Review from Cindy T.
Came here for a friend's bday party, and I really enjoyed it! Despite the short time I was there. Loved the circular bar area, with seating all around, and best of all: UPSTAIRS! The VIP area was awesome, with couches, a mini bar, champagne, and can accommodate more than 2 different parties.
I came a little early to get my stamp for re-entry, but the first 150 or so girls got free champagne. Score! The place was pretty DEAD though, past 11. It was not until 1145ish when it was popping.
I liked how the place wasn't not overpacked. There was enough room to have a bit of space to actually dance (and not mush and grind against strangers) but it was kind of small. But the DJ was playing great tunes too.
The bathroom was surprisingly pretty clean. To wash your hands you share with the men outside. Drinks were decent. My AMF had the right amount of alcohol and started feeling it an hour later. Prices were average ($8ish). The VIP bar was limited, so mostly...shots, shots, shots!
I like how they have lots of seating available, and a cool, huge curtain/beaded screen which projected pictures from previous club events. -

Disappointment! Ack!
My friends and I got there before 11pm to avoid the cover fee and our names were missed on the guest list but the lady was nice enough to let us in. She should anyway because the place was pretty much empty for a club/lounge on a Friday night. It was so empty that if I wanted to, I could count all the people there and the total would be under 30.
I was really disappointed. The layout of the place was great. Two bars. Great, roomy dance floor with flashy lights. Even the bathroom was nice with a huge mirror to check yourself out! My friends and I waited and waited for the place to get happening but it just wasn't and the clock was ticking to midnight already. People were leaving instead of coming in. In the end, we gave up on the place and went elsewhere.
I have decided though, if I wanted a big birthday party, this place would do. So I am giving the place a star and then another star because there were TVs playing the Mariners game and I got two free cups of nice, cold water.

I don't even want to give this place one star. Never EVER again will i go here. The bouncers are looking for a fight and got inappropriately aggressive with one of my friends - who wasn't even as intoxicated as they made him out to be. He was shoved to the floor and escorted out for doing nothing! We spent a good chunk of money at this place buying rounds for friends and such, so we'll take our business elsewhere. Be careful here. Worst experience ever.

Review from Naurry K.
Like the Spice Girls, Ibiza splashed onto the Seattle stage with words posh, sexy, scary, etc. After a few years, the tired ladies of pop are ramping up for a come back tour. A little older, a little more mature and a little more worldly. Welcome the return of Ibiza, rejuvinated, refreshed and open to a more mature crowd!
Wednesdays and Thursdays belong to Ibiza with Flamenco and Samba, respectively (with more to come, I'm sure.) Where those "in the know" come out to enjoy some good music, good dancing and good drinks. (Here's to Jordan and Austin the bartenders at the revolutionized Ibiza, well done sirs!) The swanky atmosphere hasn't changed which is a good thing, the attendees range from the young and hip to older and sophisticated. The combination works to create a comfortable place to be without being tired.
So come in, order a martini, sit back and let loose! -

Seattle has a love affair with cheese. Seriously!
I came to Ibiza because of a tip from a local Yelper, and because we walked by earlier in the day and snuck a look at the wine menu.
Settling in with friends for cocktails and dinner, the conversation went something like this:
Friend #1: What do you want to try?
Friend #2 (not so secret cheese lover): Did you see they have a cheese steward?
Waitress: Would you like to see our list of cheeses?
Friend #3: Yes, or we'll never hear the end of it.
Waitress (brings back a large folder and places it on the table): So there are 25 cheeses on the lis-
F#2: Twenty-five?!
Me: Now we're in trouble...
F #2 (after glaze-eyed look through list): You choose.
F#1: You don't want to...?
F#2: It's too much, I can't decide.
F#3 (laughing): I never thought I would hear that...
So we ordered several cheeses, a bottle of wine suggested by our fantastic waitress, more appetizers and had a grand feast. We left before the music started, which was too bad, but as all of us were approaching dairy-induced coma it was the right decision.

My friends and I showed up at 10:30 at Ibiza for my friends birthday on friday. We were suppose to have free cover since we were on the list but they made us wait outside till 11:05.
When we got inside it was EMPTY. They just wanted to make us pay cover.. That wasn't even the worse part, the drinks are EXPENSIVE.
Summary: If you're willing to shell out the cash and deal with the douches at the door, this place isin't THAT bad. The music was nice and the crowd was pretty diverse. -

Lately I feel like I am too old to "go clubbin." I am glad to have found a place that has people more my age (because 27 is so much older than 21). I liked the layout of the place and the fact that it wasnt as dark as a lot of the other clubs I have been to.
Also, and most important, the women here looked good. I really need to learn how to talk to hot babes, especially the ones who make eye contact with you. Why do I always turn my head real quick and feel my face get red? Oh yeah, I am hella shy.

Saturday night's schedule:
1) Go to Collins Pub and drink for a reasonable price.
2) Get riled up and go next door to Ibiza to dance.
3) DANCE DANCE DANCE to the kicking House and cool live Latin drummers.
4) Go back to Collins to chill out, relax and drink some more.
5) Repeat. -

Allure or Ibiza or Allure?? I liked Ibiza but now it's Allure. Would you know that? Probably not b/c they never bothered to change out the sign! The lines was disorganized and bouncers take the small amount of power they are given and amp it up by 1000. Annoying.
Went there for a friend's birthday party and he forewarned them that they would need to staff it with more bartenders but they didn't. I felt bad for them b/c they were nice. 4 bartenders at 2 bars for 100+ people = no alcohol. -

Beware of the chain link curtains. Your pant leg can get caught in them, and after you've had a few drinks you may need to have the bouncer help you untangle yourself. Not that I have any experience with that...not that I can clearly remember at least.
What I do remember is a very swanky NY-esque club just adjacent to the more collegiate/touristy Pioneer Square scene. The upstairs VIP area is large and comfortable and affords you a great view of the action downstairs.
And, wow, does downstairs ever get hoppin!!! They have a drum section, or at least someone with bongos and a few maracas, to compliment the DJ that is spinning that night. It makes the atmosphere seem much more festive.
And, once you untangle your pant leg from the chain link curtain the maraca guy might let you have a hand at shakin' them!Listed in: Drinking in Seattle, Pioneer Square - Where Seattle…

Remember that episode of Family Guy where Bryan gets teased for being fat, goes and talks to a doctor about plastic surgery, and Peter goes under the knife instead? Then, with his smokin' new good looks, he gets invited to join the 'Beautiful People club of Quahog'?
Well.. that club in the heart of Quahog might as well have been Ibiza. Thems a good lookin' bunch a kids up in theah!
I went to a birthday party here last night. Great place for a party!
The food was pretty good (They have mini burgers and pretzel breaded chicken fingers, amongst other apps/ entrees) The drinks were fine- extensive cocktail menu and wine list.
The bathroom was a little 'off'. Sinks are outside the 'jane'.. What the hell?
I liked this place.. Great place to get dressed up 'like a lady' and go shake your money maker or milkshake, or.. what have you.Listed in: Pioneer Square'd

Ibiza is the place that makes you remember that it's okay to be a little suave sometimes, even though you're in Seattle. If you're a guy, you can grease up that hair and let those shirt buttons stay unbuttoned. You can do the nasty 'chest stroke' and actually get a girl to come talk to you! And hey, if you're a girl, find the smallest top in your closet and the highest stilettos you own, and you're good to go. (No pants required.)
If you don't fit into the categories mentioned above, you can still go here! Hey, I did. If you appreciate a great space with great ambiance, you'll like Ibiza. There seem to be three sections in the 'dinner club' : the dining area, the couch/bed area, and the bar/dancefloor area. Not to mention the outside seating in the front, and the great VIP space upstairs. Oh, and yes, you did read correctly, there is a bed there. I wouldn't get too close to it, as you don't know what's er, happened on it-but it makes for great people watching!
They have a nice specialty cocktail list with drinks ranging from 9-12 bucks. I know this sounds incredibly steep, but trust me on this one, order the Canteloupe Martini. You will not be sorry. And I even hate vodka!
After coming here twice-both on weekend nights-I have to wonder why it isn't more crowded? Perhaps I came on off weekends, but it was actually nice because I was at a hot spot and could actually move around and chat with my friends. -

Alright. Someone has to say it --- Ibiza is totally an Asian club. Believe you me, I'm no stranger to or hater of the Asian social scene, but a whitey needs a little warning!
Yes whiteys you will have bigger (albeit natural) boobies, a bigger ass and you'll be generally larger than all the other girls there. Be prepared to get a few "hey sexy white girl" come-ons too.
But otherwise, sleazeballs are sleazeballs, skanks are skanks and this club is like any other. The drinks are overpriced, after 11 the cover is like $20, it is over crowded and sweaty. Ladies -- dress skanky, everyone does. Low cut tops and short ass skirts are prevalent.
So why'd I give it 3 stars? What is Ibiza's saving grace?
The music.
Possibly the best DJ in town, my friends and I haven't had so much fun dancing in a long time.
Oh and the bathrooms weren't bad either. There's a nice and big, full length mirror for the ladies-- always a must when boobs and crotches are so dangerously close to full exposure.
Now I have all the Asian-fetish horn-dogs of Seattle flocking to Ibiza's. Forgive me Ibiza, hopefully you'll let me in next time I want to get my groove on! -

update: I had to take off a star, I wanted to like you Ibiza, really I did. We have a love/hate relationship going on right now so hopefully next time you'll make it up to me.
It was my birthday a few weekends back and I arranged with a friend to get on a promoters list. We called Ibiza and were told that if we came early we would get a table. We came EARLY at 9 PM, had to pay $15 cover even though the people on the phone said that we wouldn't have to pay before 9:30, and had NO table. NO ONE was in whole venue besides two birthday parties at tables. We were promised a table for later in the night and didn't get one. whatever. Still had a good time and would go back for the atmosphere BUT I would not recommend arranging any parties/VIP with the staff. There seems to be a serious disconnect between the restaurant/GLO/promoters/bouncers. Communicate!
On another note, first time I've ever been kicked out of a bar for being too drunk - don't worry I made it to the stall all by myself but then I was escorted out. Good thing I don't remember, that seems like it would be em-barr-ass-ing! :)

Ibiza, I give you four stars... I would have given you five but it took you far too long to get me a drink. Maybe it's because of the circular bar and your head was going in circles and couldn't see that I was CLEARLY ahead of the group of fake blondes with the boobs busting out of their cleavage while batting their lashes at you but there are no excuses. I want my drink and I want it now!
Other than the unusually long wait for a drink at the bar (first round was quick, second round took eons...) Ibiza was fabulous. First time visiting here on a Saturday night not too long ago... was looking forward to some cuddle time on the infamous bed but alas it is no more since they redecorated. Lots of great people watching... I love watching people try to dance :) Would definitely come back another night. -

Ibiza has an absolutely modern and vogue look and feel. In truth if feels more like something you'd see in some of the hipper districts of LA or NY. The drink are great (i especially liked the mojito - very minty) and the bar is quite the visual spectacle.
The only downside to the restaurant is that the food is a little pricey and the portions aren't that large. But, its a great place to hang and chat. -

Ibiza reminds me of the chic bars in Manhattan. Everything feels the same, including the scantily dressed waitresses, extremely high prices, and small food portions. Despite the price, the drinks are very tasty.
HUGE TIP: Go during happy hour. 4-6 every weeknight. Mojitos are only $3, when they are usually $8. A good portion of their specialty drinks are only $4 as well. Most people don't show up then, so you'll have the place to yourself.
Being a wi-fi'er, this is a great place for a late afternoon meeting. Collins Pub is next door and has free Wi-Fi. You should be able to connect to their access point. Look for the access point named "collins_pub". -

I haven't had dinner at this dinner club yet, so I can't really comment on the food.
Given the name I was kinda expecting (hoping? nah!) to walk into a room full of foam when I showed up for the Halloween party. Even without the foam I did feel like I was entering an exclusive Mediterranean hot spot filled with beautiful and well costumed guests. The bar is filled with a lot of top shelf liquor. It was probably due to the Halloween party bedlam going on, but I did get a generous pour of XO rum neat, and was charged like it was a regular shot! That was nice.
Having just come from our high school reunion we neglected to wear costumes, but congrats to Maverick & Goose for winning the contest... I think Frida Kahlo and Che Guevara deserved it just a little bit more though! -

Very nice decor.
We chose Ibiza for our company holiday party a while back and had a great time. We had rented out the 2nd floor and although the service was a little slow it's understandable. The poor waitresses had to go up and down the stair countless times during that night. Some of the appetizers were hit and miss though. On the flip though, their well drinks consist of sky vodka and other "Premium" labels.
Anyhow, after thinking about where to go for dinner last night, I thought we'd check it out again. The decor is very nice. Billowing curtains create partitions within the large space and the owners spent quite a bit of money on decorating the interior. I only wish they had spent more concern on what came out of the kitchen. Quite honestly, the food doesn't live up to the front of the house.
I had the roasted beet salad and the de-constructed Paella and the girl had an organic spring salad with the NY. The beet salad was an interesting concept. They had a toasted nut encrusted petite round of warmed goat cheese served with thin slices of beet decorated around the plate...I love beets and I felt I got cheated a bit. The concept was to use the slices of beets as a vessel for some of the cheese but if you're going to call it a beet salad, there had better be a lot of beets!
The deconstructed Paella was another interesting concept. Everything on the side with the Spanish rice formed into a hockey puck. I mean the plate presentation was great, but the whole purpose of Paella is to have all those great seafood flavors combine and enhance the flavors within the rice. The other gripe was that the seafood got very cold quickly on their own. The 3 pieces of Chorizo however were delicious. Wish they gave more.
I had some of the steak and it was good...but then again I hate ordering boring steaks. The Roquefort butter over the top was good though and the bed of Arugula was nice and peppery.
Half-way through the meal a group of people walked in all dressed in white with fake tans and no concept of how buttons worked. Really? I thought to myself? A nice place for a cocktail at most, but as far as food? Not really a serious eating destination. You're better of to go here for drinks. I do recommend the venue for a party though. -

After having advertised their ambition to support the local fashion community, the venue blatantly disregarded the needs of designers, photographers, and an entire community of aspiring fashion entrepreneurs.
I also experienced a blatant lack of respect for performing talent at this venue, and suggest that if you are a supporter of performing artists, or your local fashion community, that you boycott them. -

I've never been here beyond lunch and happy hour. I'm aware it's some sort of upscale dining place and meat market club after hours, but I only go for the food and occasional drink with friends.
They supposedly serve a Spanish-influenced fusion thing. A year or two back this was a decent place to grab lunch despite the fact that their food wasn't particularly Spanish nor was it great. They raised their prices, however, but the quality of food remained mediocre. I don't go here anymore. The food is stupidly overpriced and the pretension here is ridiculous.
The only positives are that the wine selection is decent , the happy hour was OK, and their service was always good. If you are looking for a Spanish restaurant this place fails to offer anything particularly good (or Spanish for that matter) and it's over-priced for what you do get. It doesn't feel like Spain, or Miami, rather, it just feels like another awkward place in Seattle trying really hard to be something it is not. -
Review from Nina H.
I went here on a Friday night... and WTF, it was SO empty!!! What's going on? I was so surprised how empty the place was... and kind of pissed. I mean, girls didn't have to pay for cover but our guy friends had to pay $10. Their drinks are also REALLY weak... I kept asking the bartender to pour a little bit more alcohol in my drink (it was a friggin midori sour but then again, I probably should've ordered something stronger anyway) BUT he was like "I can't, the liquor board's watching." And since I was kind of buzzed already, I was like "where are they?!" And then he walked away... sad.
Anyway, I don't know what went wrong on Friday but this place is usually a lot more crowded and more fun. But I enjoyed the music too, my favorite song of the moment "Cookie Jar" by Gym Class Heroes played and I went crazy!!Listed in: Seattle's "Nightlife", Nightlife in Seattle

If I could, I might dock a quarter to a half star on two issues:
- Our server is still learning (I know, I've made some of the same subtle mistakes he did.)
- The GM didn't inform us the wine he picked out cost more than the price I OKed. (It wasn't much more, but in my opinion, the wine server should ALWAYS tell you before uncorking the bottle. On the plus side, though, it was a really good match based on what we requested.)
Noteworthy details:
The GM is relatively new to the restaurant, as is the chef. Apparently, Ibiza got a bit away from its origins in its first year. The new chef is there, in part, to return "Spanish-inspired" to the menu.
My hubby told me the Negroni he ordered was one of the best he's had outside of our home. That's fairly high praise for the bar.
Yes, it is indeed quiet on a Thursday night.....that is, unless there is a private party upstairs with a PA system for door prizes. -
Review from Jake K.
So, after a plethora of drinks at Joey's, the Asian crowd that I was with decided to go to....*drum roll*....an Asian club! Or at least, that was my first impression of Ibiza.
The place is a two story nightmare of loud music, gyrating people who look entirely too much like they're trying hard to be a few socioeconomic classes below where they truly are, and high priced drinks.
The dance floor was ill-placed - I walked through many couples attempting to dance and got a few annoyed stares. I absolutely stood out being one of maybe a handful of guys among a hundred in a button up shirt and tried to blend in as best as I could. However, there's just something to be said about the Beast vs. Breast Coasts and their differences.
There was a VIP area upstairs that didn't seem well utilized - I mean, honestly, I don't gather that Ibiza is where you'll see any popular celebrities or Seattle Socialites - but it was replete with a bouncer and velvet ropes...very pedestrian.
Won't be back to this one if I can help it. -

Save yourself from a miserable night of chaos, lousy food, and pretentious service.
Our waitress came very seldom and provided a very poor level of service to begin with, but that was just the beginning of the catastrophe. After one lousy course, two forgotten orders, and an hour of waiting, we finally asked for a check and planned on getting more food somewhere else. The waitress forgot that we had already given her our credit cards (!), so we gave her our names and hoped she'd figure it out.
After waiting at the table for ages, I approached a manager and explained. As it turned out, the waitress totally jumbled the whole thing and ended up giving my card to a stranger's table, who then paid their tab with my card!
The manager tried to make it right, but after everything that had already transpired (and that our waitress was rude from the start), forgiveness just wasn't possible.

I was in Pioneer Square with my husband on a beautiful sunny early Wednesday evening and thought we would take advantage of the patio and happy hour. There is one other patron sitting at the bar eating food.
We sat on the patio. Super slow service, especially since we were the only ones in there to really attend to! I had to ask for menus. After lots of waiting we finally order 3 happy hour items 1. beef skewers with mashed potatoes, 2. chicken skewers with rice, 3. tempura prawns and veggies. We wait and wait and wait. Finally, the food arrives. The skewers come with potato wedges instead of mashed potatoes and rice. The tempura is sub par and consists of onions rings, carrots, and the same potato wedges that have been deep-fried. The prawns were actually pretty good and the best part of the whole meal. Because I now feel like I am really eating bar food, I need ketchup. I go inside to request ketchup. Our guy is no where to be found. I wait, then finally go back outside and decide to try back later. Next time, I find him and he brings ketchup. While dining, I seriously had to do a lot of the work getting up from our table to chase him down that I should have deserved a tip!
While we had been there, another group showed up- clearly from out of town, who was also ordering off the happy hour menu. I finally heard them comment, "Well, here comes our food. I guess we can stuff our faces and rush out of here." Sounds like their experience was pretty similar.
This place needs to really decide what it wants to be: a trendy club? a happy hour spot? able to cater to the tourist crowd? It does look awfully cool inside, but Lord knows I'll never want to go back on a weekend and try it! Even when I tried to yelp about it, I couldn't find it at first because it's called Allure, not Ibiza!! Please, whoever you are, if you don't want to put the time and effort into being open for happy hour, then simply don't! You are running people away from wanting to ever come back and go "clubbing" here because your initial impression is so poor! And from reading other yelp reviews of your nighttime program, it seems you could use all the help you can get in the area too!
These two stars are for neat decor, decent patio, and clean bathrooms. -

The place is a club during the late nights. I don't understand why they even pretend to be a restaurant. They also didn't want to accept the Prime Card; think the final price came out wrong. The inside is nice and interesting. The night we went there were two bachelorette parties. The food was very mediocre; the steak was chewy, the sandwiches were adequate but overpriced. It's a good place to go to dance/hang out, but for eating, look elsewhere.Listed in: Microsoft Prime

I'm giving this a 4 because I'm doing a double rating of the food (3 stars) and the atmosphere/ambiance (5 stars).
The location is pretty nice....deep in the heart of Pioneer Square on a busy avenue. It gets great light on a nice, sunny day, which you can take advantage of in the outside eating area. The inside is awesome looking. They have a ton of big comfy sofas surrounded by large see-through curtains. It's kind of like an ultra-lounge inside.
The food, on the other hand, wasn't as interesting. The prices are nice during happy hour, but the taste wasn't all there. We got a few appetizers like the shrimp scampi and the veggie tempura. Both sort of lacked taste.
I really liked the setting of the place and want to go back to try it out late at night. Maybe the non happy hour food is a little tastier. We'll see. -

Ibiza's is an ok club, I have heard great reviews from many people so I decided to try it myself.
The club is very well decorated. The bathrooms are pretty clean. Pretty quick service at the bar.
The only downside I would say is that the dance floor is right next to the door. Hated dancing there when people are going in and out of the club. People will walk in between you while you are dancing. But at least most people were resepectful...
Ok place like I said, I'd give it another try... -

So Ibiza went out of business. And now it became Allure.
Same owner, just remodeled interior. It's a lot nicer actually, but everything else seems pretty much the same. Trendy people come, but there isn't much to pack the place out. I don't know why though -- it's kind of a phenomena.
Bartenders are nice and ambiance is hip (for Seattle). Owner is also cool and welcomes all of his guests accordingly...though for some reason, people just aren't packing in this place. I think Ibiza/Allure has become synonymous with always being empty. Quite unfortunate ~ people always prefer the louder, bigger Trinity around the corner. -

You know my dad grew up in Ibiza when he was a little kid. Things have changes and now they have a resturant named after the island. I know he wouldn't like what happened to the island, being a party mecca or whatever. But for a dance club who cares...the decor and atmosphere are great and if my dad were my age I am sure he would get his drink on.

My friends and I arrived a bit on later side, nearly midnight. The door was roped off and we asked the door guys if we were able to walk over it - no response. Awesome.
We meet up with my friend and she gives us VIP bracelets which gives you access to the upstairs section. There is a bar up there, but drinks were pretty expensive in my opinion.
Sure, the decor is nice and all, but that's about it. Service and staff seemed snooty and unfriendly.

Over priced. Over cooked. Under poured.
This used to be a fun place to come on Friday and Saturday's but now, it's just a ghost town.
The only reason why I'm giving it 2 not 1 stars is because the place is really neat. The downstairs has a great dance floor and nice seating, and upstairs is decorated well. -

I am never a fan of spending $30 for 1 person in 5 minutes. Especially when going to a place that's just a club. I would suggest going only if you have a group that doesn't mind spending a lot of money on tiny, overpriced, and poorly made drinks, and mediocre music.
If you do go get in before 11 and get into the VIP area. -

Pioneer Square has always had a reputation as a place that required caution and suspicion. This review is by no exception an attempt at a different statement. All this given, Ibiza surprisingly serves for a fun and jubilant night out. Much more of a Belltown, type atmosphere, it does a satisfying job at catering to a swanky, and fancy crowd. This is of course not to suggest that a drunken group of recent college grads can't have a good time but be prepared to see young professionals and hip Seattleites in a crowded but pleasant venue.
p.s. late night inebriated reviews are the most honest! -

Went to Ibiza last weekend for a birthday party. The atmosphere is pretty good for a club - good lighting (dark but not too dark), big dance floor, good decor (although with the name I'd like to see a bit more Spanish flare), a couple of large bars, and swanky couches. The private party room is pretty good (good view of entire club) and minimums for table reservations are reasonable.
The DJ (90% of how I rate clubs) was fun and encouraged the crowd. I would have preferred the tracks sped up a bit more and also more mash ups. -

I simply dig the set-up at this glitzy nightspot. The beats are funk and peeps - well - quite lovely and mature. I particularly enjoy the Friday happy hours -- with DJ Forrest Gump (run Forrest) alongside DJ Miss Broadway -- talk about classics and fusion - hey - they get down? The food menu is scrumptious and the flavors eclectic - for a lounge/nightclub establishment. I walked in last Friday at about 5 and was happy to see Damon Yang there as manager - formerly of Contour - and was always an excellent host -- go there for a good time minus the drama!
