I never thought I'd be able to salsa dance, but Alma, Jorge (her brother), and J.D. made it happen. They are patient, positive, and inspiring. I took privates with Alma and J.D. that definitely accelerated my progress. Of special note is Jorge Mendez, a true master and excellent instructor.

Alma Frey and George (her brother) are such awesome teachers. I took classes at her studio back when I was a student at UCI and the Costa Mesa location was the most convenient for me. I remember they used to have these day long workshops and topped of by social dance where a lot of her other beginner - advanced students would come out and dance and have a good time.
Alma -a world renowned dancer - is super friendly, personable, great at teaching and very helpful. Like most great salsa instructors, she can teach as the leader and the follower.
Hmph! I miss dancing. -

My husband and I took salsa dance instruction from Alma & JD. We took private lessons and found their classes very helpful and learned a lot from 5 sessions
This couple are great dance instructors! We just wish we had more time to go dancing. Anyway, check them out.
