Came by just before seeing a band at The Hub around the corner expecting to find Crayton BBQ, which I guess was replaced with this place.
Aloha BBQ has $5 combo deals where you can get a small drink with an order of either kalua pork, chicken katsu, BBQ beef, BBQ chicken, fried shrimp, or curry beef with a scoop of rice and boiled vegetables.
I got the kalua pork which came with vegetables mixed in. It's was rather tender and flavorful. My boyfriend got the curry beef with nearly half of the pieces composed of fat. The spices were good, he says, but he wouldn't recommend it.
They have other menu items, as can be expected at a Hawaiian restaurant: macaroni salad, loco moco, spam musubi, etc. Should I be in the area again, I would definitely like to come back and try them in comparison to places like King's Hawaiian and Ono.
Service was good, though it took a really long time to get the food and we were the only ones ordering and waiting. Still the kalua pork was well-worth the $5 and a return visit. -

I came here with a big appetite. I Was the only person in the restaurant at the time of my order. My meal was ready no less than 27 minutes later. The BBQ chicken plate was ok. The cabbage tasted like it had been frozen and left to defrost under the hot chicken. Pieces were very cold leading me to believe they were frozen. The Mac salad was saucier and wetter than most and contained too much salt. I left it alone. The rice was what you would expect. Eventhough the clerk was friendly I won't spend my little 8 bucks here again. Very disappointing to me. I had hopes of finding a gem or at least a mediocre Hawaiian joint close too home, but it fell short.

Go easy with the gravy when ordering loco moco. They put a lot more gravy than they did in the pictures. The burger patties seemed little old. Either they over cooked them or they are sitting in the freezer for a long time.

I was told about this place from a co-worker. He told me about their BBQ tacos and they are no joke! Granted I haven't heard very much other than the tacos. I have had the Chicken Katsu which holds up well against anywhere else I have had the same dish. The tacos though are made with the same sweet Hawaiian BBQ beef, I usually get about four, yes they are that good. Oh, and I forgot to mention the tacos are only 99cents, everyday!
The place is small and in a strip mall, but the food is definitely worth it. Trust me, next time you get a craving for something unique and delicious, grab a couple bucks and pick up a few of the tacos for lunch. -

We were craving some Korean BBQ short ribs a few days ago and since I work in Rialto, I knew we'd have a hard time finding any that were good. Sad to say, I was right.
The short ribs had an odd taste to them. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but they just tasted weird. I only took a few bites and I had to stop eating them. I'm usually not one to waste food but I couldn't force myself to eat those ribs. I think those ribs had seen better days if you know what I mean.
The only reason they get 2 stars is because their lunch special comes with your choice of bbq chicken, katsu chicken, katsu fish, kalua pork, and a few other choices I can't remember, a scoop of rice, a macaroni salad and a small drink for about $5 bucks.
My recommendation? Skip the ribs, and order the lunch special. The only difference between the whole order and the lunch special is an extra scoop of rice. Not worth it if you ask me. -
