    went for Wrestling last night.
we had to change our seats 4 times because i was in the wrong section, then the guy who works there put me and my daughter in the wrong row.
they need to make the aisles wider, so you dont have to be concerned with stepping on other people or having them pour their drinks on you by accident. the matches were good, all i can really voice 2 complaints about?
the fact that they waited until there was  a line of over 500 to open the doors in the arena for everyone to go in,(it was cold and raining), and since  it was COLD outside, there were people not wearing any jackets, in fact, the guy in front of me had shorts and a short sleeved shirt on, its April and cold, why cant people dress accordingly, he was coughing  really a lot too, no wonder people get sick, if its cold, put a jacket on, duh.  and the one i really need to have fixed for All of us.
we went to leave, it was raining, and NO ONE WANTED TO WAIT TO LEAVE THE PARKING LOT, there was a space ahead of me that would fit one car to leave,a nd 3 occupied that space at once. the girl next to me from Indiana too, tried to give me 5 bucks to let her go in front of me, but there was no room for her to go, she said it was cuz she had 2 kids. i was parked against the guard rail in the very front of the parking lot, and there  was no one directing traffic.i would strongly suggest, unless you like to hear lots of beeping(which is so RUDE anyway), make sure there are enough people directing traffic,  rain or not, its just lucky that no one got into an accident , people were So greedy to leave, no one wanted to wait.. well, know what i did? i just pulled into a space next to where i had been parked by and Waited for just about  everyone else to leave before trying again. why is it SO hard to wait??????? the food is good too.

My first time here was to see a Chicago Wolves hockey game on Sunday afternoon.  Nice little arena, but the seats are fairly uncomfortable and for long legged people, there just isn't enough room for for us...

The parking was sweet for us, VIP, but it's a bit of a boondoggle to get in and out for the rest of the folks.

The concessions stands are yummy and varied, so that was a plus.  The prices are awfully high however.

Not a bad place to see a minor league hockey game, which is what I saw on my first and only visit here recently.

For someone who is from out of town, my experience here was all good.

It is essentially on the end of a runway at O'Hare, meaning that it's very far from Chicago.

To get here I took the El from the airport to the Rosemont station. Then I hailed a cab, which cost me about $12 to take me the three miles to where the arena is.

There are a few places to eat next to the arena, as it is built next to a "classic" American cookie cutter shopping center that contains a Target, Panda Express, Chili's, Steak n Shake, etc.

I had a large backpack with me from my flight, however the Wolves have no issue with you bringing that kind of stuff in ( I emailed them before my trip and they let me know it was ok). They just felt it for guns/weapons? stuff like that, and food/drinks, which you can't bring in.

After the game if you want to get back to the Rosemont CTA station, just hop onboard the PACE bus for 1.75. Check the web for their schedules, but they seem to offer this service whenever there is an event going on here, like Depaul basketball.

Now I can add an AHL game to my sports list......

Let's see, 80's ish concourses, poor sight lines (the stands do not rise up enough to allow a view over the guy in front of you, lame food with impossibly long lines, this arena sucks.  Throw in the fact that there is little or no public transit that is easily accessible, and what is with the constantly flashing lights during the basketball game?  I think DePaul's dowry and Big East compensation is enough to move to United Center and leave this to the semi-pro teams.

I'm not sure why, but Allstate Area seemed really small.  It was small and sweaty.  Don't they have air conditioning??  It was so warm inside and when you add pyrotechnics from a concert...

    I was melting.

I have been to Allstate many times over the years--sometimes for shows, sporting events, or concerts.  Mostly the latter.  It is usually a good time and I don't have a problem seeing the stage, which is the most important part, but I have a HUGE beef with the parking situation!

No matter when you get there, or where you park, or even when you leave (unless it's around the time your show starts) then you will have a HUGE, LONG wait to get out of the parking lot.  it is always a huge cluster**** trying to get out of there--you can't tell where the exits are, and people are cutting off other people left and right only to go in the wrong direction in the end.

One time my friend and I hauled heine out of our concert onto to wait to get out of the parking lot for 45 minutes.  Not cool.

And I agree w/ Candance.  Would it kill you guys to have a recycling receptacle here and there??  Day-um!

So, they renovate the outside and change the name, but the place is still the same inside. Lines to get in often are slow as they do not use enough doors. The hallways are tight, but at least the bathrooms are generally really big.

Concerts are just ok in here, not as good as The United Center, but there are worse indoor arenas.

Good venue for WWE, but if you sit on the floor and are in the back you won't be able to see a thing. Better to sit on the sides.

The Allstate Arena unfortunately doesn't do much justice for itself being in the Chicagoland area. Reason being is because most people, as I've noticed fellow reviewers have done, will compare it to the multiple other venues that our great city has to offer. How can any venue compare to greats like that of the United Center, the Aragon Ballroom, etc. etc. But for what it is, I don't mind the Allstate.

I actually frequent here because DePaul University hosts their basketball games here at the Allstate (I'm a huge basketball fan, and DePaul is in the Big East! I get to see top schools like Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Syracus, Villanova, etc.) The seating is fine in my opinion. People have been known to complain of seating during concerts, but really, who wants to SIT during a concert anyways? If it's a good enough concert you'd be up the whole time anyway (mini rant, oops).

The parking can be a problem, it's pretty unorganized if you ask me, and overpriced. I think it's priced higher than parking for the United Center, which probably doesn't make sense.

I've never been here for a concert so I can't really comment from that perspective, but as far as basketball games go, the Allstate is okay.

Allstate is by far the worst venue to see live music in the Chicagoland area. Our seats were actually slighty behind the stage (really, they sold tickets for behind the stage???) which meant that a) we couldn't see the whole stage and b) we couldn't see the big screens at all.

Getting into the parking lot, parking and getting to the venue is nightmare. I'll avoid this at all costs in the future.

Went here for the Monster Truck show on 2/13/2011.  Great venue.  Parking was a rip-off as was food but the seats/show were amazing if you could deal with a bunch of little kids.  Try bringing your own food/snacks if you don't want to pay for over-priced popcorn and pop.   Bring earplugs with you for the Monster Truck show.

Careful - There's a Target shopping center very close to Allstate's parking lot.  They have tow restriction signs posted everywhere and a tow truck waiting to catch patrons doing the ole duck and dodge parking fee things.  Pay the $20 for parking.  Don't get towed!

I just went to the Guns and Roses show last night. Show was amazing but I will never go to Allstate again. They do not allow any food or drinks to the GA seating. We paid 90 per ticket to stand on the floor and you can't even have a drink! They also stopped serving food and drink at 11:30 for a show that went til 2am. The ushers stopped letting people down to the floor 30 mins before the end of the show. So if you went to the bathroom or stepped into the lobby you got to listen the rest of the show from lobby.

I've been here more times than I can count! As much as I enjoy other genres, I am a sucker for pop music. As far as arenas go, which you sometimes cannot avoid, Allstate is alright in my book.

I've been in the dead last row, the front row and everywhere in between. From 1993 to current, I've seen most of Top 40's finest. I will not name them because you will make fun of me.

I really prefer the shows with centrally located stages, or at least those with a catwalk. The view is pretty great no matter where you're seated. The first 10 rows are fantastic, but not as affordable as they used to be. On my last visit I was way up in the 200s and the view was still good. Sound is good throughout, it's really loud, but that's all a part of the fun!

The tickets are expensive!!! Back in '99, front row seats through a broker were $250. If you're lucky enough to get good seats (first 10 row) the base cost is $250+ (through Ticketmaster) and broker seats now push $1000 depending on the artist. Too rich for my blood! Seats in the 200 sections will cost you around $50 and the 100 sections are about $100.

Beer runs about $8 a cup and the selection is lacking. Merch at the shows here is SO expensive, on average $45 for a tee shirt. It's nice that they have an outdoor area for the smokers. I once forgot my wallet in the car and was able to run back to my car using the smoker's exit/entrance to get back into the show. Crisis averted.

The parking lot is a clusterfuck, don't even bother with it. I usually park across the street at the car wash. It's only $15 and it's pretty quick getting out of there.

Traffic around the arena can get really bad before and after a show, especially if it's sold out. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get there and get home.

Overall the Allstate is an okay venue. Not awesome, but not bad either.

Went to see Sugarland here last Friday.  I WILL NOT park there again for a big event.  Though the concert was fantastic - the sound wasn't too great... but the biggest disappointment was the parking situation.  We paid $20 to get trapped in!  They parked the cars four rows deep so if you were in the middle and the cars behind you hadn't left you were trapped.  I would HATE to have some sort of emergency and need to leave early!!  You'd be screwed!!  Next time I'll park elsewhere and walk.

I honestly think this practice should be illegal.  I wish the Rosemont police would step and stop this nonsense.  :(

    BOO-URNS!!!

I understand that you have to turn the lights down for concerts but for safety's sake, there should be some sort of low lit lighting strip on the concrete stairs. It's so dangerous! My bf and I had floor seats and all concert long we saw the security trying to shine their flashlights over because people had ate s*** while ring to go down the pitch black stairs.

My real complaint is that the place is HUGE and there are so many food and beverage items that are being consumed yet they have no recycling. Everything they package is recyclable yet it all goes in the garbage. I tried to do my part and ask if they could just refill the plastic beer cup again and they said it was against their policy and that I had to have a new cup. I understand that there may be a health code violation with refilling a cup but when I then asked if they could recycle my cup for me instead of having to throw it out, I was told by several staff members at different locations that they had no recycling.

I'm sorry, but how is it that such a huge and wasteful place isn't enrolled in a simple recycling program. Allstate is single handed-ly filling landfills and destroying the planet.

I should prob give them 2 stars for overall experience but the recycling thing blows my mind. Not one recycling receptacle available to the staff or general public is so very unacceptable.

This was the old Rosemont Horizon? Well, Golllll-ee! I guess I came here a long time ago for a DePaul/Marquette basketball game and we had great seats! I remembered there not being a bad seat in the house for a sporting event, and with the same being said for my recent visit to a Chicago Rush Arena football game, it's an Allstate Arena Sports Win!

Okay, not a super win, because they only serve Bud Light (pass!) and the nachos looked like a train wreck. Glad I chose to eat beforehand. But since Allstate is a small arena, there really is not a bad seat in the house. Sure the rows and seats are a little tighter, but maybe that's because nowadays people are a little bigger? Oh no, he Di'n't! Oh yes, Rosemont, I did!

Parking for our event was $11 and in-and-out was easy breezy. I'm sure it's worse for sold out concerts, but you've got to expect that of any stadium of 15,000 plus. Allstate Arena is a solid, A-Okay.

I went and saw Metallica herre on 1/26/2009 and I had a very good time. It has been ages since I have been here so I was looking forward to checking it out. It looked as if all of the sight lines from all of the various sections were pretty good. The acoustics were OK but I have definately exprienced better..

The public area that surrounded the actual arena was really odd and it seemed strangely designed for a massive crowd. One minute it is wide open but you turn a corner, and the corridor narrows and causes a huge bottleneck. It is a very odd layout

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sit on you..I thought that your thigh was part of my seat." Yea that's how small these seats are. I saw a lot of people standing, and not just because it was a concert but because the seats are tiny.

You have to use cash for EVERYTHING. Parking, beer, food...Downerrrr. Ugh.

I understand they're trying to watch the alcohol intake of kiddies but do you really have to card me 3 times in the same line for one beer?

Bathrooms...are women really that nasty? I mean is it really that hard to flush?

Otherwise the seats weren't bad. We had a clear view of the artist and beer/food was easily accessible.

I enjoy creeping past you at a hair whipping speed of 2mph at 5:30pm on a daily basis. The street lights do wonders to the glorious exterior, they shine on the sign that promote the 'cheap' $11 parking rate.  Any Wolves games that you may catch here, it will be best to have some lame schlup drive you to the game and give 'em the 7 buck beer, 4 buck hot dog or 4 buck 'medium' soda.
The two stars are for the seating in the arena, not really a bad seat.

When you're 6'4" and you can't see over the person SITTING in front of you, you know it's not your usual fault for being too tall.  The Romans managed to build a nice little coliseum with good sightlines, but somehow this couldn't be accomplished in Chicago 2,000 years later.

Along with the fact that Allstate is nowhere near anything resembling public transportation, the $20 parking fee is an additional kick in the pants, and getting out afterwards is a nightmare.

I've been coming here forever. When Allstate bought the naming rights, the place was freshened up a bit. However, the same problems still plague this place. The food is pretty lousy, yet overpriced. The parking lot is expensive and very difficult to get in and out of. Pace offers good service to the arena from the Rosemont El station which is the way to go.
Free tip from your Uncle Patrick: it's cheaper to pay the fee for parking at the El station and take the bus round trip even for two people than it is to park in their lot. Plus, you beat a lot of traffic getting out of there due to the routing of the bus.

Biggest White Castle ever!!!!  I thought I was gonna be able to order some sliders by the look of this place.  I went and saw Dane Cook here and the experience was horrible!

The driving and parking was God Awful both getting in and leaving.  No good way at all.  (I did get to see two girls drop trou and let it go right on the side of I-90!)

The seats were cramped and uncomfortable.  But that is with every seat that isn't my couch.

Every 10 min a plane from O'Hare would go over that it sounded like thunder.  Dane Cook even stopped a couple of times to wonder what it was.

The POLICE were ushers.  No lie.  They had three police men come down with their giant, retina burning flashlights to "check" tickets for like 10 min!

The flat, warm beer was WAY too expensive and hard to get to that I didn't bother.

The sound guys must not have done an audio check because during the encore, Dane couldn't play his guitar because the audio was messed.  GREAT JOB GUYS!!!

If you want an over-priced, sloppy, congested White Castle to watch a concert or event at.....then this is your place!!!

Get ready for this kids, you are going to be jealous.  I saw New Kids on the Block at Allstate Arena last night!  I know, I know, you hate me.  You wish you had tickets right next to the stage, too.  Don't be mad.

The venue was okay.  I mean, its a little bit dumpy and all, but who was paying attention when there were those hot boys on the stage?

IMO, the staff was very well organized.  The traffic in and out of the parking lot was smooth.  The concessions were stationed to avoid traffic jams.  The bathrooms were never completely crowded or messy.

As for the sound, I cannot really comment.  It is hard to tell when there is a deafening roar of thirty-somethings reliving their teen years.

I would see NKOTB anywhere, so this was A-OK, fo sho.

I bought tickets to 'High School Musical' for my little nieces and nephews and my sisters as a Christmas gift.  I'm going to have to write a separate review for the show- it was fabulous!!  But here are my thoughts on Allstate Arena:

We had incredible seats, 4th row (you're welcome kids).  The sound system was great.  That's where my compliments end.

Getting into the parking lot was ridiculously slow.  They have  better  parking systems at  funerals!

But here's the really scary part.  Leaving the place was complete and utter chaos.  It was thousands of adults and children, crammed together, some walking with us, towards our exit door, some walking towards us, to another door, many exiting the various entries to the theater itself and trying to break into a line.  Mind you, more than half of these people are small children- easily stepped on.  I shudder to think of the tragedy that would occur if there were some type of emergency.

In my opinion, I would think that a responsible theater would have some type of organized system to help people to exit the building in a safe and timely fashion.  It was obvious that they  are using all their staff to hawk cheap dollar store items for ridiculous prices.

Nothing like slapping on a new facade, changing the name, and calling it a day.

I remember the days of Rosemont Horizon before all these corporations started buying venues. Those were the days. I recently came here for my bro's graduation and all we heard were planes taking off and landing due to the vicinity of ORD. Total bummer if you're here for a semi-quiet event.

On the other hand, if you're to see White Zombie (which I did prior to Rob going solo), then the airplane noise is of course drowned out.

Parking was horrendous! It was worse then snail mail over the weekend during Christmas. I would not suggest coming here if you had a choice.

Pink (2x), The notorious BiG, Usher, Justin timberlake, the ting tings, Alicia Keys and a whole lot more.....
I like the Allstate arena.  I have seen quite a few artists here starting back from 1995 to the present day.  The beer is pricey- but that's to be expected at any arena (Unless you are in the middle of no where like the Peoria Civic Center where it's only five bucks)  The parking is over priced @ $20.00 for the cramped spaces, and it will take you at least 30 mins to get out of.  So now I just stay at a hotel nearby So I can continue to party after the show.  There are tons of restaurants and bars to choose from in the area.  There is not a bad seat in the place, though my preference is sec 102 or G.A.  The sound is very good as well.  i will actually be back there in one month!

I went to see Justin Timberlake concert not too long ago.  No I don't own any of his cds, tshirt, teddy bear, posters in my room.  But I like some of his music. My coworker told me back in December about his concert tickets going on presale so I bought some.  I give him props for trying to help Britney and since I never bought his cd so I bought concert ticket, maybe that helps?
It was pretty cool even though I didn't know any of his lyrics except: I'm bringing sexy back, get your sexy on, and my love.  Only because that's repeated many times in chorus.
Hey I know he drink FIJI water! and I wish I could dance like him.  Pink did awesome job opening but Timberland took way too long for intermission.

JT concert gets 5 stars.  Getting to Allstate Arena without a car sucked. Public transportation was good but very packed.  Arena was pretty big, not  big as the united center but I heard they play other concerts and Chicago hockey games here.   It's just out of the way for me to get here.

I took public transportation from the city to Allstate Arena, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It takes a while, since it's a long haul on the blue line and then a transfer on the Pace bus, but the trip was relatively smooth. Still, if you have a car, definitely drive.

I was here for the Justin Timberlake concert, and the set up was pretty good. The crowd wrapped 360 degrees around the stage, but JT did a good job of making his rounds and catering to every corner of the arena. We had nosebleed seats that took some navigating to get to, but the view wasn't terrible. There is very little leg room, so tall people be forewarned. Sound quality was ok.

This place is kind of like a 100 year old woman getting a face lift.  Whats the point, it is still old and sloppy under the mask, right?  About 5 years ago Allstate bought naming rights for about 9 million and from what I can tell the basicly just change out some seats, slapped some paint and pretty pieces on the outside of the building and called it quits.  Site lines are crappy, not enough slope for good view of sporting events, terrible as hell to walk around in if they have any kind of crowd at all, way over priced parking and a nightmare trying to get in and out of.

I only go here if there is an event I absolutely don't want to miss.  Otherwise I pretty much avoid the place.

Took the kids here to see "Monster Jams", like a monster truck show with lots of noise and lights and stuff. We had a great time. The parking was kind of steep, something like $10 or $15...for a lot I'm sure they aren't leasing from themselves? Kind of a rip. The souvenirs were pricey, the food was typical assembly line stuff...nachos, popcorn and whatnot.

Been there a couple other times for hockey games and stuff back when it was "Allstate Area".

    At least there's a smoking area! =]

I had my niece and nephews for the weekend and thought that the circus would be a good idea.  It turned out to actually be a strange experience.   I was thrilled by some acts and creeped out by others (clowns - 'nuff said) and guilty about the rest (those animals don't look happy).  But I am not reviewing the circus here so I'll try to stay on track.

The arena packed 3 circus shows into a day.  The shows are long!  Like 2.5 hours long plus an hour pre-show.  As a result, there were issues getting all of the cars from one show out and the next show in.  It was cold and rainy this weekend and there really is no good place to wait.  So there were lots of whiny kids crying and sniffling and being forced to stand out in the cold.  Ugh.  They told me I could not wait by one door and shuffled me off to another.

The bathroom - slightly better than a Greyhound bus station.  The food - overpriced and awful.  The seats - about as comfortable as a root canal.

But the real kicker?  The fact that they have police and security out for several intersections around the arena directing traffic.  I was not allowed to turn the way I had come in.  I am not a suburbanite and I don't usually drive so the result of this over-handling of the traffic situation was me being lost in a minivan full of tired kids and one really cranky adult (I bet you can guess who the cranky adult was).

I won't go back here again.  It gets one star for having indoor plumbing and another for having a roof.

Ok, I've been coming here since when it was still the Horizon, and all but a handful of times have been for Wolves games.

Unless you get stuck behind a tall guy, there isn't really a bad seat in the building visually. Even in the corners on the second level it doesn't seem as far as it actually is - for sports. And seats here are still cheap for the Wolves, even for good ones.

Sonically, especially for concerts, it's a different story. I've seen a few concerts here (including 2 Metallica, in 2004 and 2009. The 2004 show had me sitting 3rd row from the top in a corner. It sucked. All you could hear from Godsmack (the opener) was bass and kick drum - could be partly mixing problems, but the vocals and guitars were hard to distinguish. Metallica wasn't much better (sounding), and it just sounded dull.

The 2009 show - sitting basically in section 100  about 10 rows back from GA. The sound was very crisp even for the openers Sword and Machine Head. And even for the Wolves games or Globetrotters back in the day - the few times I've been in the corners, it sounds awful, so it's more than likely the building's acoustics rather than the gear used.

The seats actually are slightly WIDER than they were before the remodel and rename, but there is still a lack of room. I'm 5'8 and not overweight and it can be tight on the balconies. And they take credit inside the building for food and drinks and most likely merch - I don't know about parking because I usually go with season ticket holders who get a pass. And as for public transportation, Metra has a stop a couple blocks south at the O-Hare transfer, as well as Pace buses that routinely run by here. Concession prices are still ridiculous though, so you might want to either eat beforehand (there are a whole slew of options within 2 blocks of the Arena).

So with the problems, why 4 stars? Because it's still usually cheaper than going to the United Center for some events. Sight-lines are better, which is what matters most if you're going there for sports. Ticket prices tend to be lower. More pre-and-post game options in the vicinity. And because I just like it better.

There ain't a bad seat in the house...  in that all the seats have a good view.

There ain't a good seat in the house...  in that all the seats are incredibly small and uncomfortable, and packed together so tightly that it's nearly impossible to get to and from your seat when other people are seated next to you.

Getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare.  It took forever, for no apparent reason.  We were one of the first people to our car and somehow one of the last people to get out of the parking lot.  Traffic control fail.

no complaints here.  Nice acoustics, spacious, just what you need in a concert venue.  Anywhere you sit is decent, and i've had an array of seats here.

I have to say again, acoustics are great.  Yes folks, i have been to venues where they just plain suck....keep reading reviews to find out just where.

I went to Disney on Ice  Sunday Feb 7th.

I had a horrible time trying to find my seats.

Ushers kept sending me up and down. I thought I'd never make it.
I missed twenty minutes of my show looking for my seats
    I was infuriated.

When I finally found my seats I demanded that we speak to a supervisor.

The supervisor was condecending and rude.

Then why am I a fan?

I escalted the situation and asked to speak to his boss. Yes I'm that girl. After speaking to the Manager he stopped me half way seeing how upset i was...

    Eyes welting up girl pissed.

And he upgraded my seats. We were on the Ice. It completely made my day and the kids we brought to the show. Way to hault a crazy mad woman at a disney on ice show pal.

I agree that the acoustics here blow but it seems whenever the only two bands I'm willing to pay Ticketbastard's ridiculous prices to see live (The Cure and Depeche Mode) come to town, this is where they play, so it's a necessary evil. I also saw Dane Cook perform here which wasn't as bad as the concerts because at least I could understand him. The food/drink here is god awful and overpriced. I recall paying far too much just for a bottle of water. I hate the parking situation because it is expensive and disorganized. Plan on spending a good deal of time just trying to leave this place. What a cluster!

I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have no other choice, which is probably the case for most people who have been here.
