Yelp has saved me the hassle of finding a new hair stylist twice. First, they introduced me to Joey at Notorious 4 Hair in The Castro. Next, they led me to Sheena at Allure.
1st Star: In the salon for less than an hour for a simple shampoo, wash & style.
2nd Star: Curly hair can be a challenge that requires special cutting techniques. Sheena gets this. No frizzy q-tip head here!
3rd Star: Two words: Scalp Massage
4th Star: Staff is super friendly. Every visit with Sheena is like catching up with a longtime friend.
5th Star: Always walking out looking 10 times better than when I came in without breaking the bank (approx $35 plus tip).
If you're in a hair rut, go here. Go! Now!
Lindsey saved me from being TERRIFIED trying to find a new hairstylist! As soon as I walked in I knew this was the place. Its not your average, uptight, charge $50 for a haircut salon! The prices are awesome, the place is really nice & the haircuts are fantastic! I went way short on two occasions & was absolutely in love! Its right by my work & they can always get me when its convenient for me. I even got my mom to start going there too! Way to go guys, you ROCK!
Michelle & Jami are the BEST!
I've been seeing Michelle for almost two years now and I LOVE my cut and color! Michelle knows how to make slight changes to my style when needed so I never get bored or overwhelmed with a drastic change. I've had some serious damage done to my hair in the past by careless stylists, but Michelle always puts the "integrity" of my hair first- my color is always shiny and rich and my hair feels strong and healthy.
Jami has been doing my waxing and facials for the past year... the glycolic facials have transformed my skin and she has a way of talking through a bikini wax that makes the whole procedure seem to go faster and more comfortably.
The salon itself is laid back and friendly. I leave looking fabulous without having to endure any hipper-than-thou attitudes. They're open to 9 PM on weekdays which is so convenient! The only bummer is they don't allow you to leave a tip on your credit card.
been in 5 times since I first discovered them and still everytime is flawless! Thanks so much!

My hair's naturally curly but Sheena did an amazing job cutting it. i'm always weary of it being cut wrong - ie, becoming a big ball of frizz. But she took off just the right amount and also spent considerable time doing it. She is definitely meticulous. And, at $30 for a haircut, how can you go wrong?
I moved to Denver from Los Angeles last year and spent months trying to find someone in this town who knows how to do color. I tried Ulta, Montana's and numerous other places and usually walked out miserable and unhappy with the results. Then I found Sheena at Allure. She really knows her stuff, she does exactly what I ask and it's perfect everytime. Thanks Sheena!
This was my first time going to an actual "salon." Any other times I've had my hair cut professionally was at a place like Fantastic Sams or Great Clips. I've had too many bad haircuts to go back, so I started cutting my hair myself for the past few years. All was well until my last cut where I decided to chop it all off.. can't say I'm good at the shorter do's. So I went to Sheena at Allure, and while she couldn't make my hair longer (I cut it way too short), she definitely salvaged it and made me feel a lot better about it until it grows out and I can play with it some more. Also think I'll go back to her to help me next time.. yeah, don't want another accident. :)
I picked Allure cause it was pretty much the least expensive and most highly reviewed salon I could find on citysearch. Works for me.
