History
Established in 1974
The O'Quinn Insurance Agency was founded in 1974 by Tom O'Quinn. Tom started his agency in the Sears store and moved to the Granada location shortly after. Since then the agency has expanded to a staff of 12 professionals servicing over 10,000 accounts. Brent O'Quinn started helping his father in the agency at the age of 14 and came to work in the agency full time in 1998. In 2009 Brent O'Quinn purchased the agency from his father and the agency has continued to grow from there.
The agency takes pride in its high sales volume, all-lines profitability, balanced production, technical competence and commitment to client service and relationships. Through the years the O'Quinn Agency has attained many performance and top in company awards. In 2009, the O'Quinn Agency was named the Small Business of the Year by the Daytona Chamber of Commerce.
Meet the Business Owner: Brent O.
I was born in DeLand and raised in my father's orange grove. My decision to get into the insurance business came naturally since my father, Tom O'Quinn, has been an agent for more than 38 years. My career began by answering phones and stuffing envelopes during summer and winter breaks. I attended Florida State University where I earned a Bachelor's in Marketing with a minor in Insurance. I have an amazing wife and two beautiful children.
The O'Quinn Agency is one of the largest insurance agencies in Volusia and Flagler counties. We have more markets than ever before for homeowners insurance and are able to write anywhere in Florida at a great rate. At one time we could only write through Allstate, but now we can insure through St. Johns, Royal Palm, Security First, Universal, HomeWise, Citizens and many others. Our office includes 12 licensed agents and a financial advisor who can easily answer all your questions and provide you with fast, accurate service.
