower creation, he gave me advice on plant survival 101 indoor as well as for the ones in my patio garden.
This boutique is so charming, I think, or maybe even captivating in the sense that when I finally left I was all happy and effloresced.
Highly recommended. And they also have cute little garden stands and candle holders and pots. -

I'm so surprised that I'm the first to review! (I know, everyone says that, but REALLY!)
The scene: Heading to Mom's birthday dinner. Need flowers STAT. I called Gilly (the dependable genius at Sunset Junction). He was just closing, and on his way to an event. I asked who else might still be open. Being the cool dude Gilly is, he directed me to Aloha Flowers on Hyperion.
Hooray! What a find.
Chad and Wayne own the joint. I called in advance, knowing they were about to close. I muttered a few key words like "coral" "mums or peonies" "nothing cheesy" "classy and sophisticated" "between $50 to $80". I figured they could demonstrate their chops.
And what chops! We got there right at closing. They were very accommodating, and a giant coral and white bouquet of mums, some other puffy white flowers, tulips and a few corny roses were ready and waiting. (Total=$90, but pretty worth it).
They had last minute birthday cards (which we bought and then left there. Damn!), and they had scores of fresh, healthy flowers on hand.
Make no mistake. This is not the creative florist of the century, and they are right next to Gelson's and Trader Joe's (two establishments known for their sporadic floral find on the cheaper side).
But if you don't have time for the thrill of the hunt at the grocery store, and you need a beautiful, grown-up bouquet, call the folks at Aloha. You won't be sorry.
Update: Just gave the flowers to Mom. She noticed me writing the review and said "You can give them MY two thumbs up!"
Thanks, Aloha! -

I love frequenting local florists because I feel you can really get a quality, individualized bouquet that shows some creativity and looks so much more attractive than ordering online, going to a grocery store, etc. What I got from Aloha was ugly, tasteless and quite possibly assembled by someone colorblind.
I asked for a bouquet with white stargazer lilies as the focal point and then purple as the compliment color; leaving the florist to design within those guidelines. I then watched her pick approximately one item of each colored item from their meager selections and throw it together, with seeming ly no thought as to texture, color combinations, or even just following the limitations of white and purple. Yes, it had cellophane and a straw tie, but it looked like multicolored flower vomit.
This is the first bouquet of flowers I have given someone where I have had to apologize for how ugly they are. -

Quick, easy, friendly and don't rip you off. Not the largest selection but when you need a place to stop in a pick something up they do great. They'll take time to make it right as they pot an Orchid or what ever you desire. They'll even discount if too many buds are already open. That's pretty cool.

Yesss! I agree, aloha flowers is the bomb. Walk in, tell them you want to plunk down $40, or whatever, and pick out your desired level of exoticness. (They have plain flowers too.) It'll take the help of the day 5 or 10 minutes, but you'll walk out with a classy bouquet, in clear cellophane, raffia tie, card. And there's parking, a must in this crowded corner of Silver Lake, catty corner from Gelsons.

The service was friendly, but the selection was rather sparse. I have to give them a sneaky plus for their birds of paradise flowers--they look like they were cut from my backyard. I like my produce, as well as my flowers, grown close to home!

This spot is a clone of the other location near Trader Joes, still in Silver Lake. This shoppe is adorable. It is a bit of a tighter squeeze in here with the store bein' so much smaller. But, their work is still impeccable. Their prices are reasonable and their work is just as beautiful as always. Their window display was so adorable. Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera or my cell phone with me. So, I wasn't able to take a picture of it. Anyways, this florist is in a tiny mini mall with little to no parking. I've seen several customers park on the street or across the street corner at Astros Family Restaurant. Then, they just walk over. Anyways, they seem to be receiving enough business. If you're looking for something real special and price isn't really a huge concern, this is the place to come. And if you are on a rather tight budget, this is also a store to hit up. THe owners and workers are real friendly. They know their flowers and for sure, they know how to do some ink. not bad!!

I only went once but they solved a great problem for me. Last December I went out for my annual mistletoe hunt -- no one stocks it, and when they do (i.e., Gelson's), you have to call in the moment it's delivered or it's gone in an hour AND it's tiny, spotted and overpriced. Aloha provided the best mistletoe I ever had in my life! I actually measured it for this review back in December -- 17" long, 11" wide! That monster mistletoe was a GREAT price too, and stayed fresh and healthy all through the season. I'll be back to Aloha every Christmas from now on...unless you Yelpers beat me to their door!
