This is a wonderful school that has changed my daughters life.

My daughter went to public school at Hatch Elementary and Cunha Middle School for 5 years where her educational needs were not being met nor was she safe.  Within one month of my daughter attending Alma Heights the teacher realized something wasn't connecting with her learning.  My daughter was tested and we found out she has 4 learning disabilities.  Since that time my daughter has been getting the tools she needs to succeed in life and school.  The teachers and principal work closely with the learning specialist on all the accommodations.

This is an amazing school with teachers that have a true passion for teaching and setting a Godly example for the students.

A-H-C-YAY! A chill school with a variety of people & personalities. You get close to people 'cause the school is so small. The teachers really get to know you personally, which is always a plus. This school provides wonderful opportunities for one to experience a good education with a  bunch of people who really care for & love you. There, you're not just another paying number. You're known for what you make yourself known for. &not only do you learn Califoolya approved education, you learn about yourself& you even learn how to help change lives. Yay for Alma!

They have  international students from all around the globe including Ghana, South Korea, Brazil, Taiwan, Mongolia, Latvia, Albania and many more! To say this school is racist is a a travesty!  The faculty, staff, and administration at Alma are loving inclusive people.  The students at the school are close and have a tight knit community. My sons have had an excellent experience at Alma Heights.

History

Established in 1955

AHC was founded in the 1950s as a boarding school in rural Pedro Valley. In the following decade, it transitioned into an elementary and day school. In this past decade Alma Heights achieved accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and a major building program was completed, adding the gymnasium, library, science wing, computer lab, music room, shops, and several classrooms.

In 2009, our high school had a great new beginning when we merged with Highlands Christian College Preparatory. By working together, our enrollment increased by about 40%, three additional Advanced Placement courses were added, and the Arts and Athletics programs were doubled.
