At last my hunt for a new threading salon ends...Just got back from getting my eyebrows done..and they look great! Ritu is very meticulous and wonderful at her job. Just let her know beforehand how and what you'd like, any concerns and she will do exactly what you requested. A great, quick experience.
I am so glad I found her..I was so frustrated with all the salons in and around the area for varied reasons. Anyways, this is Ritu's space and I will not rant about others..they will get a review too on their pages.
Bottomline: Ritu has my vote!!! Will definitely come back!

My new threading salon! I've been going to Sumi Beauty in Mountain View for some time and I was getting frustrated at the quality of their service. Always rushed, always a little sloppy.
I went to see Ritu during a slow day, so I didn't have the same wait that other people mentioned, but my eyebrows came out really great. I'm glad I found her and I'm looking forward to making her my new regular. -

Disclaimer: this is my first time trying out threading, so I don't have anything to compared to (other than my one waxing experience in the past, which was completely different compared to threading), so I can't really give this place 5 stars if I don't know what the standard is...but from what I can read online, people have complained of pain, redness/sensitivity, and even bleeding in some cases...I have to say that Ritu is beyond all that!
Yes, I did feel the string pinching my skin while she was threading, which did kind of sting a little during the whole procedure; however, it's nothing more than that...no pain, no redness, and no bleeding! Ritu will analyze your eyebrow and also ask what you want/prefer, and she will take the extra time to fix it if you're not pleased with the result.
I definitely will recommend this place & keep going back...part of me does want to try out other places to re-affirm my opinion that Ritu is great and much better than elsewhere, but it's difficult to do that when most of the places on Yelp don't have as high of a rating as Allure does!
I will mention one thing that also prevented me from giving this place a 5 stars, and this requires further investigation...I suffered a case of pink eye the day right after my eyebrow threading for almost a week, and I hesitate to blame this on Allure right away since I could find no evidence of "pink eye" being a complication of eyebrow threading on Google. However, with that said, I definitely will be more careful next time I go in for another threading session!
P.S. Ritu is now available daily by appointment (except Monday/Sunday since they're closed)! -

The reviews are right, Ritu does a pretty good job with eyebrows and is gentle. Prices are reasonable. HOWEVER, the two stars is for all the times I've had to WAIT for her while she's late. Normally, I go during my lunch hour and she tries to let me know when she's running late as she just had a baby. A few times is forgivable and I'm pretty understandable when the circumstances are reasonable, but today I was done waiting for her. I called in the morning for an appt that afternoon during my lunch hour. I get there and she's still with a client. My appointment was at 1pm. 1:20 - she was still with her other client. I just got up and left.
She called and seemed apologetic, but she claimed she didn't have a clock in her facial room. How is that possible?! I let her know I will not be returning to the salon as she is unprofessional.
Anyway, as great as she is, time is valuable and I am paying for a service and not to wait around. -

I called on a Sat afternoon to see if she was available and she was able to see me within 45 min! The place is a hair salon that is clean with ample parking. I just asked her to clean up and she did just that. She also checked to make sure I liked it before she was finished. I will definitely go back to her again. The only negative that I could think of was that she is appointment only, but she's pretty accommodating though.

Ritu has the finesse to do perfect threading. I just got my eyebrows, forehead and upper lip threaded and she was great!! Reasonable pricing and she is so sweet!!

Ritu is what I consider a hidden gem. Might be a little hard to find her but her service is top notch. She has great customer service and she's very meticulous in her work which I really appreciate. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.

Hello all:
I am recommending (Ritu) at Allure Salon 408-735-1024!!!
I over processes my hair color, so it turned ORANGE!!!! It was terrible - I researched a few salons on CL from all over the south bay, and came across Allure in Sunnyvale.
I spoke to Ritu. She spent (3 HOURS) with me, NOT rushing me in anyway. She was so calming, stating we would stay until we fixed the problem. She was amazing!!! She had another client who walked in, and she told them nicely that she was attending to me and couldn't work on someone else at the moment. I was so impressed, I have been at other salons that take as many clients as possible, juggling and making you feel left out.
After spending 3 hours with me, she only charged me $75.00 for the whole treatment!!! When I called around, the Campbell, San Jose, they were quoting me $150.00 for the job.
I was so impressed with her that I feel compelled to recommend her. Here are the details:
Her name is Ritu, she works at Allure, a nice salon in Sunnyvale, right off El Camino Real, her number is 408-735-1024, address: 505 Pastoria AVE. #28 Sunnyvale CA 94086.
My only language is English, and have a slight hearing loss, so I have trouble understanding others using other languages, she speaks perfect English, I could understand her, and she could understand me. I felt very cared for. She fixed the problem and the color turned out beautiful, you would have never known that I had overprocessed it.
She also offers: Hair Cuts, Color, Highlights, Permanent Straightening, Threading, Waxing, Facials, Bridal Makeup, Mehandi, Hair Styling.

I called on a Saturday and Ritu was able to give me an appointment for eyebrow threading within an hour.
This was my 2nd threading experience. My first time, I was really pleased about how my eyebrows looked, but the person who did it (at a salon in Berkeley) didn't have much of a bedside manner and the threading hurt like heck.
Ritu left my eyebrows just as nice, but it hardly hurt at all, and her manner is as gentle and kind as her threading.
She says that as of now she's only working on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, by appointment only. -

After a poor experience at another threading salon, I found Ritu. She is courteous and professional. Her prices are very reasonable, and she is accommodating with scheduling. I will be going back to her because she provides a great service at a great price.

I'm not going to lie and say eyebrow threading doesn't hurt (maybe it's just me) but if you're going to do it, Ritu will do a good job. She can usually schedule you in the same or next day and the wait is never long. She's as gentle as one can be with eyebrow threading and she'll touch up your eyebrows until you're satisfied. And at a competitive price, my friends and I always go to Ritu for our eyebrow threading.
